Leprechaun Movies Ranked
Image
Top of the mornin’ to you! It may not be St. Patrick’s Day, but it’s never a bad time to watch Leprechaun movies, and we here at Arrow in the Head decided to go back over the whole Leprechaun franchise to rank them from worst to first. The Leprechaun Movies Ranked list can be seen below – check it out and let us know how you would rank the movies!

Leprechaun: Origins (2014)

This is appalling. Director Zach Lipovsky, writer Harris Wilkinson, and WWE Studios were given the chance to make a new Leprechaun movie, they cast a professional wrestler (Dylan “Hornswoggle” Postl) as the title character, and then they just churned out a dull monster movie. I don’t know how anyone involved thought this was a good idea (“You know what we should do? Take everything people liked about Leprechaun and remove it!”) or how Leprechaun: Origins made it through production.

‘Law & Order: Svu’ Season 27 Set Images Suggest a Long-Awaited Romance May Finally Happen
Image
They've done it again. Longtime best friends and former Law & Order: Special Victims Unit co-stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni have broken the internet (and this author.) Hargitay and Meloni previously broke the internet back in March, when Meloni filmed a scene for the Svu and L&o crossover "Play With Fire." Season 27 has officially been underway for nearly two weeks, with a premiere date set for September 25. The series will premiere alongside the flagship Law & Order for Season 25, as well as a first-time broadcast of Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5. After set pictures surfaced of major cast members gathering, such as Hargitay, Meloni, Ice-t, Peter Scanavino, as well as former Svu cast members Dann Florek and Dean Winters, fans speculate something big, something nostalgic, is coming. Could that nostalgia also finally give Eo their endgame?

The series of images show the longtime friends huddled up in costume as the cameras roll,...

Chris Meloni Returns to Svu After 14-Year Absence
Christopher Meloni
Christopher Meloni will reprise his career-defining role as Detective Elliot Stabler in an upcoming guest appearance on NBC’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” he confirmed on social media this week. It will be his first scripted visit to the flagship series since he exited in 2011 after contract negotiations faltered, ending a 12-season partnership with Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson that began with the show’s 1999 debut.

Late Friday the actor shared backstage selfies with Hargitay and original cast mate Dann Florek, writing that he was “hangin with friends” as cameras rolled on Season 27 in Manhattan. The post followed a playful exchange on X in which he told a fan he was “f—ing trying” to land the long-awaited Benson-Stabler kiss, a remark that quickly drew thousands of likes.

NBC has slated the new season’s launch for September 25 at 9 p.m. Et, keeping Svu at the center of...

Keanu Reeves' Cyperpunk Thriller Is Streaming Free Next Month
Image
Years before he was hooked up to The Matrix, Keanu Reeves starred in another pioneering cyberpunk thriller, and next month, you'll be able to stream it for free. Based on a story by William Gibson, whose seminal cyberpunk novel Neuromanceris about to get a long-awaited adaptation of its own on Apple TV+, Johnny Mnemonic will be available to stream on the free, ad-supported platform Pluto starting on August 1.

Johnny Mnemonic is set in the same fictional universe as Neuromancer, and shares a character, the cyborg "razorgirl" Molly Millions; in the adaptation, her cybernetic abilities have been toned down, and she's referred to only as "Molly." It was directed by video artist and music video director Robert Longo; it remains, to date, his only feature film. Gibson adapted his own 1981 short story; Johnny Mnemonic was the first of Gibson's works to be adapted for the screen. After numerous stops and starts,...

James Gunn's wild Rick and Morty adventure was hilarious and self-aware
Image
Seeing famous people make fun of themselves is a joy. It lets their fans know that they understand the criticism and can take a joke. You see this a lot on Rick and Morty. Performers like Ice-t (who played Magma-q), Logic, and Hugh Jackman (who both played themselves) have appeared in different episodes to make light of themselves. After watching the seventh episode of season 8 of Rick and Morty (titled "Ricker than Fiction"), it looks like this trend won’t end.

