Dolph Lundgren seemed like an unbeatable beast in the film; however, Sylvester Stallone‘s Rocky was able to beat him in the ring. Outside of the ring, they have never gone for a one-to-one match. If they were to compete on their intellect alone, they surprisingly stand equal, that too with a high Iq.
Lundgren has a reported Iq of 160 (via Far Out Magazine). Stallone also has the same Iq, which the two actors share with geniuses like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking (via Daily Mail). Stallone attended Miami Dade College before he went off to the American College of Switzerland.
He later took on a drama major at the University of Miami, but didn’t graduate. He got his Bfa degree only in 1998 after the university accepted his acting and life experiences as college credits to graduate. You would get an idea about his intellect when you learn that...

James Cameron may be exploring how artificial intelligence can help assist directing blockbuster movies, but he’s still aware that his “Terminator” franchise could very much become a reality if AI gets into the wrong hands. In an interview with Rolling Stone to promote the book release of “Ghosts of Hiroshima,” which he plans on adapting into a movie, the Oscar-winning “Titantic” and “Avatar” director said an arms race relying on AI is a dangerous thing.
“I do think there’s still a danger of a ‘Terminator’-style apocalypse where you put AI together with weapons systems, even up to the level of nuclear weapon systems, nuclear defense counterstrike, all that stuff,” Cameron said. “Because the theater of operations is so rapid, the decision windows are so fast, it would take a super-intelligence to be able to process it, and maybe we’ll be smart and keep a human in the loop.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Netflix project, Fubar, has been cancelled after just two seasons (via Deadline), and the noise surrounding the show’s failure is also affecting other movies from the actor’s filmography, like Sabotage. The violent thriller is loosely inspired by Agatha Christie’s novel titled And Then There Were None.
Fubar began with a bang in 2023 and had a veteran star like Schwarzenegger in the lead, so expectations were high. But by its second run, the show dramatically lost its steam, but his movie, Sabotage, has made a surprising comeback on Prime Video.
Let’s look at how Fubar’s failure might have overshadowed Schwarzenegger’s other notable entry, and how Sabotage has quietly made a return.

After debuting in May 2023, Fubar had some strong numbers and a lot going on for it.

What are the greatest action movies of all time? It’s a controversial question, isn’t it? Any time any publication or site puts out a new list of what they consider the best action movies of all time, it can’t help but generate a ton of controversy. Nevertheless, we here at JoBlo have decided to throw our hats into the ring with a list we really hope generates some nostalgia among our viewers but also encourages them to seek out the movies on this list that they may not have seen. But first, some may wonder where superhero movies are on this list. Given how broad that genre is, we decided to stick to old-school action, so we have left them off the list, as they deserve their own ranking. There are also a few absences from the list, notably some Jackie Chan Hong Kong films (like Police Story...

Shout Factory has recently been unleashing a number of goodies for genre fans. Recently, they’ve headlined the 4K releases of some Hong Kong action classics, which also includes a new streaming channel of said 4K releases. Now, they are announcing a new 25th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray of the Arnold Schwarzenegger horror-actioner End of Days. By 1999, Schwarzenegger had been experimenting with more family-friendly movies in his career, which included Junior, Jingle All the Way and the much derided villainous turn in Batman & Robin. For his edgy comeback, who can Arnold fight that is as larger-than-life as he is? How about the devil himself?!
The description reads,
“You Will Bear Witness.
All hell breaks loose when Arnold Schwarzenegger battles the ultimate evil in the supernatural action/thriller, End Of Days. When burned-out former New York City cop Jericho Cane (Schwarzenegger) is assigned to security detail for a mysterious stranger, he thwarts an assassination attempt.

Liam Neeson is the last person to have an opinion on Sex and the City, but a promo of The Naked Gun reboot sees him call Samantha a strong word. Neeson replaced Leslie Nielsen in the iconic spoof comedy movie franchise, and though it was an unorthodox choice for the part, the very fact seems to be working for the movie.
The movie franchise thrives on stupid jokes told in a deadpan manner, and Neeson seems to have nailed the part. A scene with Paul Walter Hausen, a fellow cop on the same case, sees Neeson confuse the ‘Miranda Rights’ with ‘Miranda Writes’ and clarify that Carrie writes, Miranda is a lawyer, and (surprisingly) says, ‘Samantha is a h*e’.

