Comedian Adam Carolla stated that Ellen DeGeneres has always been mean and that her staff was afraid of her.
In May 2022, DeGeneres ended her show after complaints of workplace abuse caused her to lose more than one million viewers in one season.
During an appearance on the podcast After Party with Emily Jashinsky, Carolla stated that DeGeneres “has always been a mean person.”
“And it’s not, you know, she had her dust-up with the press and these stories probably three years – two or three years ago.”
“But I did her show, and I mean, look, I’ll tell you truthfully, sort of how it works when you do every show, every show has its own kind of personality,” Carolla noted, referring to his 2012 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which ran from 2003 to 2022. “The show itself, not the on-air show, but the behind the scenes, they all take on...

4 Times Dakota Johnson Has Handled Crisis With Ease. (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Dakota Johnson is arguably one of Hollywood’s most intelligent actors. She has a reputation for not suffering fools easily. The actress, who never fails to articulate the absurdity of a situation in public, once slammed social media users for dragging her into the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
Over the recent years, Dakota Johnson endeared herself as one of the few celebrities who have dished out unfiltered ripostes. The actress’ dry sense of humor and quick wit were on full display during her 2024 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where she handled a wardrobe function with grace befitting a movie star often saddled with untimely crises.
Here’s a look at the four times The Fifty Shades Of Grey star handled crisis with grace:

Now that the ubiquity of on-demand entertainment has meant no longer being forced to watch whatever TBS was rerunning when we’re bored, the kids these days mostly know The Brady Bunch in meme form, specifically the clip from 1996’s A Very Brady Sequel in which Marcia Brady responds to her sister Jan’s obvious lies about a new boyfriend with a pithy, “Sure, Jan.”
Thanks to that perfectly encapsulated dismissal, one of the most enduring legacies of the series is the fraught relationship between Marcia and Jan Brady, which was just as real off screen as on. It may not have taken the same form of middle child Jan’s resentment of being outshone by her older sister, but it did get a lot gayer.
We actually don’t know what it was that ignited the feud between Marcia Brady actress Maureen McCormick and Jan Brady actress Eve Plumb,...

Adam Carolla is showing up late to the Ellen DeGeneres bashing party, piling on the disgraced host during the latest episode of the After Party with Emily Jashinsky podcast. DeGeneres didn’t exactly admit she was a bad boss on her 2024 Netflix special, For Your Approval, but make no mistake, says Carolla, “Ellen has always been a mean person.”
Talk shows don’t have to be miserable, Carolla told Jashinsky. He explained how guesting can be a fun, laid-back experience — depending on the host. “Every show has its own kind of personality,” he explained. “Not the on-air show, but the behind-the-scenes. They all take on the personality of their leader.”
He likened going on a talk show to shopping at a business where all the employees are friendly and relaxed versus a shop where “everybody’s sort of douchey. You’re going, ‘Why is everyone so mean and crappy in this business?...

Pamela Anderson‘s heart may be fluttering for Liam Neeson right now, but did you know that the ‘Baywatch’ actress has been married a total of five times in her lifetime? And out of those 5 marriages, 2 of them were with Rick Salomon.
Who is Rick Salomon? Well, Salomon is best known for his poker skills as a high-stakes poker player. He also found himself in the spotlight due to a s*x tape with Paris Hilton and his high-profile marriages.
Anderson’s third marriage was to Salomon, and the two of them tied the knot at a hotel in Las Vegas in October 2007. Less than ten weeks later, they decided that it wasn’t working out for them, and Anderson filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
After a lot of confusion surrounding the status of their relationship, both Salomon and Anderson filed for annulment, which the court finally granted on March 24, 2008.

