Jean-Claude Van Damme: What are his five best movies?
Image
Jean-Claude Van Damme. The Muscles from Brussels. If you grew up in the early nineties, this handsome Belgian was everywhere. With his unique accent, good looks, and a butt he was all but too happy to show off at least once a film, he was the rare action star that was just as popular with the ladies as the dudes. Changing tastes in the mid-nineties meant that his career as a viable lead in theatrical films started to dry up, which wasn’t helped by some off-screen issues he had with drugs (a Hollywood tale as old as time). But, while his contemporary, Steven Seagal, became something of a parody of himself, Jcvd got clean and doubled down on his craft, emerging as a surprisingly potent actor in some Dtv movies that are way better than anyone gives them credit for.

While his days as an A-list lead might be behind him,...

Disney Lawsuit Ends: Stallone & Gina Carano’s All-Female Expendables Spinoff Now Has a Shot
Image
With Gina Carano and Disney formally closing the chapter on her wrongful termination lawsuit on August 7, 2025, an opportunity has opened up for the actor to finally steamroll the unmade all-femme Expendables spin-off movie. It was reported via Variety that both parties settled before the case (financially backed by Elon Musk on Carano’s end) was set to go before the jury.

Meanwhile, the female Expendables project was first announced in 2012, just as Sylvester Stallone‘s star-studded The Expendables 2 was storming into the theaters. Despite the controversies shadowing the blockbuster action sequel, its box office success ensured that the franchise was ripe for a spin-off, with Carano attached to it right from the get-go.

Can Sylvester Stallone Beat Dolph Lundgren in This Battle That Takes Place Outside of Boxing Ring?
Image
Dolph Lundgren seemed like an unbeatable beast in the film; however, Sylvester Stallone‘s Rocky was able to beat him in the ring. Outside of the ring, they have never gone for a one-to-one match. If they were to compete on their intellect alone, they surprisingly stand equal, that too with a high Iq.

Lundgren has a reported Iq of 160 (via Far Out Magazine). Stallone also has the same Iq, which the two actors share with geniuses like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking (via Daily Mail). Stallone attended Miami Dade College before he went off to the American College of Switzerland.

He later took on a drama major at the University of Miami, but didn’t graduate. He got his Bfa degree only in 1998 after the university accepted his acting and life experiences as college credits to graduate. You would get an idea about his intellect when you learn that...

Alison Brie Says 'Masters of the Universe' Is For Older Fans and Will Not Be Serious
Image
Masters of the Universe fans have received a new update that is sure to make the kids who grew up with the 80s cartoon series very happy – but there’s also plenty for new fans to get excited about as well. Alison Brie recently shared a little insight into the highly-anticipated arrival of the franchise’s first live-action iteration for almost 40 years and answered one question everyone has been asking.

Amazon MGM Studios’ Masters of the Universe is both a reboot of the iconic franchise, which previously saw Dolph Lundgren holding aloft his mighty sword in the name of Castle Grayskull, and a revival of the cartoon series that launched in 1983 with the sole purpose of promoting Mattel’s newest toy line. That has led many fans to wonder if this new version of He-Man will be looking to finally give fans of the cartoon the live-action version of the movie they have always wanted,...

Keanu Reeves' Cyperpunk Thriller Is Streaming Free Next Month
Image
Years before he was hooked up to The Matrix, Keanu Reeves starred in another pioneering cyberpunk thriller, and next month, you'll be able to stream it for free. Based on a story by William Gibson, whose seminal cyberpunk novel Neuromanceris about to get a long-awaited adaptation of its own on Apple TV+, Johnny Mnemonic will be available to stream on the free, ad-supported platform Pluto starting on August 1.

Johnny Mnemonic is set in the same fictional universe as Neuromancer, and shares a character, the cyborg "razorgirl" Molly Millions; in the adaptation, her cybernetic abilities have been toned down, and she's referred to only as "Molly." It was directed by video artist and music video director Robert Longo; it remains, to date, his only feature film. Gibson adapted his own 1981 short story; Johnny Mnemonic was the first of Gibson's works to be adapted for the screen. After numerous stops and starts,...