Fubar starred Arnold Schwarzenegger on Netflix, but it only ran for two seasons. Canceled, there won’t be a third installment of the live-action TV series. Recently, Arnold sort of blamed his son, Patrick, for the show’s demise. Read on to find out more.
Patrick’s Fault?
Arnold Schwarzenegger is a huge star, and it seems impossible that he could get canceled. Well, it turns out he can’t believe it either. Not long ago, he spoke with Seth Meyers on NBC’s Late Night. The duo talked about Patrick Schwarzenegger, who appeared on HBO’s The White Lotus as Saxon Ratliff.

Partick’s on-screen persona came across as a cocky guy enjoying a lavish getaway in Thailand. Notably, his role was marked by bold, over-the-top confidence and cringe-worthy sexual comments. It seems the entitled alpha male is popular again,...

A new featurette for Red Sonja has been released online by Samuel Goldwyn Films, and you can view it in the player below. The featurette runs for just under two minutes, and it showcases both clips from the fantasy epic in addition to behind-the-scenes footage. You will also be pleased to learn that the film has received an R-rating from the MPAA, so it will be just as violent as the Red Sonja comics which fans have enjoyed over the years.
Red Sonja was directed by M. J. Bassett, who previously directed films such as Deathwatch, Wilderness, the criminally underrated Solomon Kane, Silent Hill: Revelation, and Inside Man: Most Wanted. The screenplay was provided by Tasha Huo, and the film stars Matilda Lutz as the titular heroine, with the supporting cast including Michael Bisping, Martyn Ford, Wallis Day, Rhona Mitra, Robert Sheehan, and Veronica Ferres.

Loni Anderson, the TV star best known for playing Jennifer Marlowe on the sitcom Wkrp in Cincinnati, has died at the age of 79. Her publicist, Cheryl J. Kagan, said she passed away in Los Angeles on August 3 after a long illness. She was just two days away from turning 80. Anderson was with her closest family members when she died.
Her family broke the news in a public statement. “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother,” they said. They decided not to share any more about her health problems.
Fans are remembering how much Anderson cared about health causes, especially her work to spread awareness about Copd, a serious lung disease. She often spoke about it and worked to help people dealing with it. She also spent years caring for her parents, who were both very ill.
Born in Minnesota, Anderson dreamed of acting from a young age.

Loni Anderson, the twice Emmy-nominated star of Wkrp in Cincinnati, has died at the age of 79, days before her 80th birthday.
Her cause of death was “an acute prolonged illness,” her longtime publicist, Cheryl J. Kagan, told Deadline.
“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother,” Anderson’s family said in a statement.
Anderson is best known for her role as the clever receptionist Jennifer Marlowe in CBS’ sitcom about the eccentric staff of a struggling Top 40 rock radio station in Ohio. Created by Hugh Wilson, the multi-cam comedy ran from 1978 through 1982, and Anderson’s ultra-capable employee appeared in all but one of the series’ 90 episodes. Her vivacious character cemented her as a bona fide TV sex symbol and subverted stereotypical “dumb blonde” tropes, as Jennifer remained savvy among a team of often incompetent coworkers, refusing to do typical receptionist chores like fetch coffee or take dictation.

Taylor Sheridan has carved a very specific niche for himself at Paramount. He's the mastermind behind "Yellowstone" and its myriad spinoffs like "1883" and "1923," which remain some of the best shows in the creative's oeuvre. All of his other shows, like "Landman" and "Tulsa King," have a distinctly neo-western vibe to them, which has clearly resonated with audiences. But before he was a taste maker, Sheridan tried to make a living as an actor, something that was easier said than done.
Sheridan still acts too. In fact, he had a supporting role as Travis Wheatley in "Yellowstone," but his bread and butter comes from behind the camera with his responsibilities as a writer, director, and producer. But acting used to be his main gig, showing up in episodes of "Walker, Texas Ranger," "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," and "Party of Five," to name a few.

