South Park’s27th season is now in full swing following a two-year hiatus. The first episode of the season, albeit a controversial one, was the highest-rated season premiere for the raunchy animated series in more than 25 years.
With South Park topping the streaming charts, the series, which debuted on Comedy Central in 1997, is showing no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Per ComicBook.com, the show’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, have debunked a long-standing rumor that fans would ever see a fully live-action version of Stan, Cartman, Kyle, Kenny, and the rest of the South Park gang.
Although one would wonder how characters like Towelie, Mr. Hankey, and even Mr. Mackey would translate into live-action versions, Parker and Stone shut down the rumor of any type of full-length live-action version of South Park. At Comedy Central’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Parker and Stone were asked...

Although Jesse Metcalfe made his TV heartthrob debut on ABC‘s Desperate Housewives in 2004, he missed a chance to break out that year on HBO.
The actor recently recounted passing up on “auditioning for Adrian Grenier‘s role” as movie star Vincent Chase in the hit 6x Emmy-winning Doug Ellin series Entourage, which ran for eight seasons from 2004 to 2011 before culminating in a 2015 big screen offshoot.
“I had an audition for Entourage, and I read the pilot episode, and I was like, ‘This is stupid,’ and I didn’t go to the audition,” he admitted to People.
“Obviously, I had no idea what I was talking about,” added Metcalfe. “That ended up being an iconic show that I absolutely love, and definitely wish I was a part of.”

One of Family Guy’s biggest stars still regards the show’s resurrection from cancellation as a standout career moment, over 20 years later. Seth Green has voiced Chris Griffin in the cartoon sitcom since it began in 1999, as well as Griffin family neighbor Neil Goldman.
In conversation with ScreenRant’s Ash Crossan at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, the actor has recalled many people not even realizing he was in the show during its early years. Yet, while many of Family Guy’s main characters are voiced by creator Seth MacFarlane, Green’s performance as Chris Griffin has made him one of the sitcom’s most iconic voices.
Family Guy’s 24th season will soon be on the way, but the show was initially cancelled in 2002 after just three seasons. Seth Green remembers trying to get more eyes on the show, and being delighted that it was resurrected by Fox. Here’s...

Hulu comes strong for Halloween grabs each year, and as it turns out, 2025 isn’t going to be any different. Seth MacFarlane’s most provocative and unapologetic creation, Family Guy, is expanding its Hulu-exclusive lineup with two new holiday specials. It starts with a Halloween episode titled “A Little Fight Music,” premiering Monday, October 6 — the title for the second special is not yet unveiled. The specials will be separate from Family Guy Season 24, which will air in 2026.
As per Variety, the news comes after it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 on July 26. The Halloween episode features Brian and Stewie writing a Halloween hit due to the “shortage of quality Halloween songs,” while Peter and friends face dark consequences from faking trick-or-treating. This continues Hulu’s direct collaboration with 20th Television Animation, separate from the show’s traditional Fox broadcast schedule. It is also not Family Guy’s first exclusive for Hulu.

Family Guy is heading back into spooky territory this fall, and it’s doing so with a ninth Halloween-themed special that will premiere exclusively on Hulu. Announced during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel, the new Halloween episode — titled “A Little Fright Music” — will debut on Monday, October 6, marking the second year in a row the long-running animated series has produced a holiday special just for streaming. In “A Little Fright Music,” Brian and Stewie set out to write a Halloween hit after realizing there’s a severe lack of spooky bangers in the seasonal playlist. Meanwhile, Peter and the guys make the mistake of lying about trick-or-treating, which — in true Family Guy fashion — snowballs into deadly consequences. Whether it’s ghosts, goblins, or just Peter’s bad judgment, someone is definitely going to pay.

If you’ve ever wanted to watch Mr. Bean, a Monty Python legend, Seth Green, Whoopi Goldberg, and Smash Mouth all crash headfirst into a live-action cartoon – Rat Race should be right up your alley. And starting August 1, Jerry Zucker’s 2001 chaos-fueled ensemble comedy is making its way to Paramount+, where a new generation of streamers can marvel at the fact that this movie even exists. Loosely inspired by 1963’s It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, Rat Race opens with eccentric billionaire Donald Sinclair, played with unhinged glee by John Cleese, inviting a group of unsuspecting tourists at a Las Vegas casino to compete in a secret race. The rules are simple: There’s $2 million in a locker 700 miles away in Silver City, New Mexico. Whoever gets there first, keeps it. And as if that weren’t absurd enough, Sinclair’s fellow billionaires are gambling on the outcome.

