Two months after the death of Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys legend was laid to rest at Los Angeles’ Westwood Memorial Park.

His daughter Carnie Wilson, singer of the Nineties trio Wilson Phillips, wrote a heartfelt post on Instagram about her father’s burial. “Today we laid my Daddy to rest,” she said. “It was incredibly difficult to see that happen, but at the same time it gave more closure and more of a feeling of restful peace. The last eight weeks have been extremely challenging and like nothing I’ve ever experienced.

When Only Murders in the Building premiered in 2021, it became an instant fan favorite. An all-new live-action take on a much-loved ‘90s eco-superhero franchise is underway- thanks to Leonardo DiCaprio. While he won’t be returning to the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood spinoff, DiCaprio has firmly positioned himself in the producer’s chair for Netflix’s Captain Planet.

The series is a revival of the original cartoon released in 1990, which featured the voice of Star Trek Tng actor LeVar Burton. Whoopi Goldberg also lent her voice to the animated series. The legacy these stars have left behind might be tough to build on, but we’re excited to see what DiCaprio has in store for Planeteer fans.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s environmental storytelling efforts go way back. Through his production company Appian Way, DiCaprio has been in talks to pick up a Captain Planet adaptation since 2016, when a feature film, co-written by Glen Powell, was stalled.

In 2019, a single decision left a deep cut in pop culture history – The Simpsons pulled its iconic Season 3 premiere, Stark Raving Dad, featuring none other than Michael Jackson. Six years later, the sting still lingers. What was once a fan-fave, emotional, and musically memorable episode became collateral damage in the wake of HBO’s Leaving Neverland documentary, which spotlighted abuse allegations against the late pop icon.

The 43-year-old actress and director tied the knot with longtime partner Max Wright over the weekend in the Sicilian town of Noto in Italy.

HBO has released the trailer for its sprawling two-part Billy Joel documentary, And So It Goes, which airs across two weeks this month and clocks in at a total of five hours.

In the preview, the iconic musician opens up about his journey from growing up in Hicksville, New York, to hearing classical music and writing “Uptown Girl” as well as the “hard lessons” he learned along the way.

The trailer opens with Joel, over clips of him performing, including to a packed audience, speaking about his disconnect with fame.

Toni Cornell, daughter of the late Soundgarden and Audioslave singer Chris Cornell, has paid tribute to the late Brian Wilson with a moving cover of The Beach Boys’ classic “God Only Knows.”

A couple of years ago, word leaked out that Maggie Gyllenhaal was set to write and direct a film called The Bride!, a new take on the concept of the 1935 classic The Bride of Frankenstein (watch it Here). The jurors in the Diddy trial are concerned about Juror No. 25, who they believe to be a potential stealth juror. Jury deliberations are ongoing in the Diddy trial, where they will decide on the five counts of charges brought against the rapper. Judge Arun Subramanian received a note within minutes after the jury deliberations began.

The note said, “We have a juror, No. 25, who we are concerned cannot follow your honor’s instructions.” Earlier, Judge Subramanian had clearly instructed the jury about how to weigh the evidence and the guidelines they should use to find Diddy guilty.

Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani, a legal expert for Fox News Digital, shared that Juror No. 25 could be “a potential stealth juror”, adding that “we’re looking at the possibility of jury nullification.”

Billy Joel fans should all get in the mood for two long nights with the piano man in July.

HBO has set the premiere dates for its two-part original documentary Billy Joel: And So It Goes. Part one will air on Friday, July 18, followed by part two a week later on Friday, July 25. Each part will debut on HBO, and streaming service HBO Max, at 8 p.m. Et/Pt and run for roughly two-and-a-half hours, with the full exploration of the iconic musician clocking in at nearly five hours.

Billy Joel: And So It Goes, directed and produced by Susan Lacy and Jessica Levin, premiered its first part at the 2025 Tribeca Festival, but Joel himself was unable to attend the opening night screening, announcing just the week before the event that he had been diagnosed with brain disorder normal pressure hydrocephalus (Nph), leading him to cancel his upcoming concerts and prompting concern from fans.

Former Police bandmates Sting and Andy Summers have reunited for a new version of their 1983 song “Murder by Numbers” with Grammy-winning jazz musician Christian McBride.
