While it was recently reported that Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest would be returning as the eccentric Aunt Frances and Aunt Jet in the upcoming Practical Magic sequel, one star will not be reprising her role from the 1998 movie. Evan Rachel Wood took to social media over the weekend to confirm that she would not be back as Sandra Bullock's onscreen daughter Kylie.

Marilyn Manson‘s October 29th show in Brighton, England, which was set to kick off his fall UK tour, has been canceled after pleas from a local politician and other protestors.

According to The Guardian, Parliament member Sian Berry penned a letter that was co-signed by various victim support groups and the University of Sussex student union. In the letter, Berry wrote, “Many survivors in Brighton and Hove, and organisations supporting them, will have serious concerns about this booking and its wider impact on other people visiting the city centre, local residents and the wider community.”

She continued, “The council has a responsibility to take action where there are risks of discrimination, harassment and victimisation.”

Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, will not face criminal charges after a four-year investigation into allegations of rape and domestic violence, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman announced.

The District Attorney’s office cited the expiration of the statute of limitations for domestic violence allegations and insufficient evidence to prove sexual assault charges beyond a reasonable doubt. The investigation was led by the Da’s Sex Crimes Division and the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

David Lynch, a filmmaker who changed the actual landscape of cinema and left a legacy of masterpieces, has passed away at the age of 78. The news comes just days after the co-creator of Twin Peaks and all-around genius was evacuated from his home during the apocalyptic wildfires of Los Angeles. Born on January 20, 1946, in Missoula, Mt, the famed auteur began smoking at the eight of eight and did so for nearly 70 years. Evan Rachel Wood has used a Channel 4 documentary series to reveal details about her experience of feeling “violated” and “essentially raped” by Marilyn Manson during the shooting of one of his music videos.

Channel 4’s Marilyn Manson: Unmasked ep 1 aired to 350,000 viewers last night and featured claims from both Wood, who has previously accused Manson of abuse, and the response from the singer’s team.

“I felt so fucking violated. But I didn’t call it rape for like many many years,” the Westworld star says in ep 2, which is available on Channel 4’s streaming service, and is produced by Lightbox and sold by Fifth Season.

This week, a lengthy exposé was published in Vulture and New York Magazine detailing numerous allegations of sexual abuse against fantasy author Neil Gaiman. These allegations first came to light in July 2024 following a series of podcasts released by news start-up Tortoise Media. Titled "Master: the allegations against Neil Gaiman," they featured interviews with five women who claim that Gaiman subjected them to various instances of sexual harassment and abuse.

But this week's piece in Vulture revealed far more details. Vulture spoke with four of the women featured in the Tortoise podcasts as well as four others who had similar experiences, and the resulting report was graphic, disturbing, and horrifying. All it takes is one Google search to see how much the story has been picked up by other large outlets since then, including People, USA Today, BBC, and Rolling Stone.

Now, Gaiman has taken to his blog to respond to the allegations.

The embattled Marilyn Manson celebrated his 56th birthday on January 5th with a party attended by The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan and James Iha, Filter’s Richard Patrick, Falling in Reverse’s Ronnie Radke, and Mötley Crüe’s John 5, among others.

In March 2022, Warner filed a lawsuit against his ex-fiancée Wood in which he accused her of defamation and emotional distress. On Nov. 19, Warner agreed to pay Wood approximately $327,000 to cover the attorney fees of the case.

Warner’s lawsuit was filed just a few weeks before Phoenix Rising was released, the HBO miniseries in which Wood detailed the rape and sexual abuse she was subjected to throughout her relationship with Warner. Lasting from 2006 to 2011, Warner and Wood’s relationship began when she was 18 and he was 37.

The 55-year-old musician sued the 37-year-old actress in March 2022 for defamation, saying she “publicly cast” him as a “rapist and abuser — a malicious falsehood that has derailed Warner’s successful music, TV and film career.”

As part of the settlement, Manson will pay roughly $327,000 in legal fees to the Westworld star, according to court documents filed earlier this month.

At the center of the dispute were allegations that Wood and her friend Illma Gore lied to prospective accusers to encourage them to come forward with sexual assault allegations against the musician, namely by saying that he filmed the assault of a minor in a 1996 short film he made called Groupie.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, sued the pair in 2021 ahead of the premiere of HBO documentary Phoenix Rising, which explores sexual assault allegations against the musician and Wood’s efforts to pass legislation that extends the statute of limitations for domestic violence cases in California.