Seth Green shares a disappointing update about his involvement in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. Airing from 1997-2003, Buffy the Vampire Slayer became one of the most iconic shows of its era. Sarah Michelle Gellar is confirmed to reprise her role in the upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, alongside a new Slayer played by Ryan Kiera Armstrong. Hulu has a pilot order for the show, which will be written by Nora and Lila Zuckerman and directed by Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao.
Green played Daniel "Oz" Osbourne for several years of the series. A recurring guest star in season 2, Green would become a full cast member in season 3. Green left Buffy the Vampire Slayer early in season 4 to pursue other opportunities, and returned for two additional episodes, although one was just for a dream sequence.
In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Green reveals that he has not been contacted about returning as Oz.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is the gift that keeps on giving. 22 years after putting down her wooden stake at the end of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 7's finale, which aired on May 20, 2003, she is almost back to Sunnydale.
Earlier this year, Gellar revealed she is making her return to Buffy, despite years of refusing to do so. She found the best way to bring the story back with her new partners — Nora and Lilla Zuckerman as the writers and showrunners, and Chloé Zhao as director. In a new photo on Instagram, Sarah Michelle Gellar confirmed the Buffy the Vampire Slayer sequel series is in pre-production.

As we await to celebrate 20 years of “Robot Chicken” with the upcoming “The Robot Chicken Self-Discovery Special,” TheWrap wants to turn back the clock to remember all the hilarious moments when “Robot Chicken” co-creator Seth Green, who famously voices “Family Guy” character Chris Griffin, took some heat from “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane in the hit Fox series over the years.
A little friendly shade never hurt nobody, and for folks who are fans of both series, we were here for the crossover gags. And as much as “Family Guy” loved to take shots at the beloved Adult Swim series, let’s not act like we weren’t all staying up to watch those hilarious sketches.
From Peter and Chris Griffin’s battle over who had the better “Star Wars” parody to Stewie and Brian visiting the “Robot Chicken” universe, it truly couldn’t get any more meta than these hilarious disses below.

“Robot Chicken” is officially returning for its newest special “Robot Chicken: Self-Discovery Special” to celebrate its 20th anniversary. And of course, we’ve got all the details about when it hits TV screens.
When Seth Green and Matthew Senreich launched “Robot Chicken” on Adult Swim in 2005, it became an instant hit that fans stayed up late to watch. Between jokes targeting pop culture and Hollywood giants like Mario and Luigi and filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, “Robot Chicken” has stood the test of time as an adult animated classic.
“Robot Chicken” is executive produced by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, along with co-head writers Douglas Goldstein and Tom Root. Green and Senreich also write, voice and direct the award-winning series. Stoopid Buddy Stoodios partners, John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner, also serve as executive producers.

The Family Guy series is no longer owned by Fox, but Disney Entertainment co-chair Dana Walden has indicated that there are no immediate plans to remove the comedy from the network. Still, sometimes plans change. With all of Fox's other animated comedies, could the network be the one to drop Family Guy instead? Will it be cancelled or renewed for season 24 and stay on Fox? Stay tuned.
An animated comedy series, Family Guy stars voice actors Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Mila Kunis, Seth Green, Patrick Warburton, and Arif Zahir. While speaking exclusively to Screen Rant, Seth Green shared an update on his potential involvement with Mass Effect 5. Green previously played Joker in the original Mass Effect trilogy, but details are scarce about the story and setting of the next game, so it's unclear what characters will be returning. We know at least one character is coming back, but according to Green, we will likely have to wait a bit longer to learn about Joker's fate.
The topic of Seth Green's potential Mass Effect return came up during an exclusive interview with Screen Rant. Green made it clear that, while he still has a lot of love for the role of Joker, there are currently no plans to bring him back. However, he did leave the door open for his return, saying that he would be willing to explore the character further if given the opportunity. Green's full comments can...

I Know What You Did Last Summer is back with a new entry. The 1997 original starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe.
The new legacy sequel brought back Hewitt and Prinze Jr., the only remaining survivors of the two installments. However, although Gellar refused to return, given that her character was killed in the first installment, she attended the new sequel's premiere to support her husband, Prinze Jr. Since Gellar had no interactions with Hewitt, the internet started speculating that the two had a feud, something Gellar clarified on her Instagram immediately.

“Twenty years in, and they’re still surprising us. Join a more mature ‘Robot Chicken’ on a journey of introspection.”
That’s how Adult Swim and HBO Max are teasing their upcoming “Robot Chicken” Self-Discovery Special in honor of the animated adult stop-motion sketch comedy series’ 20th anniversary. To celebrate, co-creator and star Seth Green got introspective with TheWrap, discussing everything from the show’s celebrity guest stars to how the formation of Wbd impacted their output.
“The special came about because Discovery Media bought Warner Bros. and all its subsidiaries, which trickled all the way down to Adult Swim. So there was a shift — not just in the volume of global workforce that were employed, but also the priorities of any of these smaller subsidiaries at the behest of these much larger companies,” Green told TheWrap. “All that to say, no one was green-lighting a new season of 20 quarter-hours.

Adult Swim is gearing up for a major return to San Diego Comic-Con (Sdcc) 2025, bringing fans a treasure trove of live events, sneak peeks, and immersive experiences.
