Hot off a franchise-best debut, director Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later is all set to pass the $100 million mark at the global box office this weekend. The movie made $60 million worldwide in its first three days of release and has since held up moderately well. On Monday, the zombie horror film grossed around $3 million domestically, pushing its running total to $32 million. This takes the film's global box office haul to $63 million, which puts it ahead of a Jason Statham movie that has slipped through the cracks of time. The movie is Cellular, which also happened to feature none other than Chris Evans as the parallel lead.
Directed by the late David R. Ellis, who'll always be remembered for Snakes on a Plane, the movie debuted theatrically in 2004 and grossed $62 million worldwide. Cellular was produced on a reported budget of $25 million, which makes it a nifty little hit for both Statham,...

Dark Winds takes place in the early 1970s in the Four Corners area of America, primarily on the Navajo Nation Reservation in New Mexico. The series features a mainly Indigenous American cast led by Zahn McClarnon as Joe Leaphorn, a lieutenant of the Navajo Tribal Police. Beside Joe are Bernadette "Bern" Manuelito and Jim Chee, who help Joe investigate mysterious deaths and disappearances. The AMC series has a small, tight-knit cast but nonetheless features supporting actors and guest stars who add more complexity than what Joe, Bern and Jim already have.
The first two seasons of Dark Winds feature characters from all walks of life, even those who have only ever lived in the same town. From clear antagonists to nuanced heroes, it's difficult to say that Dark Winds has a black-and-white worldview. There may be clear "good guys" and "bad guys," but this is a gray world in which Joe is battling demons.

AMC plans to continue its psychological crime drama Dark Winds for the foreseeable future. The series, which wrapped its second season nearly two years ago, will return for Season 4. The news arrives as the critically acclaimed series is gearing up to premiere its third season.
Per Deadline, AMC has renewed Dark Winds for a fourth season, ahead of its Season 3 premiere, which is set to debut on Mar. 9. The first two seasons of the show premiered during the summer, but the nearly two-year delay and different premiere date for Season 3 is likely due to the dual writers' and actors' strikes, which delayed the production start of the third season.
Dark Winds premiered on AMC and AMC+ in 2022 and drew 2.2 million viewers in Live+3 ratings on the network. For its second season, the series drew 1.7 million weekly viewers in Live+3 ratings and also saw significant gains from its first season on...

Filmmaker Robert Moniot’s The Ice Cream Man is eight decades in the making. The short recounts the little-known true story of Ernst Cahn (played by Noah Emmerich), a Jewish ice cream shop owner who, along with his family, fled Nazi Germany in 1936 to Amsterdam in hopes of a more peaceful life. However, after the Nazis invade the country, the notorious German officer Klaus Barbie, also known as “The Butcher of Lyon,” homes in on Cahn and his establishment. Barbie’s threatening presence forces Cahn to choose between fleeing the country with his family or taking a stand against the brutal regime.
The Ice Cream Man landed the 2025 Oscars shortlist and has screened at multiple film festivals, including the Indy Shorts International Film Festival and the Naples International Film Festival, where it won the Audience Choice Award and Best Short Film, respectively.
Here, Moniot talks to Deadline about bringing Cahn’s heroic stance to life.
