As Y2K nostalgia continues to dominate elements of Hollywood, one pop culture sensation of the era could make a comeback.
Following “a few false starts” over the years, Celebrity Deathmatch creator Eric Fogel recently discussed the possibility of rebooting his claymation series that originally ran on MTV from 1998 to 2002.
“That’s the beauty of the show — it’s timeless. These matches are iconic,” he told People. “You could literally open Google and type a few words, and you’ll get a whole bunch of new Celebrity Deathmatch ideas. It’s an evergreen concept.
“I was just browsing this morning. Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel hate each other. You know, Will Smith and Chris Rock probably still hate each other? Taylor Swift and Kanye West is still a match I’d like to visit in the ring. It feels like there are still some unresolved issues there.”

Even if you didn’t already love Jeff Buckley, the new trailer for the documentary It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley might have you falling head over heels.
It’s Never Over comes to us from Amy Berg, the Oscar-nominated director of Deliver Us from Evil as well as Phoenix Rising about Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson. Buckley’s Grace song “Last Goodbye” soundtracks the trailer, which promises new interviews with his mother Mary Guibert, Buckley’s partners, and bandmates, plus Aimee Mann and Ben Harper, as well as never-before-seen footage from his archives. More than anything, it leans into his charm.
“My main influences? Love, anger, depression, and Zeppelin,” Buckley cracks at one point, flashing the kind of smile that had movie producers trying to cast Brad Pitt for a biopic (Guibert turned them down). There are also grim forebodings of his death, though the tone here leans...

While it was recently reported that Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest would be returning as the eccentric Aunt Frances and Aunt Jet in the upcoming Practical Magic sequel, one star will not be reprising her role from the 1998 movie. Evan Rachel Wood took to social media over the weekend to confirm that she would not be back as Sandra Bullock's onscreen daughter Kylie.
Per Deadline, Wood posted on her Instagram stories over the weekend that she hadn't been asked back for the sequel, revealing that she'd even suggested only appearing in one scene. “I was told they are re-casting. I am sorry to disappoint the fans. It was not in my control or my choice. I would have happily rejoined my sisters.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs scored a major legal victory this week as he managed to avoid the most serious of the sex trafficking and racketeering allegations in his criminal trial, leaving those in the music business questioning how an industry with a notoriously murky past in handling abusive behavior is going to move forward.
“I’m tired of living in a world where money, power, misogyny and patriarchy continues to win,” Tiffany Red, a prominent music industry advocate and a close friend of Cassie Ventura’s wrote on Instagram after the verdict went out Wednesday.
The chances of Combs’ image itself being significantly rehabilitated seems slim, given that violent, abusive behavior was caught on camera and aired to millions of people around the world. And Combs still faces a litany of civil suits that will continue to follow him for the foreseeable future. Whatever career he has to return to comes with a significant asterisk.

Marilyn Manson‘s October 29th show in Brighton, England, which was set to kick off his fall UK tour, has been canceled after pleas from a local politician and other protestors.
According to The Guardian, Parliament member Sian Berry penned a letter that was co-signed by various victim support groups and the University of Sussex student union. In the letter, Berry wrote, “Many survivors in Brighton and Hove, and organisations supporting them, will have serious concerns about this booking and its wider impact on other people visiting the city centre, local residents and the wider community.”
She continued, “The council has a responsibility to take action where there are risks of discrimination, harassment and victimisation.”
The Brighton gig isn’t Manson’s only UK concert to come under fire. As the BBC reports, a campaign has been launched to cancel his October 31st show at the Bournemouth International Centre, as well.

There is a very basic (and very dumb) question right at the heart of MTV's 1998 animated series "Celebrity Deathmatch": Who would win in a fight? It was a series based very directly on conversations held while extremely high while talking about one's favorite/least favorite celebrities, and who would best whom in hand-to-hand combat. "Celebrity Deathmatch" visualized such fights in a well-organized, animated pro-wrestling ring, where the celebrities in question could outwardly murder each other. For anyone who has ever taken a big bong rip and asked, "You think Marilyn Manson could take Charles Manson in a fight?", "Celebrity Deathmatch" was the series for you.
The series was created by Eric Fogel, who had created the MTV animated series "The Head" (the one that aired with "The Maxx"), and the pairings he and his writers invented were often ingenious. The fight between Penn & Teller and Siegfried & Roy is a fun one.

