Helen Mirren is sharing the most hilarious gardening tip.

The 80-year-old actress was a guest on the Monday (August 11) episode of The Tonight Show and she shared a gardening tip with host Jimmy Fallon.

According to Helen, she’s done her research and found out that tomatoes are “bisexual,” knowledge that she says has helped her to grow the plant.

Hollywood stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren have revealed an interesting connection between Tom Hardy and their new movie, The Thursday Murder Club. In a recent appearance on The Today Show, Brosnan and Mirren revealed that they received the offer for the British crime drama, MobLand, while working on the Netflix movie.

Mirren explained that though the script wasn’t complete at that point, she was eager to join, especially knowing Tom Hardy was involved. “We obviously knew that Tom Hardy was involved, and I think both of us should have known that was gonna be a great thing,” the actress said.

The former James Bond star also recalled receiving the offer through their agent. “We had the same agent… and he sent to me, Guy Ritchie, five episodes. I said ‘I’m doing it, I wanna go back to London,'” Brosnan shared. And soon, they were playing a married couple in MobLand.

It’s crazy to think now, but not too long ago there was a huge stigma around online dating. Exclusive: New Line has enlisted screenwriters Ben Zazove and Evan Turner to pen a Space Invaders movie, inspired by the classic Taito arcade game, Deadline has learned.

No word yet on specifics, as to the story they’re spinning here. Weed Road Pictures’ Akiva Goldsman will produce alongside Safehouse Pictures partners Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell, with Greg Lessans & Rachel Wizenberg overseeing for Weed Road, and Matt Schwartz overseeing for Safehouse Pictures.

The U.K.’s Saffron Cherry Productions (Scp) has optioned “Meet Me at Rainbow Corner,” the latest novel from acclaimed actor and bestselling author Celia Imrie. The 2024 release, which is set for paperback publication by Bloomsbury on Aug. 14, will be adapted for television.

The novel follows a group of extraordinary women working at the American GI Club in Piccadilly, London, during World War II. Set against the backdrop of bombings and departures, the story chronicles how these women form lasting friendships while facing danger, heartbreak and unexpected romance. Sheridan is the creator of 1923, the Yellowstone prequel show starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as Jacob and Cara Dutton. 1923 Season 2 earned a perfect 100% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and although it aired its final episode earlier this year in April, the show has still been a consistent force on streaming charts. It’s even closing in on MobLand, the Guy Ritchie-directed series starring Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan. MobLand earned a much lower but still respectable 75% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and the show has already been renewed for a second season, unlike 1923.

Beyond starring as James Bond, Brosnan played lead roles in The Thomas Crown Affair and Mamma Mia!, the latter of which initially generated over $610 million and warranted a sequel. Hayek, who gained recognition in From Dusk Till Dawn and earned an Academy Award nomination for Frida, has several notable hits under her belt. Jassey is referring to none other than Denis Villeneuve, who was announced in June as the next director to take on the franchise — which already has 25 official releases in its canon. As the BAFTA winner returns to one major franchise with Friday’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day teaser, he recently commented on “speculation” that he’s up for the coveted part in the Denis Villeneuve-helmed update of the franchise.