Netflix has canceled Fubar after Season 2's lackluster performance, despite positive reception from audiences. It's bittersweet news for fans, because the series finale is now a cliffhanger that will never be resolved.
Fubar has been canceled following Season 2's disappointing launch. Per Deadline, Season 2's June premiere barely made the Netflix weekly top ten, garnering 2.2 million views over a four-day weekend; Season 1 raked in 11 million views in the same run. Season 2 performed better on its first full week, peaking at 3.3 million views. It re-entered the rankings in its third week, grabbing tenth place with 1.8 million views.
The show has since dropped out of the streamer's most-watched list. Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be back on Netflix after his action series Fubar finally lived up to its name after two seasons. Season 2 of the Terminator star’s first leading-role TV appearance aired back in June to very mixed reviews and a lackluster viewership, so perhaps its fate is not the most surprising outcome for the series.
The cancellation means that the insane adventures of Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) and his CIA-agent daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) have now come to a close, and we will not see how their father/daughter bickering could have continued to play out in another series. This will be a disappointment to fans who embraced the show’s blatant tongue-in-cheek approach to the action genre, which played tropes from every Schwarzenegger movie of the last four decades.
Created by Reacher show-runner Nick Santora and produced by Skydance Television, Fubar arrived with a bang on Netflix...

Netflix has officially canceled Fubar after 2 seasons — and fans of the series starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro are saying the same thing about the news. On August 1, Deadline reported that Fubar would not return for Season 3. The decision came after its Season 2 premiere on July 12 yielded lackluster viewership on the streaming platform. Only 2.2 million views came in from Thursday to Sunday, down from 11 million views for the Season 1 premiere weekend. Fubar peaked at #7 on Netflix with 3.3 million views during its first full week. For its third week, the show dropped to #10 with 1.8 million views before it exited the Top 10 altogether. For the action-comedy series, CIA agent Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) discovered his daughter, Emma (Barbaro), was also part of the CIA. The father-daughter duo was forced to work together to stop an arms dealer, blurring the lines between their professional and personal lives. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s stint as a secret agent with family troubles comes to an abrupt end, as Netflix cancels Fubarafter 2 seasons.
It was big news when, back in 2023, legendary film star Schwarzenegger signed on to star in a series for the world’s biggest streamer. Fubar season 1 launched on the strength of Schwarzenegger’s name, and was an immediate hit, garnering 11 million views in its premiere weekend.
It took two years for Fubar season 2 to make its way to Netflix, and perhaps that was too long a gap, as the show premiered to just 2.2 million views, barely cracking the streamer’s top 10.
The show’s disappointing season 2 numbers convinced Netflix that Fubar is indeed Fubar, leading to the show being canceled (via Deadline). The numbers don’t lie: Fubar only made it to #7 on the Netflix top 10 English-language series chart its first full week, and made only one more appearance...

Netflix just pulled the plug on Fubar, the action-packed spy thriller starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, after two seasons, leaving fans bummed out. The cancellation, announced on Friday, likely stems from a massive drop in viewership for the second season, according to various sources. Fubar marked Schwarzenegger’s first venture into TV, and its debut season in 2023 was a hit, topping Nielsen’s streaming charts with 1.53 billion viewing minutes in its premiere week.
It also scored 11 million views on Netflix’s Top 10 list, snagging the number-one spot. The show followed Luke, a CIA operative played by Schwarzenegger, who discovers his daughter Emma is also a spy. Together, they tackled a high-stakes mission with plenty of action and cheeky humor. Fans loved the father-daughter dynamic and the show’s wild twists, but critics were less impressed, giving it a 51% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes with an average of 5.4/10.

Netflix canceled Fubar after two seasons, disappointing fans who had hoped the show would continue. While Netflix hasn’t given an official reason for ending the series, the sharp drop in viewers during the second season likely played a big role in the decision.
Arnold Schwarzenegger made his small-screen debut with Fubar, and the first season was a hit. It topped Nielsen’s streaming charts in its premiere week back in 2023, with 1.53 billion minutes watched.
But the second season, which premiered in 2025, saw a massive decline, dropping to just 412 million minutes during its debut week. That’s a 73% fall in total viewing time, and it probably sealed the show’s fate at Netflix.
Season 1 also had strong numbers in terms of viewers, pulling in 11 million views and securing the top spot on Netflix’s English-language Top 10 list. However, season 2 only managed 2.2 million views in its first four days. It barely...