Rick gets annoyed with the franchise he loves called Maximum Velocitree and decides that he wants to speak to the manager. This leads to him, Morty, and Jerry visiting the creator, James Gunn. Despite Superman's upcoming release, Gunn gets in on the joke of the issue with comic book movies.

One of the first things that’s pointed out is Batman. James Gunn says that he’s a...

‘Squid Game’ Misses Its Shot by Turning VIP Oligarchs Into Cartoon Billionaires
Image
Beyond surreal set design, economic desperation and abundant tension, “Squid Game” became a breakthrough sensation by delivering relatable characters facing an extraordinary life-or-death scenario. But one area that broke down was its fleeting depiction of the game’s shadowy patrons, or VIPs, who the show loathes so unabashedly as to turn them into cartoon caricatures.

That early misstep gets magnified in the show’s third and final season, which lands at an opportune time in terms of tapping into fears about oligarchs exploiting the lower classes but makes the point in such heavy-handed fashion that it undermines its impact.

Given the cultural moment, the third season — while still possessing plenty of the requisite suspense and more visceral thrills — feels like a missed opportunity. By portraying the masked VIPs as such outlandish avatars of evil, “Squid Game” dilutes the deeper understanding of the world the Netflix series inhabits and makes drawing...

Ice-t's honest comments shed light on the impact her absence had, proving her departure was far more than just a plot twist.

‘Law & Order: Svu’ to Bring Back Kelli Giddish as Series Regular for Season 27
Image
Kelli Giddish is coming back to “Law & Order: Svu” as a series regular in Season 27, Variety has confirmed.

Giddish originally joined “Svu” back in its 13th season as detective Amanda Rollins. She remained with the show as a main cast member until midway through Season 24. It was explained on the show that Rollins had married Ada Sonny Carisi Jr and then taken a teaching position.

She has made returns to the show since, however, first as a guest star in the Season 24 finale and popping up in episodes in both Season 25 and 26. This marks her return to full-time status with the series.

Giddish has also played Rollins in “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: Organized Crime” as well as fellow Dick Wolf shows “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.”

She is repped by Untitled Entertainment and Goodman Genow.

“Svu” was renewed for another season along with “Law & Order” earlier in May.

Johnny Mnemonic (1995) – What Happened to This Sci-Fi Action Film?
Image
The episode of What Happened to This covering Johnny Mnemonic was Written and Edited by Jaime Vasquez, Narrated by Tyler Nichols, Produced by Andrew Hatfield and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.

The story of Johnny Mnemonic was one of the early standards of cyberpunk literature. And coming off the explosive success of Speed, Keanu Reeves took on the title role opposite Action icon Dolph Lundgren. The supporting cast was a solidly talented ensemble that included Ice-t, Henry Rollins, and a laser whip that cut right through characters, bones and all. So, how could this promising film adaptation die a death so pitiful that even Casper the friendly ghost would spit on its grave? How did too many cooks turn what was meant to be an arty tech noir film into an overcooked, underwhelming mess? And how did it lead to studios greenlighting The Matrix? I need to unload all this data,...

'Law & Order' and 'Law & Order: Svu' Both Renewed at NBC
Image
The Law & Order franchise is arguably one of the most successful police procedural crime dramas in television history. What began in 1990 with the original Law & Order, turned into decades of viewers watching episode after episode of investigations and apprehensions of suspects by seasoned detectives. Fast-forward to more than 30 years later, the original series and the first spin-off, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, are still going strong. And things are set to get even stronger, as NBC has decided to renew both.

According to Variety, the renewals will mark Law & Order's 25th and Svu's 27th seasons. They were the last in the Dick Wolf television universe to be renewed, as all three Chicago series are making a return. In addition, another series in the franchise is also in good standing. On Peacock, Law & Order: Organized Crime recently launched its fifth season. Fans can now relax,...

