If the Rick and Morty writers are going to canonically establish that prolific television actress Heather Locklear had sex with one of their gross and weird alien characters, they could have at least chosen one with a normal number of arms in the normal arm places.
In tonight’s new episode of Rick and Morty, “Morty Daddy,” the 14-year-old sidekick Morty made temporary amends with his estranged son Morty Jr., who is the unintended consequence of Rick caving in and buying Morty a sex robot from an alien pawn shop all the way back in Season One. Seeing as Morty Jr. takes most of his physical characteristics from the Gazorpian side of his “family,” he and Morty don’t have a lot of common ground, especially after Morty Jr. wrote the New York Times best-selling tell-all My Horrible Father.
However, Morty and Morty Jr. were able to bond over their shared,...

Sarah Jessica Parker will always be Carrie Bradshaw to us, but the six-time Golden Globe winner almost turned down her iconic Sex and the City role. According to Deadline, the actress wanted to quit the HBO series after the pilot was picked up.
Sarah Jessica Parker told her co-star Kristin Davis on her Are You a Charlotte? podcast that while she had a “lovely” time filming the pilot episode in 1997, she was unsure if she wanted to appear on a television show. “I don’t think I’m suited for that life.”
“I talked to my agents and I said, ‘Hey, can you get me out of this?'” recalled Parker on the podcast, adding that she told HBO she would happily make lots of movies instead of signing up for the TV show. Her agent told her to do it for a year, and if she didn’t like it,...

Tommy Lee and wife Brittany Furlan are divorcing after six years of marriage.
The split appears to stem from ongoing tension in their relationship, with insiders pointing to Lee’s struggle with sobriety as a major factor. While the two are said to still be on speaking terms, they’ve been living apart for more than two weeks, and neither has yet filed for divorce.
The pair, who tied the knot on Valentine’s Day in 2019 after meeting on the exclusive dating app Raya, had often shared glimpses into their quirky, affectionate relationship on social media. But in recent weeks, fans have speculated something was off after Lee unfollowed Furlan on Instagram and posted a cryptic Instagram Story: “I’m sorry, the feelings you’re trying to reach have been disconnected and are no longer available. Please take your bulls–- somewhere else.”

Fans loved watching Kirk and Spock banter but one TV series had the pair at odds! Find out which!
Obviously, many will associate William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy with Kirk and Spock. The pair’s real-life relationship was tricky as it varied from co-stars to friends to being at odds. Reportedly, they were still on rough terms when Nimoy passed away in 2014, and Shatner expressed regret that they never patched things up.
A fun trivia bit is that the pair co-starred in a 1964 episode of the spy series The Man From Uncle as young agents involved in a mission at an embassy, with Shatner putting on a show of being drunk so Nimoy can get closer to a target.
The pair were reunited for the first Star Trek movie in 1979. But between films, they also found time to reunite on TV, including ads. Yet some Trek fans may forget that...

Jack Wagner joined General Hospital as Frisco Jones. When he left, he thought his soap opera past was behind him. He had no interest in joining Melrose Place. At first, he nearly skipped the audition.
Soap Opera Strike
Wagner reflected on his acting career during his interview on the Still The Place podcast. He spoke to hosts Courtney Thorne-Smith, Daphne Zuniga, and Laura Leighton about his audition for Melrose Place. Wagner almost didn’t star on the sexy primetime drama. He didn’t want to do another soap like Gh.
It wasn’t the genre that he was against. Wagner feared that he would get typecast. When his agent suggested the role as Dr. Peter Burns, he tossed the thought aside. Wagner was asked to audition for the show. His initial reaction was, “No chance. I’m not doing it. It feels like a soap.”
Then, there was one thing that changed his mind.