Keanu Reeves is one of Hollywood’s most humble and honorable actors. He isn’t just any favorite action star; he’s the internet’s ultimate soft-spoken legend. From dodging bullets in The Matrix to taking down armies in John Wick, he’s the guy who can save the world and still give up his subway seat. But beyond the world of stardom, fan edits, memes, and breathtaking quotes lies a tragic story.
Reeves’ life journey through love and unimaginable loss isn’t just heartbreaking, it’s honestly haunting. His real-life romance with Jennifer Syme was pure magic until it shattered with the stillbirth of their daughter, followed by Jennifer’s tragic death just a year later.
And through it all, he never turned bitter, only quieter, kinder, and more grounded. It’s the kind of pain most people never recover from, yet Reeves carries it with humility and grace.

Just like Friday the 13th,A Nightmare on Elm Streetis a horror franchise that has been lost in development hell for quite some time. There have been efforts to reboot the adventures of Freddy Krueger, but New Line Cinema, the production studio in charge of the IP, hasn't moved forward with a new revival, mainly due to complex rights issues. However, according to a New Line boss, there's still hope to reboot the franchise.
Just don't expect this to happen any time soon. New Line Cinema President Richard Brener hopes that we will see Freddy back on screens, but also admitted how complicated it is. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the New Line boss answered a few questions during CinemaCon about the horror IPs currently hosted by the studio. When asked about A Nightmare on Elm Street, he sounded optimistic, but he didn't have any good news about the project.
We hope so.

Corey Feldman, poster child for 1980s teen stardom, has had more than his share of celebrity feuds. Over the decades, he’s publicly griped about Diddy, Michael Jackson, Howard Stern, Charlie Sheen, Barbara Walters, Marilyn Manson, Aaron Carter and even his Bff Corey Haim. Now we can add another name to the Feldman Enemies List: Johnny Depp.
Leonardo DiCaprio received his first Oscar nomination for playing disabled boy Arnie in Who’s Eating Gilbert Grape? in 1993, but Feldman had a role in that movie too, the former teen idol told Billy Corgan on his Magnificent Others podcast. In fact, he claims, he landed the part before either DiCaprio or Depp were hired for the film. “I was actually cast to play Leonardo DiCaprio’s role,” Feldman explained. “I never saw the film because I’m still bitter. Bitter leaf in that one. But yes, I was originally cast for that role.

One of Frank Grillo’s more recent projects that perhaps didn’t get the theatrical release it deserved has found success on a new streamer. Grillo stars opposite Andy Garcia and Josh Hutcherson in Long Gone Heroes, the crime thriller following a special forces soldier who has given up everything but now must return to the field to track down his niece. The film recently began streaming on Paramount+ and has wasted no time becoming a major streaming hit, sitting at #2 at the time of writing, behind only Gladiator 2. Long Gone Heroes did not report any box office earnings, nor has it earned enough scores on Rotten Tomatoes to be rendered a review, but it's still wowing audiences on Paramount+ as one of the streamer’s most popular movies.

Does Johnny Depp own Marilyn Manson’s iconic fake br*asts?(Photo Credit –Instagram)
Johnny Depp is known for collecting some pretty unusual things. But among all his pirate hats and skull rings, one item stands out — Marilyn Manson’s famous prosthetic br*asts. Yes, those fake br*asts from Manson’s controversial Mechanical Animals album cover.
The story behind how Depp got them is just as bizarre as it sounds. Back in 1998, Marilyn Manson released Mechanical Animals. It is an album that marked a massive shift in his image. For the cover, Manson posed as an androgynous alien figure. It was pale skin, a long wig, and a pair of striking fake br*asts.
But not everyone valued it. Big retailers like Target denied to carry the album because of the nudity on its cover. In the pre-streaming era, that decision hit hard. With fewer places to sell, Mechanical...

While Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s ongoing legal battle has largely been contained to legal documents and internet chatter, the public feud spilled into the streets of Austin, Texas on Friday evening. One fervent Justin Baldoni supporter demonstrated outside the Paramount Theater ahead of the premiere of Lively’s new film “Another Simple Favor,” which marks the opening night screening for the town’s annual SXSW festival gathering.

Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, will not face criminal charges after a four-year investigation into allegations of rape and domestic violence, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman announced.
The District Attorney’s office cited the expiration of the statute of limitations for domestic violence allegations and insufficient evidence to prove sexual assault charges beyond a reasonable doubt. The investigation was led by the Da’s Sex Crimes Division and the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.
“We recognize and applaud the courage and resilience of the women who came forward to make reports and share their experiences,” the Da’s office said in a statement.