Jack Nicholson and Michael Keaton in Batman (1989)
Alison Brie clears up rumors about the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie
Jack Nicholson and Michael Keaton in Batman (1989)
When it comes to the interpretation of a superhero character, some different examples to look at would be the Batman franchise. The Caped Crusader has gone through different versions in live-action — which range from the campy Adam West show to the Tim Burton gothic films, to the Joel Schumacher flamboyant camp, to the animated series’ film noir, to the Christopher Nolan serious action take, to Matt Reeves’ hyper noir. While some details have been revealed about the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie, fans anticipating the film are awaiting the approach that Travis Knight is taking for the material.

The story taking place on Earth (although done in the Dolph Lundgren version) could lend itself to either a humorous element or a more adventurous element, or even both. However, Deadline is reporting that Alison Brie, who co-stars in the movie with Nicholas Galitzine, responds to rumors that the film would take a serious tone.

'Masters of the Universe' May Have Revealed Live-Action Snake Mountain & Castle Grayskull
Image
Masters of the Universe fans have been getting some heroic treats recently, with new teasers for the upcoming live-action movie based on the classic 80s cartoon series and toy line. After the new logo reveal, a hint of the iconic theme song, and brief looks at Nicholas Galitzine’s He-Man, San Diego Comic-Con gave them a first good look at the Power Sword and Skeletor’s Havoc Staff, which both carry the same design as the cartoon’s aesthetic. However, the Masters of the Universe booth has also potentially delivered a first look at two of the most iconic locations of the franchise: Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain.

If there is one thing that fans of any nostalgic franchise hate, it is when new iterations mess with the formula. Masters of the Universe seems to have avoided any such complaints so far, with the small glimpses of the movie seen...

Rapid Fire: Brandon Lee’s Action Epic is the Best Movie You Never Saw!
Image
The Story: A college kid (Brandon Lee) witnesses a gangland hit. Betrayed by witness protection, he’s recruited by a task force headed by a no-nonsense cop (Powers Boothe) as a pawn, but little do they know he’s more than able to handle himself against any of his foes.

The Players: Starring: Brandon Lee, Powers Boothe, Tzi Ma & Nick Mancuso. Directed by Dwight H. Little.

The History: The early nineties were the heyday of the martial arts movie star. Steven Seagal and Jean-Claude Van Damme were consistently churning out hits, so if they could become icons, why not a guy like Brandon Lee? He was movie star handsome, could move, was charismatic and could act. Oh yeah – he also happened to be the son of the greatest Kung-Fu movie star of all time, Bruce Lee.

“I wouldn’t want to refer to them as stepping stones. That seems to demean them.

Alison Brie Hypes Her Role as Evil-Lyn in 'Masters of the Universe'
Image
Masters of the Universe is already ramping up its hype, having released teasing images of Nicholas Galitzine’s He-Man, the Power Sword, and revealed the new logo for what Amazon MGM Studios are already promoting as “the global phenomenon.” However, there are many secrets of the revival of the 80s franchise to come, including first looks at character such as Skeletor, Man-At-Arms, and Evil-Lyn. In a recent interview with MovieWeb's George Edelman, Evil-Lyn actress Alison Brie shared her excitement to be part of the movie and playing up to the legacy of the villainous second in command to Skeletor.

Brie’s casting as Evil-Lyn was announced early in the movie’s production, which finally got underway and wrapped earlier this year after many years of delays and misfire attempts to bring the muscleman of Eternia back to the big screen for the first time in almost 40 years. Teasing what the...

Image
He-Man is back in a new Masters of the Universe movie, and this time, he’s bringing a glowing logo, an epic orchestral score, and Jared Leto as Skeletor. We’ll allow you a moment to take a deep sigh at the last part of that sentence. But after years of delays and false starts, a Masters of the Universe reboot film is finally taking shape, and if the new teaser is anything to go by, the filmmakers are aiming for something big. The official Masters of the Universe X account just dropped a short but juicy teaser. In it, we see a swirling red Motu emblem surrounded by magical energy beams, with retro synths and a heroic orchestral build-up that screams ’80s nostalgia. Masters Of The Universe Title Reveal Video Hypes Up The Live-Action He-man Reboot
Image
We've had a couple of official shots of Nicholas Galitzine's He-Man from the new Masters of the Universe movie, and caught sight of him wearing some surprisingly normal clothes on the remake's set. Now, the logo has just been officially revealed (via Toonado.com).