When the iconic sitcom Will & Grace first premiered on NBC in 1998, featuring an openly gay man as a lead character was considered truly risky. It was a groundbreaking proposition in network television. This daring move came just a year after Ellen DeGeneres’s eponymous sitcom, Ellen, had been cancelled. That followed a significant ratings nosedive, largely perceived as a backlash to her character’s historic on-screen coming out episode. At the time, the landscape of LGBTQ+ representation on mainstream TV was still nascent. It often met with trepidation from advertisers and some audiences.
To NBC’s immense credit, they chose to take a chance on Will & Grace. Their gamble paid off handsomely. The show was rewarded with an incredibly successful eight-season original run. It became a cultural phenomenon and a staple of “Must See TV.” Furthermore, its enduring popularity led to a...

The U.K.’s Stop Trump Coalition, along with many other groups and individual protesters, has promised to disrupt Vice President Jd Vance’s swanky vacation to the Cotswolds, a countryside region in Southwest England.
A representative from the Stop Trump Coalition told The Telegraph, “Jd Vance is every bit as unwelcome in the UK as Donald Trump… We remember how Vance cut short his ski trip in Vermont because he was so enraged by the sight of a few protestors. We are sure that, even in the Cotswolds, he will find the resistance waiting.”
The Cotswolds is known to be a luxury area, nicknamed “The Hamptons of England.” Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia De Rossi, moved to the area to escape Donald Trump’s second term. Other famous frequenters include King Charles, Beyoncé, Hugh Grant and David Beckham.

Ellen DeGeneres is making some new career moves three years after the end of her eponymous talk show. Deadline reported on Thursday, July 24, that DeGeneres has signed with WME to represent her in all aspects of her career, except for comedy tours. The update comes after her longtime manager, Eddy Yablans, moved from CAA to become a partner at Lbi Entertainment in December 2024. Yablans will continue to represent DeGeneres for Lbi Entertainment and Yorn, Levine, Barnes. The TV personality’s new representation seemingly hints at a Hollywood comeback, especially after she shared that she misses hosting The Ellen DeGeneres Show “a lot” during a Sunday, July 20, interview with Richard Bacon. During the event, held at the Everyman Theatre in the English town of Cheltenham, she also admitted that she’s unsure if the show’s format would work in the U.K. “I mean, I wish it did, because I...

Exclusive: Ellen DeGeneres has signed with WME for representation in all areas outside of touring. The Emmy-winning actor, comedian and talk show host had been in play since her long-time agent, Eddy Yablans, left CAA in December to join Lbi Entertainment as a partner. He continues to represent her as a manager.
DeGeneres’ signing with WME comes on the heels of her signaling a showbiz return. The comedian, who had kept a relatively low profile since moving with wife Portia de Rossi to England in November, did an interview with English broadcaster Richard Bacon over the weekend.
In it, she said that she misses “a lot” about her daytime talk show and that she “would love to do that again” in the UK had the business model for such shows been still viable, per the BBC. She noted that she will choose “very carefully” the third act in her career...

In recent weeks, social media has become a breeding ground for wild and unfounded rumors involving rapper Yung Miami, music mogul Sean Combs aka Diddy, and artist Saucy Santana.
A messy live stream by Santana’s ex-boyfriend, known only as “D,” went live on social media to accuse the rapper of hiding an HIV-positive status, even alleging poor hygiene and a questionable s-xual history. But things didn’t stop there.
As speculation grew, some online users began linking Yung Miami to the narrative not only as a potential “connector” between Diddy and Santana but also as someone allegedly dealing with HIV herself.
Things escalated when fans dug up an old Saucy Santana lyric referencing “Diddy World,” and began speculating that Yung Miami, known for her past relationship with Diddy, may have introduced Santana to him. Some even pushed the baseless claim that Yung Miami herself is HIV-positive due to her...