It’s been three decades since Melrose Place debuted on Fox — and Mondays haven’t mellowed one bit. They’re still a bitch.
Since last July — though not always on Mondays — Melrose Place stars Courtney Thorne-Smith, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton have been reuniting weekly for their iHeartRadio podcast, Still the Place. Each episode takes a nostalgic stroll down 4616 Melrose memory lane, as the trio revisits and recaps their old episodes.
“It was pre-cell phone, it was pre-streaming, it was appointment television. It’s when you got together to watch a television show with your friends so you could remember watching a show where you were in your life and who you were with,” Leighton says. “And that’s a unique thing we don’t get any more with television.”
Their journeys often include candid conversations with former castmates, including Thomas Calabro, Andrew Shue, Grant Show, Vanessa Estelle Williams, Doug Savant,...

These days, Jack Wagner is breaking hearts on When Calls the Heart. Viewers love seeing his alter-ego finally get his own romance on the show. The Hallmark star has taken on many iconic roles over the years. Yet, most people recognize him from his General Hospital days.

Jack Wagner teased a possible spoiler for Season 13 of When Calls the Heart. Hearties are dying to know if Hallmark will renew the show, but the network hasn’t announced anything yet. In the meantime, Wagner reveals why it’s high time for his onscreen persona to have a romance.
Time For Love
Bill (Wagner) reconnected with his crush, Georgie (Melissa Gilbert). The two shared a passionate kiss in Wcth Season 12, Episode 10. Georgie confessed to Bill that she’s always loved him. She admired that he “always treated women with such respect.” When they revealed their feelings for one another, they shared a long, steamy kiss.
The kiss took Hearties by surprise. They didn’t expect it. However, Wagner revealed on Facebook Live that it was meant to happen. He first brought up this idea with Gilbert, and they agreed to allow these “unspoken moments” to unfold in the episode.

A revival of the beloved '90s daytime soap opera, Melrose Place went into development at CBS in early 2024. The announcement revealed that original stars Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton, and Daphne Zuniga were onboard to reprise their respective fan-favorite roles. There's since been no concrete update on the status of the revival, and it appears things might be stalling in development. However, the show could feature another original member as Jack Wagner, who played Dr. Peter Burns, has expressed openness to reprising his role in the reboot. Wagner, who, these days, is best recognized for his role on Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart, equallyhighlighted a key challenge the reboot must overcome.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Big Decision (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Sarah Jessica Parker, iconic as Carrie Bradshaw, almost turned her back on Sex and the City. Ahan. She nearly walked away from the role that became her defining career moment—despite the show eventually becoming a cultural phenomenon. Early on, she was uncertain about committing to a long-running TV series, fearing it would box her in creatively and limit her flexibility.
“I was terrified of it, and not in a good way,” Parker told Interview magazine. She compared the idea of doing a TV series to being trapped in a monotonous lifestyle. Parker worried about losing her creative freedom, saying, “You’d never get better, you’d just get comfortable, and that’s it. And then you’re in people’s homes, and your life changes—you can’t go to the market by yourself and pick your tomatoes.” That’s...

Dynasty premiered on ABC on January 12, 1981. The show ranked #28 in its first season. By Season Two, it had broken into the top 10, and by Season Five, it had hit number one. So when should you start watching the show, even though all nine seasons are currently streaming on Amazon Prime? And should you even bother with Season One? Here’s why you should…and why you shouldn’t…below.
Soap Hub may receive a commission on orders placed through retail links.
Why You Should Watch Season One
The first season of Dynasty was a much more down-to-earth show than the jewelry, fur, big shoulder pads, bigger hair, and camp-fest it eventually became. Krystal (Linda Evans) was but a humble secretary who felt out of place in her new husband Blake’s (John Forsythe) mansion. The servants, including snooty Joseph (Lee Bergere), made it clear that, no, she wasn’t imagining things; she really didn’t.

Swamp Thing is a character that's very near and dear to my heart, because Alan Moore's seminal run on the DC Comics character not only introduced me to him and his world, but this run made me love comics as a medium that can stand on its own - a feeling that still persists to this day.
The Swamp Thing is rather well-known to the comic book readers out there, but he isn't quite as well-known to mainstream audiences as some of his DC counterparts. If you weren't aware of existence, then it's probably even less likely that you would know the various adaptions that have been made about the character on both the big and small screens.
With that in mind, let's explore the various adaptions of the Swamp Thing character throughout the decades, and I hope you'll join me on this trip through the bayou!