Accompanied by an epic piece of music, the title reveal doesn't tell us much about what to expect, but this hopefully means we're getting a proper first look sooner rather than later.

Shooting recently wrapped on the movie that will play out on both Eternia and Earth. We're expecting this one to be very VFX-heavy, particularly when it comes to Skeletor, a character fans have high expectations for in this newest take on the property.

Whether Bumblebee director Travis Knight can do right by Eternia's greatest warrior remains to be seen. The cast will be led by Galitzine (The Idea of You) as He-Man and...

'Masters of the Universe' Reboot Reveals Logo and Reworking of Original Cartoon Theme Song
Image
It is still almost a year until He-Man is reborn on the big screen in Amazon MGM Studios’ reboot of Masters of the Universe, but they are already killing 80s kids with nostalgia. Following the tease of Nicholas Galitzine as Eternian muscleman, we now have our first look at the official title logo for the movie…and it brought with it a new take on one of the most iconic children’s TV show theme songs ever.

Yes, the ridiculously orchestral bombast of the 1982 cartoon series opens the short teaser you can see below, and anyone who grew up watching the series will not be able to stop a wave of four-decade-old nostalgia sweeping over them as the short burst of music heralds the beginning of a very long year until the movie’s arrival in cinemas.

Directed by Travis Knight, the movie will be the first live-action iteration of...

Amazon MGM Studios tease logo and main theme of Masters of the Universe
Travis Knight in ParaNorman (2012)
When doing press for Bumblebee, director Travis Knight professed to being a huge fan of the original G1 Transformers cartoon from the 80s. His fandom would come through with that movie as the designs and characters felt more in-tune with the source material than Bay’s versions. Purists of the franchise cited his vision as more faithful, and if that’s any indication, Masters of the Universe could be given the same care by Knight as the original Filmation animated series came from that same era.

Amazon MGM Studios looks to be playing their cards close to the chest as we are getting small reveals a little at a time. Nicholas Galitzine, who portrays He-Man, previously teased his look as the Prince of Eternia in an Instagram photo. Now, Amazon MGM releases a “Title Reveal,” which is a short video of the new logo, in different languages, and set to...

By the Power of Grayskull! The ‘Masters of the Universe’ Movie Just Got a Heroic New Update
Image
They may not be fabulous secret powers, but Amazon MGM Studios has revealed the new title treatment for their upcoming Masters of the Universe movie. The newly released video features the logo for the upcoming film, which, like its 1987 predecessor, will simply be called Masters of the Universe. The logo takes its design cues from the original logo for the franchise, which first graced toy packaging, TV screens, and comic books back in 1982.

The clip also features a music sting derived from the 1982 cartoon's theme song, albeit in a considerably more lush and orchestrated form. It also indicates a worldwide release, presenting the logo in a variety of different languages. The franchise has always been a hit around the globe; in fact, several of the final toys from the waning days of the original action figure line were only available in the Italian market. Those days are long since gone,...

The Expendables Movies Ranked
Image
When I turned 15, I developed a sudden compulsion to watch every 1980s and '90s action movie I could get my hands on -- not just the "Rambo" and "Terminator" films or the "RoboCop" and "Predator" movies, but also "Die Hard," "Commando," "TimeCop," and even "Cobra." The campier, the better. So, you can imagine what a delight it was to learn that the stars of all these ridiculous classics were joining forces for a throwback action flick in 2010.

I loved "The Expendables" then, and I love "The Expendables" now, but let's be honest; The franchise has been bad as often as it's been good. And even when it's good, it's that roll-your-eyes-and-laugh kind of good. Daring? Certainly. It takes a certain brazenness to throw Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Chuck Norris into a blender so many years...

Sylvester Stallone Knows Exactly Why Rocky Was Such A Big Hit
Image
The 1970s were a tumultuous time in the United States. Whether you look at political scandals like Watergate, the fallout of the Vietnam War, and severe economic unrest, Americans were feeling quite cynical. Given the vibes in the country at the time, much of what cinema brought reflected the moral ambiguity and raw grit that was fresh on the minds of viewers at the time. Films such as "The Godfather" and "Taxi Driver" are a showcase of some of New Hollywood's rising filmmakers, whose creative sensibilities influenced cinema for generations, and helped reflect the collective cynicism of the American people in that decade. You can read /Film's ranking of the 15 best films of the 1970s here.