Former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has confirmed her decision to leave the U.S. was due to the re-election of Donald Trump.
DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, bought a house in the Cotswolds, England, in 2024.
At the Everyman Theater in the town of Cheltenham in southern England on Sunday, DeGeneres told the audience she and her wife had initially bought a “part-time house” in the United Kingdom.
However, she explained, “We got here the day before the election and woke up to a lot of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, ‘[Trump] got in.’ And we’re like, ‘We’re staying here.’ I wish we were at a place where it was not scary for people to be who they are. When Ellen DeGeneres publicly declared “Yep, I’m gay” on the cover of Time Magazine in 1997, it was a watershed moment that reverberated far beyond her own life. That same year, her character Ellen Morgan came out on her sitcom Ellen, making television history as the first lead character in a sitcom to be openly gay.
Oprah Winfrey, a close friend and frequent collaborator, guest-starred as DeGeneres’s therapist in the landmark two-part episode known as The Puppy Episode. But the fallout was far more brutal than either woman anticipated.

Ellen DeGeneres says she and wife Portia de Rossi moved to the United Kingdom because of President Trump.
The comedian and former talk show host shared the news during a live conversation in Cheltenham, England, on Sunday, with British broadcaster Richard Bacon, who asked her if reports that she’d moved to the U.K. because of Trump were true. “Yes,” she said, noting that the decision to permanently relocate there was made the day after Trump was re-elected to a second term in November, according to the BBC.
After DeGeneres’ talk show ended in 2022, she embarked on her final tour, titled Ellen’s Last Stand … Up, which ended in August. Then, the couple purchased what DeGeneres said they thought was going to be “a part-time house” — a place to stay a few months out of the year. However, that changed when Trump was voted back into office, she said.

Sean Combs’ aka Diddy’s future remains uncertain, but the possibility of his release in 2025 is no longer far-fetched. Following his conviction on two counts related to the Mann Act, transporting a prostitute across state lines, Diddy faces up to four years in prison. However, legal experts now believe he may serve closer to 15 to 21 months, especially given his proactive rehabilitation efforts.
Diddy’s participation in two federal prison programs, one addressing substance abuse and the other focused on domestic violence, demonstrates what former prosecutor Neama Rahmani called “Lawyering 101.”
By voluntarily enrolling in the Stop Program (targeting s-xual assault and violent behavior) and the Dr. Harry K. Wexler substance abuse program, Diddy is signaling to the court that he is taking personal accountability for his actions. These rehabilitative steps may help Judge Arun Subramanian, who previously denied his bail, view him as a lower risk.

Former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres spoke up to support comedian Rosie O’Donnell following President Donald Trump’s threat to revoke her U.S. citizenship.
O’Donnell has long been a vocal critic of Trump and moved to Ireland to escape his second term. On Saturday, Trump posted to TruthSocial, declaring O’Donnell to be a “threat to humanity,” claiming that he was giving “serious consideration to taking away her citizenship.”
O’Donnell fired back on Instagram with a vicious poem mourning the state of the country and branding Trump “King Joffrey with a tangerine spray tan.”
DeGeneres, who also moved out of the country in response to the new president, showed her support for O’Donnell on Instagram with screenshots of Trump and O’Donnell’s exchange, captioning the post, “good for you @rosie.”

Ellen DeGeneres is supporting Rosie O’Donnell.
The 67-year-old former Ellen talk show host spoke out on Instagram on Sunday (July 13), one day after President Donald Trump claimed he was “giving serious consideration” to revoking Rosie‘s U.S. citizenship.

I don’t have strong opinions on Ellen DeGeneres — she was a fine comic, a subpar daytime host, probably a bully and one of the only Hollywood people to actually lose a job because of cancel culture. Really, she was great as Dory in Finding Nemo.
But as inconsequential as Ellen’s current whereabouts are to my life, the theory of how she got here is incredibly important. You see, it all starts with 9/11. Yes, that 9/11. The one in 2001, the one which permanently changed the trajectory of American public life, the definition of freedom, warmongering, human rights, airport security, and according to one beloved theory, Ellen DeGeneres’ career.
The Domino Effect theory on this issue — Ellen’s career, not 9/11, we don’t have time for that, we don’t have the maps for that — spans multiple decades, families and major motion picture blockbuster franchises. Circulating in the annals of the internet for years,...