"Reacher" has proved to be a massive hit for Prime Video, with season 3 breaking ratings records for the streamer. As enjoyable as the action and writing is on the show, though, there's no getting around the fact that star Alan Ritchson is the main draw. Not only has he given fans a physically accurate version of Jack Reacher after Tom Cruise failed to do so with his two movies based on Lee Child's novels, but he's also brought an array of other skills to the role that have made the series one of Prime Video's most successful. The actor adeptly handles Reacher's atypical sense of humor, for example, bringing the character to life in a way that goes beyond simply being a 235-pound monster of a man.
But "Reacher" was hardly the first time Ritchson demonstrated his comedic timing and general sense of humor. The actor, who's been working...

Netflix has canceled the Arnold Schwarzenegger spy comedy Fubar after two seasons, ending the actor’s first series role six weeks after the second batch of episodes appeared on the platform. The streamer notified producers late Thursday; internal figures show the Season 2 premiere drew about 2.2 million views in its first four days versus roughly 11 million for the 2023 launch, a 73 percent slide that pushed the show off the Top 10 chart after three weeks.
The new eight-episode run, filmed in Toronto and wrapped last August, dropped on June 12, 2025, following a Guinness-record marketing stunt that unveiled a 22-foot Luke Brunner action figure on the first day of shooting. A company representative said management is “proud of the work delivered” but will reallocate resources to other action franchises on its slate.

Netflix has pulled the plug on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s spy action show Fubar after just two seasons. The decision came on August 1, 2025, roughly six weeks after Season 2 hit the platform on June 12, according to reports from Netflix’s announcements. The show, which leaned heavily on Schwarzenegger’s massive fame, had a big debut back in May 2023 but struggled to keep viewers hooked for its second run.
Fubar follows Luke Brunner, played by Schwarzenegger, and his daughter Emma, played by Monica Barbaro, who both discover they’re secretly CIA operatives. They’ve been lying to each other for years, clueless about each other’s real jobs. Forced to team up on dangerous missions, they clash when Luke treats Emma like a kid or freaks out about her safety and love life.

Netflix has decided not to continue with a third season of Fubar, the spy action series starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This announcement came about a month and a half after Season 2 was released on June 12, 2025. Despite Schwarzenegger’s huge star power, the show struggled to keep its audience, leading to the cancellation after just two seasons.
Fubar first premiered in May 2023 and had a strong start, helped in part by Schwarzenegger’s worldwide fame. Monica Barbaro, who stars alongside him, had also gained attention by becoming an Oscar nominee between the first and second seasons for her work in A Complete Unknown. However, when Season 2 finally arrived more than two years later, the show’s viewership dropped sharply.
According to Netflix viewing data, Season 2 barely made it into the Top 10 English-language shows during its first week, landing at the very bottom with 2.2 million views from Thursday to Sunday. This was a...

Netflix has officially canceled Fubar after two seasons, marking an abrupt end to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first leading role in a scripted streaming series. The announcement came just hours ago, with its streaming ratings being cited as the reason for its cancellation, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
An action-comedy, the series starred former Mr. Olympia and Oscar nominee Monica Barbaro as a father-daughter spy duo, working for the CIA. Though the first season debuted with strong viewing numbers, the sophomore installment failed to maintain momentum.
The second season featured him taking on an old flame, portrayed by Carrie-Anne Moss, who threatens to destroy his life and the world, face-to-face. Unfortunately, it delivered a performance so underwhelming that even enthusiastic fans weren’t enough to save it.

Fubar has been canceled after two seasons, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
News of the show’s cancellation arrived Friday night after its streaming ratings notably declined between season premieres. After debuting on Netflix at No.1 on Nielsen’s streaming charts during its premiere week two years ago in May 22-28 with 1.53 billion minutes of viewing, season two accumulated 412 million viewing minutes this year during the week of June 9-15.
In total, Fubar’s minutes of viewing declined by 73 percent from season one to two. During its premiere week, the series landed at No. 8 among Netflix’s original shows for its second season.