However, the audience's cinematic tastes started to evolve thanks to the release of "Jaws" in 1975. Steven Spielberg's film became an unprecedented cultural phenomenon and popularized the modern blockbuster for cinema. Audiences were eager...

Rewind: ‘Masters of the Universe’ Review
Image
“I Have The Power!” was the key to He-Man. He-Man empowered 5-year-old boys like me in the 1980s. You held the sword (which was quite expensive), and suddenly you had the power, not your parents or teacher.

“Doing my research” (watching the Netflix documentary The Toys that Made Us), I was surprised that He-Man was the best-selling toy, but only for a brief few years, before falling off a cliff into obscurity. Mattel’s attempts to bring it back over the years have been met by a collective shrug. It is also worth mentioning that the brilliant Filmation cartoon was a marketing effort to sell toys and merchandise. Unlike the Turtles, which was a weird, dark comic book that was tweaked to turn it into a hit, He-Man was a product of marketing efforts.

The fall of He-Man was abrupt. There seem to be 2 main factors. The first is that Mattel had a quantity-over-quality approach.

15 Amazing '80s Movies That Should Have Gotten Sequels
Image
We tend to think that the movies of the 1980s are constantly mined for franchises. Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Rambo, Terminator -- so many iconic cinematic characters and brands that continue to this day originated in the Reagan era. For every great movie that got a sequel, though, many more didn't, even though they were wonderfully entertaining, and in many cases, they left plenty of room for more.

It's likely you've heard of some of the entries on this list, and a handful of them did well enough at the box office to justify more but never got it together. Others were adapting material that already had further installments, but they just couldn't make enough at the box office to justify the rest. Decades later, some still await sequels supposedly in development, and even if others on this list were not originally wellreceived, they have been re-appraised over time and...

2 Years After Flopping Hard, Jason Statham & Sylvester Stallone's 14% Rotten Action Blockbuster Is Exploding on Streaming
Image
Tons of A-list Hollywood names couldn’t save Expend4bles -- also known as The Expendables 4 -- from a dismal box office haul when it was released in 2023. Now, the fourth installment in the Expendables franchise featuring Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, and Dolph Lundgren is finding new life on streaming.

Per FlixPatrol, Expend4bles is in the No. 6 spot in Starz' Top 10 movies in the United States as of July 1, 2025. The movie is ahead of M3GAN, Imaginary, Don’t Breathe 2, and Never Let Go. In addition to Statham, Stallone, and Lundgren, Expend4bles also stars Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Andy Garcia and Randy Couture.

Expend4bles earned just over $51 million at the worldwide box office, which was about half of its reported $100 million budget. The movie also garnered the most Golden Raspberry Awards nods of any film in 2023. It was nominated for seven “Razzies” that year, including Worst Picture, Worst Supporting Actor for Stallone,...

This “10/10” Action Thriller is Now Number One on Netflix
Image
I think Gerard Butler is one of the finest action stars of our generation. The 300 star and former 2010s heartthrob has successfully pivoted his career to something akin to a modern-day Dolph Lundgren. While not quite the over-the-top action hero, with Butler’s roles more regularly grounded in reality, he has undoubtedly become a staple in action movies. These days, if there’s stuff blowing up in your local movie theater, there’s a pretty solid chance Butler is involved in some capacity.

Recently, my favorite work of his might be Greenland, a disaster movie that defied all odds, emerging as one of the best of the century. I’m partial to the entire Fallen trilogy, too, especially as the franchise grew more and more ridiculous. Now, one of Butler’s recent starring vehicles has landed on Netflix, and is quickly speeding down the runway as the number one movie streaming on the platform.

Kevin Spacey Receives Maximo Excellence Award at Global Series Festival
Image
Kevin Spacey has secured another award as he continues his efforts to make a comeback. The disgraced actor and director received the Maximo Excellence award at the inaugural Italian Global Series Festival in Riccione, Italy. Spacey's career hit a dramatic halt in 2017 as sexual misconduct allegations began to surface against him. Those allegations led to his highly publicized dismissal from Netflix's critically acclaimed House of Cards, where he had portrayed the lead role of Frank Underwood. He was also replaced in Ridley Scott's film All the Money in the World during post-production, with Christopher Plummer reshooting his scenes.

