Is Chelsea Conning Claire on July 30 Young and the Restless?
Image
On the July 30 episode of The Young and the Restless, Chelsea offered comfort to Claire. On the surface, it seemed like a sweet, innocent scene. But Chelsea is a con artist. Surely, there has to be more on her agenda.

Does Chelsea Have Ulterior Motives?

When Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) first came to Genoa City, she knew what she wanted: Money, status, maybe a hot guy or two. But, most recently, we have no idea what she wants.

Cheslea is living with Adam (Mark Grossman), she’s working with Adam, and she’s raising Connor (Judah Mackey) with Adam. But what does she Want?

Is this the woman Anita (Catherine Bach) raised? The one who was brought up to always be playing an angle, always reaching for more? Chelsea may have convinced those around her that she’s satisfied, but we don’t believe it.

Rick Hurst Dies: ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ & ‘Steel Magnolias’ Actor Was 79
Image
Rick Hurst, the actor known for playing Deputy Cletus Hogg on The Dukes of Hazzard, has died. He was 79.

According to the actor’s wife Candace Kaniecki, he died unexpectedly on Thursday in Los Angeles, TMZ reported. His cause of death was not immediately disclosed.

Hurst’s co-star Ben Jones, who played Cooter Davenport on the 1979-’85 CBS sitcom, announced his death on Facebook after Hurst was scheduled to appear at Cooter’s Place in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee next month.

“It doesn’t seem right that Rick Hurst passed away this afternoon. When something so unexpected happens, it is ‘harder to process,’ as the current expression goes,” he said in a statement. “I have known Rick for over 45 years and there wasn’t a minute of that time that he didn’t leave me smiling or laughing. Sure he was a professional comedian, but mostly he just had a heart as big as Texas.

Rick Hurst, Actor on ‘The Dukes of Hazzard,’ Dies at 79
Image
Rick Hurst, who portrayed the good-hearted Deputy Cletus Hogg on the long-running CBS action comedy The Dukes of Hazzard, died Thursday. He was 79.

Hurst’s death was announced by the Cooter’s Place museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He had just canceled a scheduled July 3-7 appearance there.

“To fans, he was more than a character — he was family,” reads a Dukes of Hazzard post on Instagram. “His gentle smile, impeccable comedic timing and kind-hearted spirit made every scene brighter.

“Offscreen, Rick was known for his generosity, humility and love for connecting with fans at events across the country. Whether it was a reunion special or a meet-and-greet at Cooter’s, he never stopped sharing his joy with the people who adored him.”

Before his most famous role, Hurst played a prisoner named Cleaver alongside Tom Poston and Hal Williams on the 1975-76 ABC sitcom On the Rocks, which revolved...

Why Chelsea’s Moves on June 11 Y&r Could Change Everything for Billy — and Herself
Image
Chelsea confused much of Genoa City on the June 11 episode of The Young and the Restless. Nikki wondered why she is so eager to protect Billy. Adam wondered why she is so eager to protect Billy. And, soon, Victor will wonder why she is so eager to protect Billy. But we think we know.

Back To the Future

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) are back together. Again. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) compared them to herself and Victor (Eric Braeden).

Hey, hey, hey there. Chelsea and Adam are very toxic. But they’re not That toxic. Yet. Give them time. The comparison was apt enough to make Chelsea realize that she and Adam still have a bit of breaking up to do.

More: What happens next on Y&r.

Mother’s Milk

Chelsea was raised by her mother, Anita (Catherine Bach), to use and abuse men (that’s...

‘Dukes Of Hazzard’ Y&r’ Star Catherine Bach Unrecognizable At 70
Image
Actress Catherine Bach recently stepped out, making a rare public appearance in Los Angeles. The star is known to many fans through her work on series like The Dukes of Hazzard and The Young and the Restless. Interestingly, Bach previously shared with fans when they’d see her wear her famous outfit again.

Catherine Bach Went From Hazzard County To Genoa City

For many, Bach is best known for playing Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard. First playing the character in 1979, she would reprise the role in a variety of projects. Notably, she even voiced an animated version of the character in the cartoon, The Dukes.

Bach famously left her mark when it came to the character’s famous wardrobe. Initially, the character was intended to wear go-go boots and a poodle skirt, but she suggested her own outfit, which included cut-off denim shorts and high heels. This style...

The Family-Friendly Dukes of Hazzard Grew Out of a Far Grittier Action Movie
Image
As a kid, my favorite show was The Dukes of Hazzard. I still have clear memories of going out to eat with my family and then coming home to watch the Duke boys fly around in that cool-looking orange 1969 Dodge Charger. Debuting in 1979 and lasting for seven seasons, The Dukes of Hazzard was one of the biggest shows on TV, a series so much a part of pop culture that cut-off shorts are called Daisy Dukes because of Catherine Bach's character.

