Get ready for a slo-mo run down the beach: Baywatch is back. Fox is officially rebooting the lifeguard drama, with the production company Fremantle tasked with bringing it back to life. Laura Olsen of Spinning Out will serve as showrunner for the new Baywatch, per Variety. The new logline calls it an “action-packed reboot” about found family. It reads: “Daring ocean rescues, pristine beaches, and iconic red bathing suits are back, along with a whole new generation of Baywatch lifeguards, who navigate complicated, messy personal lives in this action-packed reboot that demonstrates there’s the family you’re born into and the family you find.” The original Baywatch was created by Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz and Gregory J. Bonann, who will serve as executive producers on this new series along with Olsen. The series is billed as an hour-long drama. See the new key art below. While he is known for playing charming nerd Wyatt Donnelly in the 1985 film Weird Science, Ilan Mitchell-Smith's career has taken a compelling turn. He began acting when he was a child, appearing as younger siblings or pre-teens who wish that they were cooler. After playing a young version of Timothy Hutton's character, Daniel Isaacson, in a flashback in the spy drama Daniel, he appeared in the 1984 TV movie How to Be a Perfect Person in Just Three Days as dorky Milo Crimpley, who takes a course on achieving flawlessness. Mitchell-Smith then played Eric Stoltz's Vietnam War-obsessed brother in The Wild Life, a teen comedy written by Cameron Crowe.

Wyatt is one of the most lovable characters in John Hughes's movies, and the story of him and his best friend Gary Wallace (Anthony Michael Hall) making a computer-generated woman named Lisa (Kelly LeBrock) is a classic coming-of-age tale.

Although Supergirl, Catwoman and Elektra are movies that exist, there are times when we wish they didn’t. Stephen J. Cannell's Silk Stalkings ran for eight seasons, first on CBS and USA and then just on USA. The series went through some cast changes over the years but essentially revolves around a pair of detectives who solve sexually-based crimes of passion in Palm Beach, Florida.

For the first handful of seasons, Silk Stalkings stars Rob Estes and Mitzi Kapture, with Ben Vereen playing their boss. Other actors featured throughout the run of the show include William Anton, Nick Kokotakis, Tyler Layton, Chris Potter, Janet Gunn, Jamie Rose, and Sandra Ferguson.
