After hitting it big in the late 90s, thanks to Dharma & Greg‘s unexpected success, which earned her a Golden Globe win, Jenna Elfman’s presence in showbiz dwindled out in the years that followed. While the actress has starred in several sitcoms since, those releases weren’t able to replicate the buzz of Dharma & Greg, which lasted for five seasons.

Another major factor has been the actress’ devotion to Scientology and her personal life. Moreover, it seems Elfman is quite contained with her life outside of showbiz.

Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison on two rape charges on Thursday (September 7), and just minutes later, an old clip from Late Night with Conan O’Brien resurfaced and quickly went viral across social media. The video is from 2004 when Masterson appeared on the NBC late-night talk show. During the interview, O’Brien asked the That ’70s Show star about his lack of Long Island accent. Masterson explained that after living in Los Angeles for about a decade, his accent “just goes away naturally, and then there’s also certain words that there’s nothing you can do about.” He then shared how his friend, actor Bodhi Elfman, teases him, “He says, ‘Hi, my name is Danny Masterson, would you like to touch my balls?’,” emphasizing the final word in a strong Long Island accent. O’Brien picked up on this weird anecdote, responding, “So why are you asking people to do that?...

Just minutes after Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for multiple rapes Thursday, an old late-night clip with the actor resurfaced on X, instantly going viral to amass 2.6M views within hours.
In the video from a 2004 appearance on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien, captioned with the news of the sentencing followed by “Conan knew,” Long Island native Masterson is quizzed by the comedy host about his lack of Long Island accent.
The innocuous banter takes a sharp turn after an eyebrow-raising anecdote Masterson chooses to illustrate his point that his accent “just goes away naturally, and then there’s also certain words that there’s nothing you can do about.” The anecdote involves his friend, actor Bodhi Elfman, who Masterson says “always teases me, and he says ‘Hi, my name is Danny Masterson, would you like to touch my balls?'” saying the...

The Behavioral Analysis Unit (Bau) in Criminal Minds has dealt with all manner of masterminds and unsubs, but Peter Lewis may be one of the most diabolical and terrifying they’ve ever investigated. Criminal Minds is a police procedural that first ran for 15 seasons on CBS before ending in 2020, but then it was revived for season 16 in November 2022 on Paramount Plus. The series follows the Bau, a special division of the FBI, as they use behavioral profiling and analysis techniques to find the culprits, or unsubs (unknown subjects), behind the United States’ most grim and difficult crimes.
Over the course of the show, the main cast of Criminal Minds has investigated dozens of unsubs, from simple con artists all the way up to near genius-level serial killers. While some criminals were only of the “villain-of-the-week” variety, some like Peter Lewis were season-spanning foes who dug into the investigators as much...

A Criminal Minds revival, technically Criminal Minds season 16, is coming, and it opens up the chance that Hotch, aka Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), will finally return. The majority of the cast is returning for Criminal Minds, except for Matthew Gray Gubler and Daniel Henney; there is still no word of whether or not they are involved in the procedural's revival. When Criminal Minds debuted in 2005, there were only seven main characters. Through the years, it underwent several cast changes with a few entrances and departures. While the show was used to shuffling its players, Gibson's sudden exit from Criminal Minds in season 12 remains a controversial matter, especially since he was one of the few original characters on the show. With Criminal Minds season 16 in development, it's fair to wonder if there are plans to reincorporate the former Bau chief into the procedural.

No one sets out to make a cult movie. Most filmmakers aspire to commercial heights even if they only have the budgets for a B-movie. They see films like Blair Witch realign box office accounting and apply all kinds of quantum physics to mimic the exponential multiplication. Very few achieve it, and the ones which do usually do it by accident, and certainly not with serious intent. Aliens, Clowns & Geeks is not afraid to be ridiculous. It joins the ranks as such brave films as Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, and Frankenhooker.
It is also so much more than these films, dripping with artistry, and yet considerably less, with masturbating aliens, pussy ping pong, and sphincter-pinching obelisks. Richard Elfman’s sci-fi comedy has an abundance of experimental fun and a happily reckless disregard for taste. It owes as much to Frank Zappa as it does to Frank Capra,...

"Wake up, Richard." FilmRise has unveiled an official trailer for a paranoia thriller titled Browse, which hasn't shown up at any festivals this year. This drama finally takes us into the world of digital paranoia, with all of our devices and technology being able to track and observe everything you do. Lukas Haas stars as Richard, a solitary man who becomes convinced that someone hacked into all of his devices and that they're being used to manipulate and control him. "Desperate for clarity, Richard seeks to uncover the truth of who is trying to manipulate him and why, but the more he struggles with his futile investigation, the further he’s cast into an insurmountable web of paranoia." Scary. Also starring Sarah Rafferty, Chloe Bridges, and Bodhi Elfman. This actually looks quite unsettling. Especially with the Clockwork Orange wink at the end. Forbidden Zone director Richard Elfman pulls a movie with the key to the universe out of his butt in Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens & Geeks.
In the pantheon of cult movies, Forbidden Zone stands at high midnight. Richard Elfman's 1980 Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo vehicle was a one-of-a-kind film careening down on a one-way street to an oddly predestined end. On the clock of Midnight Movies, his upcoming Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens & Geeks runs sometime after 3 a.m., striking after the popcorn has been swept under the seats by the night crew. Independent to its core and featuring Austin Powers' Verne Troyer in his last role, the movie cannot be brushed aside by the barrage of blockbusters. Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens & Geeks is the antidote to mainstream and a breakneck cure for the run-of-the-mill.
Shot in a fast-paced, classic screen-comedy style, the film is intra-dimensional, extraterrestrial and sonically grounded.