Since his acquittal on charges in the US in 2022 and in the UK in 2023, Spacey has appeared in several independent features. Among these projects is the 2022 Italian drama L'uomo Che Disegnò Dio (The Man Who Drew God), directed by and starring Franco Nero. This film, based on a true story,...

17 Years Later, Jason Statham’s 4% Rotten Tomatoes Fantasy Film Is a Streaming Hit in America

Jason Statham opened the year with A Working Man, his latest action collaboration with director David Ayer, but one forgotten fantasy film from the star has become a streaming hit nearly 20 years after it was released. Statham stars alongside Ron Perlman in In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, the 2007 sword & sorcery action movie following Farmer (Statham), a man who sets out to rescue his wife and avenge the death of his son. Standing in his way are a race of animal-warriors controlled by Gallian (Ray Liotta). In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale recently began streaming on Prime Video, and the film is currently trending on the streamer in America. It earned abysmal scores of 4% from critics and 23% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.

Netflix is never going to let Kevin Spacey’s Gore Vidal biopic see the light of day
Kevin Spacey
One of the last projects Kevin Spacey was working on before the 2017 sexual misconduct allegations made him persona non grata in Hollywood was a biopic of iconic writer Gore Vidal for Netflix. After the allegations, the streaming service naturally cut ties with the actor, leaving the Gore Vidal movie in limbo. According to an in-depth report from IndieWire, Netflix has no intention of releasing the film or selling it to a third party, explaining that the company has already taken a tax write-off.

Producer Andy Paterson says he’s “repeatedly asked Netflix either to show the film or to give me the opportunity to find a new life for it. They have said that they do not intend ever to release the Picture or sell it to a third party.“

Paterson continued, “I, and many others in the creative community, find this an extraordinary statement. The audience — including the Netflix...

'Masters of the Universe' Star and '80s Icon, 67, Hints at an Appearance in Jared Leto's Reboot
Image
Arguably one of the greatest toy-based shows ever made is back on Hollywood's radar, and it might be bringing one of its original champions with it. A rebooted big-screen version of Masters of the Universe is in the queue to be released in 2026, with Dolph Lundgren, who played the lead role of He-Man in the original 1987 movie, teasing a possible return. While an impressive cast has been assembled to recreate this classic, it stands to reason not to imagine a planet Eternia without the original He-Man, just like it sounds a bit off to imagine Indiana Jones without Harrison Ford.

Purple Hearts star Nicholas Galitzine will bring the character to life in the reboot. The actor recently announced the end of filming, bringing finality to a project that was initially muted in 2007. In a recent interview with Men’s Journal, Lundgren was asked about his possible involvement in the new film.

Jon Bernthal's Punisher Is Joining Spider-Man: Brand New Day, And That's Perfect For Peter Parker
Image
Although much of the attention for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is on "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" hitting theaters on July 25, 2025, as well as "Avengers: Doomsday" currently in production, we just got perhaps the most intriguing update regarding "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Emmy-winner Jon Bernthal is set to make his big screen debut as Frank Castle/The Punisher in the upcoming film, set to be helmed by "Shang-Chi" director Destin Daniel Cretton.

That's right. Jon Bernthal's Punisher will finally be making his first appearance in an MCU film, and most fittingly, it will be in a "Spider-Man" movie. While fans continue to speculate about whether or not "Brand New Day" will be the right story for Tom Holland's Peter Parker following the tectonic shift in his life after the events of "No Way Home," the addition of Frank Castle...

Masters Of The Universe Star Dolph Lundgren Has A Cryptic Response About A Potential Return In 2026 Reboot
Image
As Masters of the Universe prepares to return in 2026, former He-Man actor Dolph Lundgren discusses the franchise's revival and his potential role in it. Lundgren originally played the live-action version of He-Man in the cult favorite 1987 Master of the Universe, a campy, interdimensional adventure that brought the characters of Eternia into the real world. The new Masters of the Universe live-action film is helmed by Travis Knight and stars Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, alongside Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, Idris Elba, and Jared Leto, and is set to be released on June 5, 2026, by Amazon MGM Studios.