Peter and Bobby Farrelly's 2005 romantic comedy "Fever Pitch," based on the Nick Hornby novel, was about the relationship travails of a level-headed businesswoman named Lindsey (Drew Barrymore) as she attempted to date a funny and charming schoolteacher named Ben (Jimmy Fallon). Ben admits early in their courtship that he is a fan of the Boston Red Sox. Nay, not just a fan, but an embarrassingly devoted superfan who attends all their games. Lindsey doesn't know much about baseball, and she has to accept that, if she wants to keep seeing Ben, she'll have to attend many, many baseball games with him. She'll also have to follow his emotional ups and downs as his favorite team wins or loses.
Curiously, Hornby's original book wasn't about a baseball team, but Arsenal, an English football club. The title "Fever Pitch" makes more sense with baseball.
"Fever Pitch" was fine, and nothing more.

There was a time when TV guest stars were pure magic, popping up like hidden gems in your favorite shows.
Long before social media spoiled every surprise, guest appearances felt like little events that brought something extra to our screens.
You’d be watching a familiar show, and out of nowhere, a face you knew and loved would walk on, adding an unexpected thrill to the episode.
Mark Harmon on The Love Boat (ABC/Screenshot)
These weren’t ratings gimmicks or social media stunts; they were genuine surprises that made TV feel alive and unpredictable.
For me, The Love Boat and Fantasy Island were cozy weekend rituals, especially when I watched with my grandma.
It wasn’t about knowing every guest star — it was about the fun of seeing who would pop up next, making each episode feel like a surprise package.

It’s been seven months since former mommy vlogger Ruby Franke was sentenced to four consecutive one-to-15-year prison terms after pleading guilty to four counts of child abuse. Remember Green Day’s catchy tune, Nice Guys Finish Last? Well, if you need proof, just look at Tom Cruise striking out on a date in his prime! Who would’ve thought that the man who can bring enemies to their knees couldn’t get Heather Locklear to swoon?
Indeed, from rescuing his partner on-screen as Maverick in Top Gun or performing jaw-dropping stunts as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible, one would think that wooing a lady would be part and parcel of Cruise’s repertoire.

But even the most charming leading men trip over their words. The actor has had three marriages. Oh, and let’s not forget his list of high-profile romances, like those with Cher and Locklear. But hold your horses; let’s talk about that time he crashed and burned on his first date with the latter.

At 90s Con in Daytona Beach, Heather Locklear dug into her ’80s TV past with some revealing takes on what it was like to work on T.J. Hooker and Dynasty at the same time, which men from her past deserve a kiss (and which deserve a slap), and her early experience with Tom Cruise. Working on T.J. Hooker and Dynasty At the Same Time (c)Columbia Pictures Television/courtesy Everett Collection Locklear’s epic run as a TV star started with Dynasty in 1981, where she played Sammy Jo. In 1982, she joined the second season of William Shatner’s T.J. Hooker as Officer Stacy Sheridan. From 1982 to T.J. Hooker’s cancellation in 1986, Locklear filmed the shows simultaneously, traveling from set to set during the day. “They’d drive me,” said Locklear. “I’d be in my police uniform, padded bra, all that s***, and then I’d have to be all glammed up,...

James Darren, the wildly diverse singer-actor who scored Billboard hits and was featured in everything from Gidget to Tj Hooker to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, has passed away. He was 88.
Although James Darren got his career going in the late ‘50s, he found entirely different audiences beginning in the ‘80s by co-starting on the William Shatner-led police drama T.J. Hooker, in which he played officer Jim Corrigan, who primarily partnered with Heather Locklear’s Stacy Sheridan.
The following decade, James Darren was able to combine his crooning and acting skills, landing the role of holographic singer Vic Fontaine in seasons six and seven of Deep Space Nine. The role was originally offered to Frank Sinatra Jr., but he turned it down. James Darren, the former teen idol and pop singer who played the dreamy surfer Moondoggie in three Gidget movies before starring on television on The Time Tunnel and T.J. Hooker, died Monday. He was 88.
Darren died in his sleep at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, his son Jim Moret, a correspondent for Inside Edition, told The Hollywood Reporter. He had entered the hospital for an aortic valve replacement but was deemed too weak to have the surgery; he went home but had to return.
“I always thought he would pull through,” Moret said, “because he was so cool. He was always cool.”
Early in his career, the dark-haired Darren received excellent notices for starring in Let No Man Write My Epitaph (1960) — portraying the son of a hoodlum defended by Humphrey Bogart’s character in 1949’s Knock on Any Door — and for playing the Greek soldier Spyros Pappadimos in The Guns of Navarone...