We have some bad news for fans of the action comedy series Fubar. Unfortunately, after two seasons, Netflix has officially canceled Fubar starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro.
Deadline broke the news late on Friday, Aug. 1, but fans of Fubar have probably been waiting for this news for months. We were just waiting for Netflix to make this news official, and now, it's here.
Fubar was one of the biggest action comedies when it premiered on Netflix in the spring of 2023. Netflix quickly renewed the series from Nick Santora for a second season before things got rocky. There was a two-year gap between the first two seasons of the series. When Fubar season 2 premiered on Netflix on June 12, 2025, it was a huge flop! It fell out of the Netflix Top 10 after just three weeks, which is basically the kiss of death for any Netflix original series. Netflix really wants their...

Netflix has canceled the Arnold Schwarzenegger series “Fubar” after two seasons, Variety has confirmed. The series was a hit for the streamer in Season 1, back in 2023, but failed to perform as well during its second season, which premiered on June 12 — more than two years after its initial run. The show managed to make Nielsen’s streaming originals top 10 for the week of June 16, after its premiere, but then fell off the chart the following week.
Here was the logline to the series: “Luke Brunner is a veteran CIA operative who, up until recently, was on the verge of retirement. After his last mission in saving another operative – who just so happened to be his daughter – he’s back and face to face with new villains. This one is an old flame from Luke’s past who threatens to destroy the world…if she doesn’t destroy his life first.”

Deadline reports that Netflix has cancelled Fubar after just two seasons. The action/comedy series starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as Luke Bremmer, a CIA operative on the verge of retirement who discovers a family secret and is forced to go back into the field for one last job. Unfortunately, the cancellation isn’t a big surprise, as the second season came and went with minimal impact, with the show barely occupying the last spot in Netflix’s Top 10 in its first week.
The second season saw Carrie-Anne Moss join the cast as Greta Nelso, a former East German spy who has a passionate history with Schwarzenegger’s character. The show also starred Monica Barbaro as Emma Brunner, Luke’s daughter and a fellow CIA operative. The rest of the cast includes Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Fabiana Udenio, Aparna Brielle, Guy Burnet, Andy Buckley, Jay Baruchel, Barbara Eve Harris,...

Netflix has officially pulled the plug onFUBAR, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s spy-action comedy, after two seasons, per Deadline. The cancellation comes just over six weeks after Season 2 launched on June 12 — and despite the show's attempts to go bigger and bolder, the numbers didn’t back it up. He said he’d be back. Exclusive: Netflix is not proceeding with a third season of Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s spy action series Fubar. The decision comes about a month and a half after Season 2 launched on the platform on June 12.
It follows a surprisingly soft return for the series, which, likely fueled by Schwarzenegger’s global star power, had a strong debut in May 2023 and also stars Monica Barbaro who became an Oscar nominee between Seasons 1 and 2 for A Complete Unknown.
With Season 2 released more than two years after Season 1 dropped, Fubar barely made Netflix’s Top 10 for English-language series in its first week, landing in the last spot with 2.2M views from Thursday through Sunday, down from about 11M views for the show’s Season 1 premiere weekend. Season 2 peaked at #7 in its first full week with 3.3M views and logged one more #10 finish in Week 3 with 1.8M views before dropping out of the Top 10.

"To see my people again is all I dreamed of..." She must fight to return home! Goldwyn Films has debuted a behind-the-scenes promo featurette for the new Red Sonja fantasy action movie, based on the famous Red Sonja "She-Devil with a sword" character which was featured in Marvel Comics during the 1970s. There was already a famous Red Sonja movie from 1985 featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Brigitte Nielsen as Red Sonja. This action-packed new adaptation will be released in theaters this August. Enslaved by an evil tyrant who wishes to destroy her people, barbarian huntress Red Sonja must unite a group of unlikely warriors to face off against Draygan The Magnificent. Directed by action filmmaker M.J. Bassett, this new Red Sonja stars Matilda Lutz (from the thriller Revenge) as the title character, with Wallis Day as Annisia, Robert Sheehan as Draygan, Michael Bisping, Martyn Ford, Eliza Matengu, Rhona Mitra, and Veronica Ferres.