Was Chelsea’s Long Con Revealed On Young and the Restless September 12?
Image
We realize that Chelsea, for the past year on The Young and the Restless Chelsea, has been working on herself and trying to move past her deep depression that led to her suicide attempt. She’s been doing such a job of it that it’s almost possible to forget the real Chelsea: A lifelong con artist who lies, rapes, and even kills without so much as a twinge of conscience. But Chelsea can’t fool us! We know what she’s really up to — and who she’s got as her co-conspirator.

In the September 12 episode, Billy told her he couldn’t move past her cheating with Adam. However, he did sound commited to helping Connor.

From Generation to Generation

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) didn’t just wake up one morning and decide to become a con artist. She was raised to be one from birth, courtesy of her mother,...

Y&r Spoilers: Sally’s Chooses Love Over Trust? – Adam Lives The Lie
Eileen Davidson, Bryton James, Joshua Morrow, Gina Tognoni, Justin Hartley, Melissa Claire Egan, and Peter Bergman in The Young and the Restless (1973)
The Young and the Restless (Y&r) spoilers document that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) does not trust Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

But devoted viewers know that she loves him. Love is the most potent factor in the world. It drives people to make choices that seem or are illogical.

So, Sally’s decision to reconcile with Adam and her coming choice can be seen from many perspectives.

Meanwhile, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) loves Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and knows he deserves the truth. That is a mega problem for Adam.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Learns From The Past

Chelsea does not celebrate her grifter past. Her mother, Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach), taught Egan’s character how to deceive people to make a living.

Devoted viewers recall Chelsea was paid by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to con Billy, who the late, great Billy Miller then played. She...

The Only Major Actors Still Alive From The Dukes Of Hazzard
Image
"The Dukes of Hazzard" was one of the biggest shows in the '70s, but where are the actors now? Did they all live to see old age? Sadly many of the show's main stars have since passed on, but their memory lives on in the timeless television series. The series centered around Bo and Luke Duke, played by John Schneider and Tom Wopat. They delivered vigilante justice for their county, protecting it from the corrupt political power-player, Boss Hogg. They are saddled with trying to save the Duke family farm from Hogg's grasp, which forces them to devise get-rich-quick schemes and lands them in various hijinks.

Many of the supporting actors were already middle-aged when the series aired, so sadly, Denver Pyle who played Jesse Duke, James Best who played Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, Sorrell Booke who played Boss Hog, and Waylon Jennings who played The Balladeer have all since passed.

The Dukes of Hazzard Stars Reunite, Tease Potential Reboot
Image
The stars of The Dukes of Hazzard haven't shut the door on the television series getting rebooted.

Originally airing for seven seasons on CBS between 1979 and 1985, The Dukes of Hazzard followed the Duke family, which included cousins Bo (John Schneider), Luke (Tom Wopat), and Daisy (Catherine Bach). All three reunited with fellow cast members Byron Cherry (Coy Duke), Jeff Altman (Hughie Hogg), and Rick Hurst (Deputy Cletus Hogg) for a recent appearance at Gallatin Comic-Con in Tennessee. Per Fox, Bach addressed how much love the cast members still have for one another, adding that a potential reboot or even a reunion special is possible.

‘Dukes Of Hazzard’ Stars Reunite, Tease Potential Reboot Of Hit ’80s TV Series
Image
Never say never. Former Dukes of Hazzard stars John Schneider, Catherine Bach and Tom Wopat reunited with fellow castmates Byron Cherry, Jeff Altman and Rick Hurst at Gallatin Comic Con 2023 in Tennessee recently where talk of a possible reboot of the hit ’80s TV comedy series surfaced.

“As far as a Dukes reunion,” Bach teased in an interview with Fox News Digital, “anything is possible.”

Bach starred as Daisy Duke, Schneider as Bo Duke and Wopat as Luke Duke in the hit action-comedy-drama series that aired for seven seasons on CBS from 1979 to 1985. The series, inspired by the 1975 film Moonrunners about a bootlegger family, revolved around the adventures of cousins Bo and Luke, modern-day Robin Hoods who continually tried to outwit a corrupt sheriff and “greedy rich, city slickers.”

The series also was not without controversy due to images of the Confederate flag that had been used in the show.