Comedian Margaret Cho has joined the long list of celebrities who have called out former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for unkind and offensive behavior on and off screen.
In a new episode of The Kelly Mantle Show, Cho recalled that even though she and DeGeneres had known each other in the 1980s while they were both trying to make it in the comedy scene. When Cho appeared on The Ellen Show, DeGeneres pretended as though they had never met.
“Ellen was really weird and not nice to me for most of my career,” she recalled. “I opened for her in the 1980s when she was a headliner in comedy clubs. Later, when I would do her talk show in the 2000s, she would act like we just met…and I’m like, ‘B—-, what?’ That’s weird. We go way back. It’s so creepy and weird.”

Add Margaret Cho to the long list of entertainers who accuse Ellen DeGeneres of not living up to her reputation as the Queen of Nice, but let’s face it — that crown was dented, tarnished and kicked to the curb a long time ago.
Cho dished the dirt last week on The Kelly Mantle Show. Amidst sharing stories about old pals Joan Rivers and Quentin Tarantino, the conversation turned to the disgraced comic. “Ellen is so…” Cho began.
“Complicated?” asked Mantle.
“Somebody that I’ve known for such a long time. It’s so weird now,” Cho continued. “Public perception of her is more true. She’s mean. She was a mean girl.”
Why did DeGeneres have it out for Cho in particular? She couldn’t know for sure, but “I think she always had kind of negative feelings toward me because her girlfriends and wives always liked me.”

Margaret Cho is speaking out about her experience with Ellen DeGeneres, claiming that her fellow comedian and talk show host has been “really weird” and “not nice” to her over the course of their careers.
In an interview on “The Kelly Mantle Show,” Cho said DeGeneres is “somebody that I’ve known for such a long time” and “the public perception of her is more true” now. DeGeneres experienced a fall from grace back in 2020 after toxic workplace allegations emerged about “The Ellen Show,” culminating in its end in 2022 and DeGeneres’ retirement. Cho said she’s known DeGeneres since they were both starting out in the stand-up comedy scene in the ’80s.

For the longest time, Ellen DeGeneres was known to be the lovable talk show host who believed in her “be kind” mantra. Margaret Cho is accusing Ellen DeGeneres of being “not nice” to her for most of her career, despite both of them working in comedy in their early days.

Margaret Cho has had many run-ins with Ellen DeGeneres — more than DeGeneres claims to remember, apparently. Before landing his signature role as Bobby Bacala on The Sopranos, Steve Schirripa got his first taste of showbiz as the entertainment director of The Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. That’s where he started rubbing elbows with comics like Drew Carey and Kevin Pollack, as well as other famous comedians who passed through his venue.
On a recent episode of the We Might Be Drunk podcast, Schirripa told Sam Morril and Mark Normand about some of his brushes with comedy greats. He ran through a list of his favorite comics from the Vegas days, names like Damon Wayans, Nick Di Paolo and Dave Attell. But one comedian in particular rubbed Schirripa the wrong way. “I don’t like Ellen DeGeneres,” he explained. “She was an asshole then. She got proven to be an asshole, but she was an asshole way back when.”

When Friends debuted on NBC in 1994, ABC decided to change the name of its returning Ellen DeGeneres-led sitcom These Friends of Mine to simply Ellen. When Roseanne Barr went on a racist Twitter tirade in 2018, her newly rebooted show Roseanne killed off her character and became The Conners. For both shows, the name-change likely spared them from a swift and premature death.
While rare, sitcoms occasionally change their titles, and when they do, it’s usually an attempt to save the show from a looming cancellation. And yes, sometimes it works. But not always. The unfortunate losers in the name-changing game are below.