Who would you say are the best current action stars? Tom Cruise? Jason Statham? Keanu Reeves? Donnie Yen? Dwayne Johnson? Well, guess what—all of those actors are over fifty. In fact, Cruise, Reeves, and Yen are all over sixty. A few of the most legendary action stars, all of whom are still cranking out movies—like Sylvester Stallone, Jackie Chan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Liam Neeson—are well over seventy. And Harrison Ford, Indiana Jones himself, is in his eighties.
So what, you might say—people get old. Deal with it. And that’s absolutely true. But there’s a huge vacuum in Hollywood that no one really addresses: where are the younger action heroes? Who is going to pick up the mantle once the legends are gone?
Of the names listed above, I’d expect Statham, Reeves, and Cruise to keep making action movies well into their seventies and beyond.

In its original iteration, the Zucker brothers’ Naked Gun wasn’t just carried by Leslie Nielsen’s performance––nearly every aspect of the first two David Zucker-directed films was a reflection of it. As buffoonish detective lieutenant Frank Drebin, Nielsen’s scenery-chewing baritone encapsulated the square-jawed, hypermasculine self-seriousness of a generation of patriotic popular entertainment unleashed on America during the Reagan years, themselves often self-conscious mimics of the leading men and man-of-action morality plays of the midcentury Hollywood pulp on which Nielsen cut his teeth. Drebin’s guileless stupidity as he bumbles through formula-perfect cop thriller plots playing the maverick hero, and Nielsen’s readiness to bug his eyes out or call a man “Mr. Poopy Pants” in the middle of an otherwise dead-serious delivery, gleefully deflated the macho put-on, luxuriating in pushing the already juvenile nature of the popular fantasies just a few key steps over the edge from self-parody to parody.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has had a prolific but inconsistent career. On the one hand, he has been part of some huge action movies, including The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Both are regarded as sci-fi action classics, and have maintained interest even after decades.
On the other hand, the actor has had his fair share of flops over the course of his career. Such is the case, for example, with his 1985 version of Red Sonja. Despite its basis in existing comic book material, the film ended up making only $6.9 million worldwide. The following year, he released Raw Deal, which made only $16.2 million.
Schwarzenegger has particularly struggled in recent years, decades after his career peak. His 2017 film Aftermath, for example, did not even get a wide release in the United States and made less than $1 million from international markets. Now, one of his other 21st century bombs is doing well on streaming.

Hollywood has seen plenty of legendary directors leave their mark through bold storytelling, unforgettable visuals, and genre-defining work. But few have shaped modern cinema quite like James Cameron, the three-time Academy Award winner who built his legacy on massive ideas, cutting-edge technology, and films that push the boundaries of what movies can be.
Cameron doesn’t care about releasing one film after another. He takes his time, sometimes more than a decade, to shape a story until it’s exactly the way he envisioned it. And when he finally puts out a movie, audiences show up in full force. They don’t just watch it. They absorb it. They treat it like the art he designed it to be.
Whether it’s a time-traveling cyborg in The Terminator, a doomed ocean liner in Titanic, or a completely immersive alien world in Avatar, Cameron always delivers something bold and original. He...

A sequel to beloved 90s rom-com My Best Friend’s Wedding is in the works, with Celine Song writing the script.
Another day, another sequel. Earlier this week, we learned that Gurinder Chadha was busy working on a sequel to her 2002 football flick Bend It Like Beckham. Dan Trachtenberg is also planning more Predator “stuff” with Arnold Schwarzenegger in mind and Happy Gilmore 2 has just appeared on our Netflix front pages.
The latest blast from the past getting a sequel is 1997’s My Best Friend’s Wedding. Starring Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney, the film followed two friends who had vowed to get married if they were still single at 28. The film is largely considered one of the best romantic comedies from the 1990s, particularly due to Roberts’ charming performance.