Law & Order Svu Season 26 Episode 21’s Rear Window-Inspired Case Delivers A Powerful Penultimate Episode
Image
Whew! Talk about a disturbing case.

After a mostly lackluster 26th season, the penultimate episode of Law & Order: Svu delivered a dark case that was impossible to look away from.

From beginning to end, this Hitchcockian case kept the audience guessing while the cops investigated a particular heinous crime.

(Ralph Bavaro/NBC) How The Cold Open Was Similar to the Classic Movie Rear Window

I’m thrilled that the cold open was actually short, rather than wasting 10 minutes before getting to the point.

Even better, it was a takeoff on the Hitchcock classic, Rear Window, that went in an even darker direction than the original.

Rear Window stars Jimmy Stewart as a housebound man who witnesses a murder by looking through a telescope at his neighbors’ windows to pass the time, just like the guy in the cold open.

NBC just delivered news that surprised no one, announcing the renewals of both Law & Order and Law & Order: Svu. As expected, the popular dramas will remain important pieces of the network’s primetime lineup.

Law & Order: Svu will return for season 27, while Law & Order was renewed for its 25th season. NBC didn’t confirm returning cast for either show, but it’s expected that Mariska Hargitay and Ice T will continue to lead the Svu cast. Unfortunately, Octavio Pisano (Det. Joe Velasco) and Juliana Aidén Martinez (Det. Kate Silva) will not be returning as series regulars. And the series will have a new showrunner when the new season begins production, with Michele Fazekas on board as the long-running drama’s first female showrunner.

‘Law & Order: Svu’ And ‘Law & Order’ Renewed For 2025-26 After Combined 50 Seasons On NBC
Image
Wolf Entertainment’s slate of NBC series will remain intact. Days after the network renewed the company’s three Chicago dramas, it has done the same for the two Law & Order ones, Law & Order: Svu and the mothership series.

Svu, headlined by Mariska Hargitay, will return for a record 27th season. Law & Order, which took a 12-year cancellation break, will be back for its 25th season. Both are having their best seasons on Peacock in total viewers in Live+35, having reached combined more than 44 million total viewers across linear and digital platforms this season.

The two Law & Order renewals were never in doubt: as Deadline reported exclusively, in anticipation of Svu‘s pickup, the series last month tapped Michele Fazekas as new showrunner, the first woman to run the veteran procedural.

Yet, like the One Chicago ones, the renewals were not straightforward and involved some cost-trimming, I hear,...

‘Law & Order,’ ‘Law & Order: Svu’ Renewed at NBC
Image
Both “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: Svu” have been renewed at NBC for the 2025-2026 broadcast season, Variety has learned.

With the renewals, “Law & Order” will return for its 25th season, while “Svu” will be back for its 27th. These are the last remaining Dick Wolf shows on broadcast awaiting word on new seasons. NBC previously renewed all three of the “One Chicago” shows, while CBS has canceled two of the Wolf Entertainment-produced “FBI” shows and ordered a new show in that franchise starring Tom Ellis.

Wolf Entertainment also has “Law & Order: Organized Crime” starring Christopher Meloni, which recently launched its fifth season on Peacock.

The cast of “Law & Order” includes Hugh Dancy, Tony Goldwyn, Odelya Halevi, Mehcad Brooks, Reid Scott, and Maura Tierney. Wolf executive produces along with Rick Eid, Pamela Wechsler, Alex Hall and Peter Jankowski.

‘Law & Order: Svu’: Octavio Pisano & Juliana Aidén Martinez to Exit After Season 26
Image
Should Law & Order: Svu return for Season 27, which seems likely, it will do so without two of its regular cast. Octavio Pisano, who has played Detective Joe Velasco since Season 23, and Juliana Aidén Martinez, who was introduced this year as Detective Kate Silva, will not be back as series regulars, Deadline reports. A reason has not been given for these exits, nor do we know if either could return in a guest star capacity next year. Shakeups in the squad aren’t new; only Mariska Hargitay, who stars as Captain Olivia Benson, has been with the show from the beginning. Ice-t (Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola) joined the series in Season 2. This isn’t the only change the series will see for a 27th season. A new showrunner will be ...