Evan Rachel Wood has responded to news that Marilyn Manson won't face domestic abuse and sexual assault charges following a four-year investigation. Manson (real name Brian Warner) and Wood were romantically involved from 2007 to 2010, becoming engaged before breaking up. In 2021, Wood publicly accused Manson of sexual assault, psychological abuse, and physical abuse, with more than another dozen women following suit. For the last four years, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has been investigating allegations against the musician (details surrounding the investigation - and precisely what allegations it focused on - have not been made public).
On Friday, January 24, District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman commended "the courage and resilience of the women who came forward," but his office would not move forward with charges as "allegations of domestic violence fall outside of the statute of limitations, and we cannot prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt." Evan Rachel Wood has released a statement following the decision by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office to not level sexual abuse charges on Marilyn Manson, citing statute of limitations.
The three-time Emmy nominee said she is “grateful” for authorities’ four-year investigation into the matter and “endlessly proud” of the more than dozen survivors who have spoken up, adding that the case’s resolution is “evidence” that “violent crimes should not have an expiration date.”
“My lawyer and I were advised by the Deputy District Attorneys and the Sheriff deputies who investigated the case that there was compelling evidence to support our claims, but that the statute of limitations prevents many of those crimes from being prosecuted,” Wood wrote on her private Instagram, per People. “We always knew that the statute of limitations would be a barrier, which is why we created the Phoenix Act so that other victims...

Over the past four years, singer Marilyn Manson was the subject of an investigation concerning allegations of sexual assault and domestic violence. However, the case has recently been given a new update. Manson’s own attorney has also released a statement over the news.
A Los Angeles District Attorney Gave An Update Concerning The Claims Against Marilyn Manson
Marilyn Manson, born Brian Hugh Warner, came to fame as the lead singer of his namesake band, Marilyn Manson. Reportedly, members of the band crafted their stage names from female sex symbols and male serial killers. Warner’s own alter-ego was inspired by actress Marilyn Monroe and criminal cult leader Charles Manson.
Throughout his career, Manson has served as a prominent, if controversial, figure in the heavy metal music scene. Over the years, Manson has been accused of charges including sexual assault and sexual misconduct by multiple women.

Over a dozen more women came forward with allegations against Warner, and a criminal investigation was launched. (Warner has repeatedly denied all the allegations against him.)

Following the death of visionary auteur David Lynch, several of his films (and films about him) are now streaming completely for free and without ads, thanks to both Kanopy and The Criterion Channel. Eraserhead and Lost Highway are streaming for free on Kanopy along with the fascinating Alexandre O. Philippe documentary Lynch/Oz, which explores the director's longtime fascination with The Wizard of Oz and that film's influence on him. Meanwhile, The Criterion Channel is streaming perhaps the most intimate documentary made about the filmmaker, David Lynch: The Art Life, for free.
Separated by two decades, 1977's Eraserhead and 1997's The Lost Highway are two of Lynch's more oblique films, with the former gaining cult status and the latter, originally a failure on several fronts, becoming more appreciated over the years. Eraserhead was Lynch's first feature film after a decade of boundary-pushing shorts, and the film carries those experiments into...

David Lynch, a filmmaker who changed the actual landscape of cinema and left a legacy of masterpieces, has passed away at the age of 78. The news comes just days after the co-creator of Twin Peaks and all-around genius was evacuated from his home during the apocalyptic wildfires of Los Angeles. Born on January 20, 1946, in Missoula, Mt, the famed auteur began smoking at the eight of eight and did so for nearly 70 years. He developed serious emphysema in 2020, telling Eileen Finan of People in 2024, “In the back of every smoker’s mind is the fact that it’s unhealthy, so you’re literally playing with fire."

Evan Rachel Wood has used a Channel 4 documentary series to reveal details about her experience of feeling “violated” and “essentially raped” by Marilyn Manson during the shooting of one of his music videos.
Channel 4’s Marilyn Manson: Unmasked ep 1 aired to 350,000 viewers last night and featured claims from both Wood, who has previously accused Manson of abuse, and the response from the singer’s team.
“I felt so fucking violated. But I didn’t call it rape for like many many years,” the Westworld star says in ep 2, which is available on Channel 4’s streaming service, and is produced by Lightbox and sold by Fifth Season.
Wood spoke in depth about her experience working on the 2007 music video for Manson’s hit ‘Heart-Shaped Glasses’.

This week, a lengthy exposé was published in Vulture and New York Magazine detailing numerous allegations of sexual abuse against fantasy author Neil Gaiman. These allegations first came to light in July 2024 following a series of podcasts released by news start-up Tortoise Media. Titled "Master: the allegations against Neil Gaiman," they featured interviews with five women who claim that Gaiman subjected them to various instances of sexual harassment and abuse.
But this week's piece in Vulture revealed far more details. Vulture spoke with four of the women featured in the Tortoise podcasts as well as four others who had similar experiences, and the resulting report was graphic, disturbing, and horrifying. All it takes is one Google search to see how much the story has been picked up by other large outlets since then, including People, USA Today, BBC, and Rolling Stone.
Now, Gaiman has taken to his blog to respond to the allegations.