The famous General Lee car from the 80s TV series The Dukes of Hazzard was left smashed in the wake of Hurricane Ida's destruction. ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ Stars Defend Show’s Confederate Flag Use: ‘The Car Is Innocent’
John Schneider at an event for Nip/Tuck (2003)
The original stars of CBS’s popular series “Dukes of Hazzard” are speaking their mind about the recently renewed criticism of the show’s use of the Confederate flag.

John Schneider and Tom Wopat, who played Bo and Luke Duke in the series which ran from 1979 to 1985, addressed the controversial symbol of the Confederacy that is painted atop the show’s famous car, a Dodge Charger nicknamed the General Lee.

“I have never had an African American come up to me and have any problem with it whatsoever,” Schneider, 60, said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “The whole politically correct generation has gotten way out of hand.”

Wopat, 69, was more understanding of the current generation’s call to remove the flag from pop culture.

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot
Michael Cimino could have done worse for his first directing gig — a big Clint Eastwood-Jeff Bridges buddy picture with guaranteed major attention. It’s a simple crime caper for simple audiences, and he pulls it off in style. The Sunday movie supplements celebrated Cimino as a great new talent. His picture still looks handsome and it runs like a Swiss watch — the writer-director even has his vulgar comedy down pat, giving bad guy George Kennedy a few memorable choice bits to play.

“Dukes of Hazzard” star Tom Wopat has been accused of sticking his finger between the butt cheeks of an actress working with him in a small-town production of “42nd Street,” according to a report.

The 65-year-old actor was rehearsing his show in Waltham, Mass., on July 23 when he walked behind the woman and committed the vile act, she told police, TMZ reported.

When confronted about the allegation, Wopat denied touching the woman and said, “F— them all,” the gossip site reported, citing a police report.

Wopat also was accused of wrapping his arm around another woman’s hip, pulling her toward him during rehearsals, the police report said.

And he also allegedly pulled sunburned skin off a woman’s arm during rehearsals, authorities said.

Jessica Simpson Demonstrates Why Her Name Is Still Synonymous with Daisy Dukes
Jessica Simpson
As anyone with even a mild knowledge of fashion history could likely tell you, we owe the entire Daisy Duke style and its widespread popularity to actress Catherine Bach who made that specific denim look synonymous with her character’s name on the hit TV show The Dukes of Hazzard. Since then, however, the short-shorts have come to be inextricably linked to another famous name, Jessica Simpson, who reprised Bach’s role in the 2005 film remake. And on Thursday, the former pop star demonstrated once again why she’s the perfect candidate to carry on this hot pants legacy.

Happy 80th Burt-day to Burt Reynolds! – Here Are His Ten Best Movies
Article by Jim Batts, Dana Jung, Travis Keune, and Tom Stockman

Burt Reynolds, one of We Are Movie Geeks favorite actors, turns 80 today. Happy Birthday Burt!

On February 11th, 1936, Reynolds was born in Waycross, Georgia, before his family moved to Jupiter Florida, where his father served as Chief of Police. Young Burt excelled at sports and played football at Florida State University. He became an All Star Southern Conference halfback (and was earmarked by the Baltimore Colts) before injuries sidelined his football career. He dropped out of college and headed to New York with dreams of becoming an actor. There he worked in restaurants and clubs while pulling the odd TV job or theater role. Burt was spotted in a New York City stage production of Mister Roberts and signed to a TV contract and eventually had recurring roles in such shows as Gunsmoke (1955), Riverboat (1959) and his own series, Hawk...

CHiPs Is Finally Set To Roar Into Cinemas For Warner Bros
The Hollywood reboot machine shows no sign of slowing down, as Warner Bros has tapped Dax Shepard (Parenthood) to write, direct and star in a big screen version of decades-old TV show, CHiPs. The series, which ran from 1977 – 1983, was essentially a police procedural, centred around two California Highway Patrol Officers, and really won its audiences over with the charming performances of its leading men – Larry Wilcox as Jon Baker, and Erik Estrada as Frank “Ponch” Poncherello. Those roles are now set to be filled by the equally charming Michael Pena (End Of Watch) as Ponch, and Shepard as Baker.

At the time of its original broadcast, the sight of Wilcox and Estrada in their clingier-than-clingy uniforms, astride powerful motorcycles, became as iconic as Catherine Bach’s ‘Daisy Dukes’ from The Dukes Of Hazzard – but unlike that show, CHiPs had hitherto failed to achieve a big screen reboot. While Starsky And Hutch...