George Burns sure told a lot of jokes over the course of his long career. Not too many comedians can claim that they performed in the heyday of Vaudeville and hawked Little Caesars pizza to a generation of ‘80s kids who only knew him as “God.”
Amazingly, Burns’ final witticism was made postmortem. Yup, Burns somehow squeezed in one last joke after his death — and it also happened to be about his own death.
In 1996, Burns died following an acute case of being really, really old. Technically, it was due to heart failure, but he lasted until the ripe old age of 100. And it’s a good thing, too, considering that Burns literally wrote a book called How to Live to be 100 — Or More in 1983.
When he turned 100, Burns was asked what his doctor had to say about the fact that he still smoked 10 to 15 cigars a day and regularly indulged in martinis.

Lisa Rinna shared that she would return to her old television stomping grounds if she were asked. She has been on a few popular shows in her time. Yet, she is currently exploring other aspects of her career. So, where would she go if she was given a second chance? Keep reading for more details.
Lisa Rinna Would Return To Her Old TV Stomping Grounds
For years, Lisa Rinna was known for stirring up trouble while telling women they looked gorgeous on Rhobh. She started in Season 5 and exited after Season 12 which was admittedly her roughest season. During the year, her mother, Lois, passed away and that caused her to lash out in ways she never had. It all culminated with an awful trip to Aspen with her co-stars where Kathy Hilton went on a rampage. After the season ended, Lisa opted to exit the series but this was not her first go-round.

When the original Melrose Place aired from 1992 to 1999, there was no better show to feature supreme soapiness. With Jane Mancini (Josie Bissett) and Jo Reynolds (Daphne Zuniga) helming the crew, the series quickly became a first-class drama with outrageous storylines and steamy romances. The show flew to even higher heights after bringing on the legendary Heather Locklear as Amanda Woodward in Season 2, and during its seven seasons on Fox, Melrose Place was the go-to show for viewers interested in catching all the catfights and hookups—the series even inspired a short-lived CW remake in 2009. But now, the crew from the hottest apartment complex in Los Angeles is officially back, as it was recently revealed that a reboot of the show is in the works for CBS.

Looney Tunes: Back in Action offers a wacky blend of physical comedy and meta humor, making it perfect for fans of the cartoon antics. With a star-studded cast and zany gags, this film is a delightful reminder of Looney Tunes' enduring comedic potential. Looney Tunes: Back in Action is a campy, fun-filled movie that showcases the best of blending live-action and animation.
The Looney Tunes characters have been an integral part of our cartoon pop culture for nearly a century. Their endurance is no surprise, as those early features with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and more arrived at the height of the Golden Age of Animation. Even today, these classics are still enjoyed by audiences young and old. What is a surprise is the fact that it took until 1996 for the Tunes to receive their first big-screen movie. That, of course, was Space Jam. While not a critical success, the...

The Melrose Place reboot could redeem the short shrift given to Doug Savant's gay character Matt Fielding. Changes in the social mores of network TV can advance LGBTQ+ representation in the upcoming show. Although Matt died in Melrose Place, there are two major reasons he could potentially return.
The upcoming Melrose Place reboot could be the perfect place for the show to finally do right by one major character. The Fox primetime soap opera began as a spinoff of the teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210 but quickly became iconic in its own right, running for seven seasons and launching the spinoff Models Inc., though that show only lasted one season. Melrose was previously rebooted on The CW the year after the network made a hit out of their 2008 90210 reboot.
A new reboot of the 1990s show is currently in development with Insatiable creator Lauren Gussis at the helm.