Over 40 years after its release, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" remains one of the funniest stoner comedies ever made. Helmed by first-time director Amy Heckering (over a decade before she would direct "Clueless") from a screenplay by then-newcomer Cameron Crowe (before his work on "Almost Famous" and "Jerry Maguire"), the 1982 film followed a group of slacker kids as they navigate the socially volatile waters of sophomore year at Ridgemont High School.
"Fast Times" famously boasts an ensemble cast that includes several actors who would go on to become massive stars, some in tiny roles you may not remember. About eight hours by direct flight from the seen-and-be-seen restaurants and red carpets of Hollywood is a resort on a remote speck of a private island. It was there that Barack Obama wrote his post-White House memoirs, where Kim Kardashian threw her controversial pandemic-era 40th birthday bash (to the tune of $1 million) and where Britney Spears enjoyed the calm before the storm ahead of releasing her memoir.
The locale? The Brando, about 30 miles north of Tahiti on the 12-island atoll of Tetiaroa, which Marlon Brando bought after he fell in love with the region while filming 1962’s Mutiny on the Bounty. Now over a decade old, the resort has a storied history filled with star turns. Villas start at $4,000; more booking and price options at Hotels.com and Expedia.com.

One cinematic medium that has continued far-reaching appeal spanning age groups and cultures is animated movies. Animation consistently performs well worldwide, often buoyed by its family-friendly sense of humor, universal messaging, and visually impressive art design. In addition to being a hit with critics, animated films regularly find themselves as the highest-earning movies of a given year, particularly when produced and marketed by larger studios. This has led to lucrative box office runs, sometimes breaking records set by their live-action counterparts.
Many of the highest-grossing films of all time are animated, and many of these major earners were released within the past decade, at least in nominal earnings. With that in mind, we've assembled over a dozen of the highest-earning animated films to date. To clarify, this list includes earners without adjusting for inflation and drawing from cumulative global box office grosses.

James Gunn’s Superman trailer is off to a soaring start — and it's already leaving the competition in the dust.
Superman has garnered 19,737,712 views over the past 2 days while Fantastic Four: First Steps has achieved 19,451,669 views in 29 days. A whole 300,000 views less. Which is crazy since many on here thought Fantastic Four would be acquire more views and popularity than the reboot of Superman. Unfortunately, for them, it doesn't look like it's the case.
[You Don't Need To Read This Part. It's Just Added To Fit The Minimum Of Four Hundred Words]
Superman, from James Gunn, will release just 2 weeks before Fantastic Four from a director I can't remember the name of. Perhaps I do remember the name but I don't want to say it, I just want to post extra words because this article need 400 words. Why?.I'm not sure. So yeah, Superman is closing in on 20 million views (most likely will hit that number by the time I find enough things to write about) and Fantastic Four halters at 19.45 million.

Chuck Lorre’s brand of humor can prove to be iffy on occasions, as throughout his tenure in the sitcoms, the showrunner has often dealt with lowbrow humor accessible to almost everyone. While the writer did tone down things in The Big Bang Theory in comparison to Charlie Sheen’s Two and a Half Men, the former still has its fair share of issues.
Although not as egregious as Two and a Half Men with its questionable jokes that haven’t translated well into the modern age, certain moments from Tbbt certainly haven’t aged well, including the fatphobia around Mrs. Wolowitz.

Voiced by Carol Ann Susi, the mystery surrounding Mrs. Wolowitz was one of the longest-running gags in the entire sitcom, which was eventually written out of the show in the wake of Susi’s death in 2014. Surprisingly,...

Former First Lady Michelle Obama famously wanted to get America’s kids in shape, but the “Let’s Move!” campaign wasn’t an open invitation for every daytime TV star to put her through an undignified physical challenge like she’s some lowly, abused production assistant.
During Mrs. Obama’s time living in the White House, Ellen DeGeneres was, by far, the most powerful and influential cultural figure to fill the 3 p.m. time slot. And although the host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show was secretly running her institutional series like it was a third-world dictatorship, throughout the Obama administration, the arbiters of our democratic society all flocked to pay homage to the great Ellen any time they needed to spread an important and uplifting message to the masses of stay-at-home parents and kids just getting out of middle school.
Given Ellen’s cultural cachet at the time, Obama likely...