In a Men's Journalinterview, Lundgren reflected on his 1987 portrayal of the sword-wielding hero, what makes him different from other action heroes, and spoke about the upcoming reboot, which recently wrapped filming. While praising the cast and scale of the new film, Lundgren was asked about a potential cameo in the film, to which he responded cryptically,...

Masters of the Universe: Dolph Lundgren teases that he might appear in the new film
Masters of the Universe (2026)
After spending a couple of decades in development hell, a live-action feature film adaptation of Masters of the Universe has finally made its way through production, with Nicholas Galitzine in the role of Adam / He-Man… and during a recent interview with Men’s Journal, Dolph Lundgren – who played He-Man in the previous live-action Masters of the Universe film, released in 1987 – teased that he might make an appearance in the new movie as well!

Bumblebee director Travis Knight is at the helm of this new take on Masters of Universe, working from a screenplay by Chris Butler that’s based on earlier drafts by David Callaham and formerly attached directors Aaron and Adam Nee. The story follows ten-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam...

'Masters of the Universe': Dolph Lundgren Seems to Confirm Casting in New Movie
Image
Masters of the Universe fans have been hyped up about the return of He-Man to the big screen next summer with several new images shared by the cast as filming on the movie wrapped at the end of last week. But original Masters of the Universe star, Dolph Lundgren, has made sure that he isn’t left out of the party, after once again teasing his own role in the upcoming reboot.

Back in March, Lundgren shared that he was in London to work on “a secret project,” which just happened to be at the same time filming was in full flow on Masters of the Universe. This led to fans instantly assuming that, putting two and two together, Lundgren wlll be making an appearance in the movie in some capacity. Now, Lundgren has once again seemingly teased that he will be in the movie, but is remaining tight-lipped about...

He-man Actor Dolph Lundgren Teases "Secret" Role In New Masters Of The Universe Movie
Image
The new live-action Masters of the Universe movie from Amazon MGM Studios recently wrapped principal photography, with several main and supporting cast members sharing behind-the-scenes photos featuring teasing glimpses of their respective costumes.

This latest take on the classic animated series/toy line features a sprawling cast and a lot of characters (some have yet to be announced), and it sounds like we may also get an appearance from the original live-action He-Man, Dolph Lundgren.

Speculation that Lundgren, who played Eternia's muscle-bound protector in the much-maligned 1987 movie, might be set to make a cameo in the reboot first began when the actor shared some social media posts mentioning a "secret" project he was working on in London early on during production, and the '80s action star was asked about the rumors during an interview with Mensjournal.com.

"It's a bit of a secret, but I can't say much,...

Image
By the power of Grayskull, Nicholas Galitzine transforms from Prince Adam to the almighty He-Man when fabulous secret powers are revealed to him to become the most powerful man in the universe. Bumblebee director Travis Knight takes on the duties of bringing Eternia to the big screen in the upcoming Masters of the Universe adaptation. Knight’s impressive work on Kubo and the Two Strings was followed up by the Transformers prequel spin-off, Bumblebee, and most fans of the franchise have hailed it as one of the best and faithful to the original series. Knight was a professed fan of the 80s original, which made him pretty ideal for that property and one can assume he’ll bring the same enthusiasm to his Masters of the Universe reboot.

'Masters of the Universe' Trap Jaw Actor Teases Fans With New Wrap Image
Image
Just a day after one Masters of the Universe star teased his Moss Man prosthetics, another actor has been giving fans an eyeful of his classic He-Man character – literally.

Masters of the Universe is getting its first live-action movie in over 30 years, with Nicholas Galitzine taking on the role of the muscle man of Eternia, He-Man, and being joined by plenty of familiar faces for those who grew up with the 80s cartoon series. While Dolph Lundgren’s 1987 movie had only a passing resemblance to the series thanks to a combination of budget and IP restrictions among other things, Amazon MGM Studios’ reboot is making sure that fans get exactly what they want this time around, including several classic characters appearing in live-action for the first time.

Sam C. Wilson announced on his Instagram account that he has finished filming his role as the man-machine villain, Trap Jaw, and shared...

'Masters of the Universe' Star Teases Moss Man Prosthetics
Image
Masters of the Universe is deep in production right now, with several set images having teased a look at the movie’s lead and some of the locations being used in the film. While we are yet to see Nicholas Galitzine’s transformation from Prince Adam into the mighty He-Man, another star of the film has been teasing the practical prosthetics that will bring their key He-Man ally to life in the movie.