Almost Royal: What you need to know about E4's cheeky new show
If you haven't had quite enough poshery after the return of Made in Chelsea on Sunday night, you might want to stay tuned to E4 for brand new import Almost Royal! The show - which aired on BBC America in the States - sees Ed Gamble and Amy Hoggart playing Georgie and Poppy Carlton, a brother and sister (very distantly) in line to the throne. They go on a tour around America in tribute to their dearly departed father... but all the Americans they meet are actually real people. Think Borat, with posh English folk.

We caught up with Ed and Amy to bring you a guide to the show - from Made in Chelsea to why Wills and Kate should be jealous to Poppy and Georgie's weird love for Rick Moranis...

1. The American people in the show are "completely clueless" that it's a set up.

"As far as they're...

‘Thunderbolt and Lightfoot’ Blu-ray Review
Stars: Clint Eastwood, Jeff Bridges, George Kennedy, Geoffrey Lewis, Gary Busey, Catherine Bach | Written and Directed by Michael Cimino

If there is one thing that America does well it’s the road movie, really it should be no surprise as they do have quite a few of them. From Vanishing Point to Easy Rider these movies tend to be iconic to their fans and share moments in movie history that are hard to forget. For me though one of the best has to be Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, a film where Clint Eastwood does what he does best and Jeff Bridges put on an Academy Award nominated performance as a young upstart who just wanted to be an old crooks friend.

Even though Eastwood is obviously the star of the movie it really comes alive with the first appearance of Lightfoot (Bridges) onto the screen, stealing a car in an easy grift.

9 movies that prove why nostalgia isn't always a good thing
Remember that thing you loved from your childhood? It's coming back. We're not talking specifics here, we're talking everything.

New movies or TV shows revolving around everything from Scooby Doo to Ninja Turtles, Danger Mouse and Bananaman are on the horizon - you could accuse producers of running out of new ideas, but how long before they run out of old ideas?

Nostalgia can give you a warm and fuzzy feeling, but sometimes it isn't always a good thing. Digital Spy suggests 9 instances when looking back to the past resulted in a questionable present:

The Saint (1997)

A movie adaptation of popular TV series The Saint had been mooted for some time. It finally limped into cinemas in 1997 with Val Kilmer as Simon Templar - he was no Roger Moore, but let's face it, who is?

The film, which is a relatively low-key (if somewhat eccentric) spy caper, suffered because it...

Matthew Broderick and Rupert Everett in Inspector Gadget (1999)
10 Most Unwatchable TV to Movie Adaptations
Matthew Broderick and Rupert Everett in Inspector Gadget (1999)
22 Jump Street is in theaters this weekend, and its one of the few TV-to-Movie franchises that has gotten it right. This comes after so many have gotten it really wrong! Adapting a hit television show to the big screen seems like it would be an easy thing. The source material is great, there's an existing audience, it should be money in the bank. But bigger does not mean better. There's more than enough examples of great TV turned into garbage cinema. So much so, there was a fair amount of difficulty and debate narrowing it down to ten, epically awful movies. Criteria had to be established. There must be a method to this madness. Terrible films like The Smurfs, Scooby Doo, Yogi Bear, or The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas still has an appeal to younger audiences who might actually be entertained by it. It does have some value. Once...

'Dukes of Hazzard' celebrates 35 years with the best 1980s TV theme songs
"The Dukes of Hazzard" premiered 35 years ago, Jan. 26, 1979 on CBS and for the next seven seasons, John Schneider and Tom Wopat were drivin' and slidin' into our hearts -- plus, Catherine Bach, rowr. To celebrate its illustrious anniversary, here are our 1980s TV theme songs (non-animated, because that's a whole other category).

1. "The Dukes of Hazzard" -- It counts because it aired mostly in the '80s. And who doesn't love the golden pipes of Waylon Jennings?

2. "Growing Pains" -- What a great duet. Do you recognize the woman? It's Jennifer Warnes, of "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" fame.

3. "Perfect Strangers" -- This soaring number makes you feel like you can conquer the world right? Or at least leave your home in Mypos for the big city in America.

4. "Cheers" -- This is like comfort food in song form. They just don't make TV theme songs like they used to.

Long Live the King: TV Shows with Royal Titles
The King of police procedural dramas has returned. Jessica "Jess" King (Amy Price-Francis) proved in Season One of King that she has what it takes to lead Toronto's Major Crimes Task Force, taking down murderers, rapists, and drug traffickers. Things will get a bit more challenging for her in Season Two, however, with new team members to break in, crimes that hit a bit too close to home, and plenty of baby-daddy drama. Jess' regal last name is a moniker befitting her attitude and attributes, but she wasn't the first — and she won't be the last — "monarch" on TV. Check out our list of TV shows with royal titles.

One cop. One kingdom.