Jenna Elfman makes a triumphant return to television comedy with an ambitious new series -- but this time, it’s a whole other ballgame.
On ABC’s live-action/CGI-animated sitcom, Imaginary Mary, Elfman plays Alice, a sports public relations executive, who falls in love with Ben (Stephen Schneider), a divorced father of three. What we soon learn is Alice’s imaginary friend from childhood, Mary (voiced by Rachel Dratch), reappears out of nowhere when Alice nervously prepares to meet her boyfriend’s kids for the very first time.
For the Dharma and Greg vet, Imaginary Mary presented a different kind of challenge -- one Elfman was eager to tackle head-on. Instead of acting opposite other actors, the 45-year-old actress spends a lot of her time talking to no one when scenes call for her character, Alice, to interact with her imaginary friend, Mary.

Adam Rodriguez isn't Shemar Moore. But different doesn't have to mean worse.
Rodriguez's Luke Alvez gets prominently introduced on Criminal Minds Season 12 Episode 1. It's quickly established during his takedown of one of the escaped serial killers that he's a bad-ass, a former Army Ranger who doesn't mind getting a lot more physical that the other current members of the Bau.
And you can see that he's got a slow boil right below the surface.
And he doesn't feel he's a good fit for the Bau.
I can't sit around brainstorming about these guys. I need the chase.

Rodriguez's time on CSI: Miami also helps him to toss out pseudo-scientific jargon with ease, so he fits right in with those brain stormers.
But, missing her Derek, sweet Garcia gives the cold shoulder to the hunky new guy.

On Fox's drama "Touch" -- which concludes its first season with a two-hour finale on Thursday, May 31 -- Bodhi Elfman pays Avram, an Hasidic Jew who may have answers to the questions that troubled father Martin Bohm (Kiefer Sutherland) has about his emotionally challenged 11-year-old son, Jake (David Mazouz), who seems to be able to detect world-spanning connections through mysterious numbers.
Series creator Tim Kring appears to have made a connection of his own by casting Elfman in the part.
"I've been working on a character like this on my own," Elfman tells Zap2it, "kind of an Hasidic Jew out of New York. it was something that I had been playing with for a while. Then, when the meeting came up for this type of thing, it happened very fast, just came at me.

The summer movie season really kicked into gear Wednesday with the premiere of Super 8 in Los Angeles, featuring some of Hollywood's biggest names. Producer Steven Spielberg and director J.J. Abrams were joined by the sci-fi film's stars, including Elle Fanning and Kyle Chandler, as well as colleagues and friends such as Tom Cruise and Conan O'Brien, who explored the party hand-in-hand with his wife. Cruise looked casual and happy as he strolled solo down the black carpet, stopping here and there to chat and seeming entirely at ease. The afterparty was modeled like a vintage block party on a...

A woman attempts to pay at the check out in the grocery store, hounded by a complaining customer behind her and very nervous when she looks at a gang outside in the car. Lots of potential suspects in the opening as to why she was so anxious. Shots are heard and the trolley cart boy and the same woman are shot and killed. Nick's (George Eads) first comment at the Cs is that he wanted to go grocery shopping too. Very out of character and irrelevant that two DBs could lead him to think of shopping. Sara (Jorga Fox) replies someone had the same idea. The Db boy, Hector has prison tattoos so could have been the intended target. Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) comments on the woman being an unlucky customer, meaning her shooting could have been accidental. However Nick comments on the Gs (Gun shot) wounds and one in her left eye.

A murdered woman. A kidnapped daughter. Tension. Drama. And a solid hour of television all around wrapped up 2010 for CSI.
The tension and drama came from new places in the story on "418/427." Generally, an episode takes the viewer on a journey of discovering how a crime or a death occurred, but this week it was all centered in one direction. It focused on a sole outcome, and the questions I kept going back to again and again were:
Will the little girl be found, and will she be alive?
There was some great camera work going on throughout the hour. Every so often, the image of FBI Agent Danielle Moore would flicker and cause the viewer to see double. That was a clue that this character - who had just lost his wife and whose daughter was missing - was a part of the strange twists and turns of the story.

Elfman Accidentally Enjoyed Kissing Scene
Married actress Jenna Elfman was left red-faced during a love scene with her Accidentally On Purpose co-star Jon Foster - because she enjoyed kissing him so much she forgot her lines.
The pair co-star in the U.S. TV comedy, about a couple coming to terms with raising a child conceived during a one-night stand.
The actress, who is married and to actor Bodhi Elfman, admits she was entranced during an onscreen lip lock - and she was shocked by how good it made her feel.
She says, "My husband and I are (sexually) active, so it's not like I'm not getting that at home. But for some reason it felt really good kissing my co-star, and I've been kissing leading men for a long time so it's not anything new. I was totally enjoying how it was feeling and completely forgot my lines."
Elfman admits she was so traumatised by her revelation, she now questions her acting ability.
She adds, "The moment I realised I forgot my lines because I was enjoying kissing my co-star, I couldn't believe it. I pride myself on being a (professional). That was the most humiliating thing."...