The embattled Marilyn Manson celebrated his 56th birthday on January 5th with a party attended by The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan and James Iha, Filter’s Richard Patrick, Falling in Reverse’s Ronnie Radke, and Mötley Crüe’s John 5, among others.
Photos and videos from the evening posted by Manson associate Vanessa Alexandra on Instagram, as well as the Ig account marilynmanson.gallery, show the shock rocker’s fellow rock stars in attendance. In one of the videos, a large group of partygoers sing “Happy Birthday” to Manson, who tells the crowd that he’s also celebrating four years of sobriety.
Interestingly, Corgan and Manson were in a long-running feud after Manson told the Smashing Pumpkins frontman that he looked like Charlie Brown. However, they settled their differences in 2014 when they performed together onstage.

No one stays canceled forever, it seems. After being accused by seven different women of sexual misconduct and assault, Brett Ratner's Hollywood career was effectively over. Warner Bros.'s studio dropped him and all future projects in 2017, and he hasn't worked since. That is, until January 5, 2025, when news came of Ratner's big comeback: directing a documentary on former and future First Lady Melania Trump for Amazon Prime Video.
Filming has already begun, Variety reports. An Amazon spokesperson said the film is "an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look" at Trump, with the First Lady set to executive produce the project alongside New Element Media’s Fernando Sulichin. The spokesperson continued: "Prime Video will be sharing more details on the project as filming progresses and release plans are finalized. A judge ruled Monday that Marilyn Manson can’t use the specter of his “indefinite” criminal investigation to avoid sitting for a deposition in the sexual assault and battery lawsuit brought by his former personal assistant, Ashley Walters.
Los Angeles County Judge Steve Cochran said Manson, born Brian Warner, can still show up, assert his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refuse to answer questions, but he’s not entitled to a special order blocking the sit-down pending a charging decision from newly elected Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman.

Why Did Tom Cruise Insist On Bringing Back Val Kilmer For Top Gun: Maverick (Photo Credit – Instagram)
When Top Gun: Maverick was set to take off, Tom Cruise made one thing crystal clear: no Val Kilmer, no movie. Per producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Cruise was adamant about bringing back his Top Gun co-star. “He said, ‘We have to have Val. We have to have him back. We have to have him in the film,’” Bruckheimer shared. The mission was simple—Cruise wouldn’t revisit Maverick without his iconic rival-turned-wingman, Iceman.
Cruise wasn’t just chasing nostalgia—he was honoring a bond that defined Top Gun. Val Kilmer’s cool, calculated Iceman was pivotal to the original’s charm, and Cruise was adamant about his return. What Food Prank Did Ryan Reynolds Pull On Hugh Jackman? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s legendary prank war hit a new gross high—or, technically, a low. In an interview, Reynolds revealed the hilariously disgusting prank he almost pulled on Jackman. The actor, known for his quick wit and love of a good laugh, shared his plan to send Jackman a sushi platter. The catch? It wouldn’t be sushi at all. “The whole thing was just made out of old Band-aids,” Reynolds confessed, doubling down on their signature rivalry.
This wasn’t Reynolds’ first retaliation. The prank idea came in response to Jackman’s equally revolting gag proposal last year. Jackman had teased the idea of a “ding-dong ditch” birthday surprise featuring none other than “dog poo.” Reynolds, ever the quipster, couldn’t resist calling Jackman out on his polite phrasing. “First of all, only...

The captain of the 12th Division and the President of the Shinigami Research Institute, Mayuri’s character has always brought a sense of curiosity and fear within the minds of fans, and the main reason behind it is his appearance.

Marilyn Manson is dropping a lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood accusing her of manufacturing a conspiracy to portray him as a serial abuser who has sexually assaulted several women.
As part of the settlement, Manson will pay roughly $327,000 in legal fees to the Westworld star, according to court documents filed earlier this month.
At the center of the dispute were allegations that Wood and her friend Illma Gore lied to prospective accusers to encourage them to come forward with sexual assault allegations against the musician, namely by saying that he filmed the assault of a minor in a 1996 short film he made called Groupie.
Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, sued the pair in 2021 ahead of the premiere of HBO documentary Phoenix Rising, which explores sexual assault allegations against the musician and Wood’s efforts to pass legislation that extends the statute of limitations for domestic violence cases in California.