5 Movie Characters You Wish Your Girlfriend Dressed Like
We have all been there – innocently watching a film with your other half before being struck by the skimpy outfit that a female character is wearing, and absent-mindedly fantasising about them being sat next to you on the sofa, stealing your popcorn. If that sounds like you, you’re probably not alone – the sheer amount of fan fiction out there dedicated to the sexiest movie characters proves as well, and if there’s one thing cosplay has taught us, it’s that anyone can be made to look a lot hotter with a carefully planned costume and wig.

So, with that in mind, here are five female movie characters that may have caught your attention and have you wishing your partner dressed like them…

5. Daisy Duke (The Dukes of Hazzard)

For the traditionalist, Catherine Bach. For the modern man Jessica Simpson. The Dukes of Hazzard character had men all over...

Peter Facinelli Likes to Play Games Before Flying
Jennie Garth
If Alec Baldwin is looking for a worthy Words With Friends opponent, Peter Facinelli might just be up for the challenge. The Scrabble-like game is his go-to when he's waiting for a flight. (As opposed to on the flight, a move that got Baldwin kicked off an American Airlines plane last December.) "I really get into the zone," Facinelli, 38, tells The New York Times in a Frequent Flier column. "I was so into the zone once that I didn't realize it was time to board a flight." Bach Created Daisy Duke Image To Avoid Looking Like Dolly
Dolly Parton
Actress Catherine Bach created her own iconic Daisy Duke look for hit TV show The Dukes Of Hazzard because she didn't want to be seen as a Dolly Parton knock-off.

The sexy star has revealed she was far from happy with series creator Gy Waldron's vision for her character and begged him to let her style Daisy.

She tells Access Hollywood, "They gave me a poodle skirt with a little turtleneck (top) because the creator of the show... was in love with Dolly Parton and that was on her album cover.

"I'm like, 'Ok, I'm not gonna channel Dolly Parton.' I said, 'Please, can I have a chance to show you what I think she should look like.' And he said, 'Ok'. I came in the next day with different clothes and he said, 'Ok, we got a deal'."...

Bach Thanks Grief Counsellors For Helping Her Get Past Husband's Suicide
Catherine Bach, Ben Jones, Denver Pyle, John Schneider, and Tom Wopat in The Dukes of Hazzard (1979)
The Dukes Of Hazzard star Catherine Bach has credited grief therapy sessions for helping her get over the 2010 death of her lawyer husband Peter Lopez.

The actress, who created the iconic TV role of Daisy Duke for the longrunning 1980s TV hit, was left devastated when Lopez shot himself in the head in the backyard of the home he shared with his wife and two daughters.

And, as she returns to work on U.S. daytime soap The Young and the Restless, she admits counselling helped her get back to normal after the awful tragedy.

Speaking to next door neighbour and friend Billy Bush on U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live, Bach explains, "I pushed through it with the help of really good friends and church and therapy... I'm gonna use this moment to tell people out there who are having tough times to look in your area for grief therapy because you can find your way through the most terrible thing."

And Bach admits she still isn't 100 per cent convinced her husband simply took his own life: "There was nobody more stable than Peter. Something happened to this man... I'm sure it will come to light... I trusted him and I trusted his judgment."...

Jennifer Aniston: Hottest woman of all time?
Raquel Welch
That’s what the readers of MensHealth.com say. Better luck next year, Angelina. Maybe after you lose the baby bump, Beyoncé. Crediting her sense of humor as well as her down-to-earth, “unmistakably real” girl-next-door persona, the readers ranked her above Raquel Welch, Britney Spears, Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie (put that in your pipe and smoke it, Brad!), and original Daisy Duke Catherine Bach, among others. Intriguingly, Aniston was only named #25 in the 2011 rankings. Guess getting a boyfriend and starring as a sex addict weren’t sexy enough to beat out Jennifer “Baywatch” Lawrence.

Aniston herself favors Brigitte Bardot and...

Everything old is new again: TV adaptations on the Big Screen
The new remake of The A-Team will put a modern spin on a popular television series of the eighties, bringing nostalgic feelings to old fans of the show while introducing a new generation to one of their fathers' favorites. The A-Team is just the latest in a very long line of classic TV shows that have received a big screen makeover.

The appeal of these small-screen-to-big-screen revamps is twofold. One purpose is to recapture older audiences who grew up on classic TV and who may not go to the movies very often anymore, but the lure of seeing one of the shows they grew up with on a the silver screen might entice them to visit their local theater. The second advantage is that Hollywood executives always feel safer using proven ideas rather than gambling on new ones, hence the reason so many sequels are made.

For the sake of brevity,...