Glen Powell may be closing the door on ever joining the ranks of superpowered heroes in the Marvel or DC universes.
In a recent interview with Empire Magazine, the Top Gun: Maverick and Twisters star revealed he's not particularly drawn to roles that involve capes, cosmic powers, or mutant abilities.
“I just don’t identify with people with superpowers for the most part,” Powell explained, discussing what led him to take on the role of Richards in the upcoming remake of The Running Man. “I like the ordinary guy against extraordinary odds. The entire world is hunting this man, trying to kill him. Can he survive? Can he save his family? That’s a great, simple story.”
Powell's comments seem to dash fan hopes of seeing him play characters like Aquaman or Nova, popular choices in recent fancast discussions.

1987’s The Running Man is definitely a cult hit among Arnold Schwarzenegger’s movies, but it tends to get overlooked among some of the other classics he made. After all, it came out the same year as Predator, and let’s face facts—it’s no Predator. Perhaps that’s why Schwarzenegger himself once said it was the perfect movie of his to be remade. Everyone involved with the new version—especially Edgar Wright—would probably say it’s less a remake and more a fresh adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, which he wrote under the pseudonym Richard Bachman.
Based on the trailer alone, it does seem to be a somewhat more faithful adaptation, retaining an element that was ditched from the Schwarzenegger movie: Ben Richards is more impoverished, blacklisted from his profession, and trying to raise money to treat his ill daughter. The movie also keeps the fact...

Though Glen Powell has been linked to many superhero roles, he is set to portray a more normal protagonist in the anticipated remake of The Running Man. His character, Ben Richards, is more of an everyman whom the actor can relate to more easily.
Speaking to Empire about the modernized adaptation of the popular Stephen King novel, Powell explained why Richards appealed to him. "I just don’t identify with people with superpowers for the most part," he said. "I like the ordinary guy against extraordinary odds. The entire world is hunting this man, trying to kill him. Can he survive? Can he save his family? That's a great, simple story."
Powell also said he could see himself in The Running Man remake from the moment the movie was pitched to him, leading him to turn down other opportunities, including Jurassic World: Rebirth. "Sometimes you've got to close your eyes...

Arnold Schwarzenegger has made somewhat of a return to the Predator franchise and Dan Trachtenberg has more planned.
Predator is making a major return this year, and it’s mostly thanks to Dan Trachtenberg. After the director helmed 2022’s Prey, he has pretty much single-handedly been responsible for the killer’s comeback, with two films about the creature either out or on the way in 2025. And there’s now another franchise comeback in the cards.
As reported by Deadline, Trachtenberg took the stage at San Diego Comic-Con to chat all things Predator, especially the upcoming Predator: Badlands. The director said he recently had breakfast with Arnold Schwarzenegger, the star of the original Predator, and was planning to “cook up stuff” for the actor in the franchise.
In fact, he’s already started.
If you’ve already watched Predator: Killer Of Killers, Tractenberg’s animated film on Disney+, you might want...

Since Travis Scott’s very first appearance at the 2025 Elimination Chamber, fans have been under the impression that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was responsible for bringing him in. This resonated poorly among wrestling fanatics, sending word-shaped bullets his way. However, with the rapper’s fallout with the company, more drama keeps stirring the pot.
Recently, at The Stevie Richards Show, Stevie Richards took the internet by storm, where he ripped apart Ari Emanuel, the co-founder of Tko Group Holdings, accusing him of making a move that was nothing but a favor for one of his best friends.
Literally an indie promoter saying, ‘Put over one of my best friends on the show and make him a star because it’s I Emanuel.’ And I can’t believe—usually in wrestling, when somebody like I, Emanuel, is in power and everybody’s kind of puckered up trying to just plate him...

WWE legend Hulk Hogan and his eldest child, Brooke Hogan, once had an ideal daughter and father relationship, but it all faded away with time. Hulk Hogan and Brooke were not on speaking terms for years before the wrestling icon’s death. But recently, TMZ reported that the duo did speak, just days before Hogan got married to Sky Daily.
Hogan is reported to have apologised to her daughter for unknown reasons, but unfortunately, the rest of the conversation did not go as smoothly as they would have liked it to. According to an unnamed source, Brooke advised her father to take it slow inside the ring because of his declining health. She expressed genuine concern for her father over the telephone, but Hogan was still giving his daughter the cold shoulder; she was habituated to getting from her father in recent years.