Stephen Adentan will play Moss Man in Masters of the Universe - a kind of Eternian Swamp Thing if you will. It seems that while there will be plenty of CGI aspects to it its characters seem to be sticking to the tried-and-tested use of practical effects to transform several actors into heroes and villains that fans have wanted to see in a live-action movie for decades.

Aquaman 2 Ott Verdict (Week 2) Update (Photo Credit – Prime Video)

Aquaman 2 is also not enjoying a good time on the streaming platform. It was a box office failure, and after debuting at a top spot last week, it has dropped further down. Arthur Curry joins forces with his half-brother Orm to confront Black Manta, who has gained control of the formidable Black Trident and seeks to awaken an ancient, malevolent force. The film delves into themes of brotherhood, legacy, and the weight of responsibility. Due to Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s court case, people online petitioned for the former’s removal from the film. Before Friends, Courteney Cox Starred In A Goofy Fantasy Flop
Image
These days, Courteney Cox is a globally-known actor with several leading roles in sitcoms under her belt and an established place in the "Scream" universe as reporter Gale Weathers, but in the mid 1980s, she was just an unknown who had danced onstage with Bruce Springsteen in his music video for "Dancing in the Dark." Other than a few appearances in shows like "Murder, She Wrote" and "The Love Boat," she didn't have many credits to her name, but in 1987 she got a fairly major role in a movie that had the potential to be a huge blockbuster: "Masters of the Universe."

"Masters of the Universe" was a wildly popular franchise that originally started as a line of toys, and in 1987, there was a cartoon series and animated movies about the adventures of Prince Adam, known better as He-Man, so a live-action "Masters of the Universe" movie seemed like a sure thing.

Jason Statham's 14% Rotten Tomatoes Action Thriller With a 'Tulsa King' Star is Crushing Streaming Opposition
Image
It may have been steamrolled by critics, but Jason Statham's Expend4bles is throwing haymakers on streaming again. The fourth and final installment in the testosterone-fueled Expendables franchise has bulldozed its way back into the Starz top 10 in the last week, and it's all thanks to the unexpected ripple effect of Statham’s newest theatrical hit, A Working Man. Despite debuting with a bruising 14% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, the loud and brash 2023 action thriller has proven once again that audience taste doesn’t always line up with critical consensus. Expend4bles currently holds a far more respectable 69% audience rating, and fans are clearly hungry for more Statham mayhem while revisiting his most recent (and most explosive) team-up with Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, and Tulsa King’s own Sylvester Stallone.

Expend4bles first dropped in 2023 to grim reviews and a whimper at the box office, seemingly putting a nail in the franchise’s coffin.

Despite 33% Rotten Tomatoes Score, the Dceu's Last Movie Makes a Splash as a Netflix Streaming Hit
Image
The Dceu may have had its moments on the big screen since its debut in 2013, but the universe of superheroes came to an end with more of a whimper than a bang with the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. As the follow-up to James Wan's $1.15 billion blockbuster starring Jason Momoa as the king of Atlantis, it had to travel a bumpy road to its eventual release at the end of 2023. Between the pandemic, the extensive VFX work, and many other complicating factors, it took over five years from the original's release and a budget of over $200 million to get Arthur Curry's next underwater adventure into theaters, and the final product was far from what critics had hoped. However, a 33% Rotten Tomatoes score and an underwhelming $439.3 million box office haven't kept viewers at home from checking out the feature in droves on Netflix.

15 Actors Who Stormed Off Set While Filming
Image
As we learned with the Screen Actors Guild strikes of 2023, the life of your average working actor isn't all glitz and glam. Actors at all levels are expected to work round-the-clock hours, surrounded by dozens of people led by sometimes egotistical directors. They forego food, sleep, even bathroom breaks to get that perfect take. Though the final product we see onscreen may look perfect to us, the making of the films and TV we love sometimes comes at the expense of the actors' sanity.

Actors are human, and despite years of formal training, even they have breaking points. Some breakdowns are completely reasonable, others, well, let's just say "dramatic" would be a charitable interpretation of them. Stars from renowned classic cinema to beloved sitcoms have stormed off set for surprising reasons, for the better and worse of the media they starred in.

Here are 15 actors stormed off set while filming a movie or TV show.