'Law & Order: Svu' Loses Two Series Regulars After Season 26
Image
Change is coming to the squad room. Juliana Martinez and Octavio Pisano will not return as series regulars on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit if and when the long-running NBC procedural is renewed for its 27th season, as per Deadline. Martinez joined the cast in Season 26 as Detective Kate Silva, while Pisano first appeared in Season 23 as Detective Joe Velasco, a former undercover operative with a complicated past. While NBC has yet to comment on the nature of their exits, sources suggest the decision may be tied to the broader wave of cost-cutting measures happening across the network’s slate of scripted dramas.

It’s not just Svu feeling the squeeze. NBCUniversal recently renewed its One Chicago franchise — Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med— but not without budget trims that have reportedly impacted cast size, episode count, and overall production costs. These changes are part of an...

Law & Order: Svu Shockingly Loses 2 Series Regulars
Image
The cast of Law & Order: Svu has suddenly gotten a little smaller, as it has just been revealed that two series regulars will not be returning if the show gets its renewal for Season 26.

Per Deadline, it's been reported that Juliana Martinez and Octavio Pisano are finished as series regulars on Law & Order: Svu. Pisano joined the show previously in Season 23 as undercover detective Joe Velasco, while Martinez joined more recently in the current season as Detective Kate Silva. It's not yet known why the two stars are simultaneously exiting Law & Order: Svu, making it unclear if this was due to budget cuts, creative reasons, or a mixture of both. It's not uncommon for actors to be written out of long-running shows, or to have their roles reduced, as part of an effort to reduce the costs of increasingly-expensive shows.

Octavio Pisano and Juliana Martinez to Exit ‘Law & Order: Svu’ After Season 26
Image
While “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” awaits a Season 27 pickup, it’s been revealed that Juliana Martinez and Octavio Pisano will not be returning if the show does get picked up.

Martinez joined the cast earlier this season as Detective Kate Silva, while Pisano joined in Season 23 as Detective Joe Velasco.

Last month, Michele Fazekas was named the new showrunner becoming the first female showrunner in the procedural’s history.

“Law & Order: Svu” was created by Dick Wolf and led by Mariska Hargitay, who portays Capt. Olivia Benson of the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit. It is the longest-running show in the “Law & Order” family, and stars Ice T, Peter Scanavino and Kevin Kane.

The series, which debuted in Tktk, was a spinoff of “Law & Order.” It also led to the spinoff “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” which streams on Peacock; “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med” and “Chicago P.D.,...

‘Law & Order: Svu’: Juliana Martinez & Octavio Pisano Leaving After Season 26
Image
Exclusive: Juliana Martinez and Octavio Pisano will not be returning to NBC’s Law & Order: Svu as series regulars if/when the procedural is picked up for a 27th season. Martinez joined the cast this season as Detective Kate Silva, while Pisano was added in Season 23 as undercover detective Joe Velasco.

It is unclear whether the decision was made for creative or financial reasons — or both. There has been a pattern of budget reductions currently underway across multiple NBC shows, impacting cast, episodes, and other areas ahead of renewal decisions leading up to the network’s upfront presentation on Monday.

It is as yet unknown if Martinez and Pisano’s characters will wrap up their storylines by the conclusion of Season 26. The season finale, “Post-Rage,” directed by Norberto Barba, will air on May 15.

The popular series, led by Mariska Hargitay as Olivia Benson, is fully expected to be renewed for a 27th season.

Chicago Fire and Law & Order stars teamed up for unexpected crossover (here's how)
Image
One Chicago and Law & Order exist in the same television universe. We have seen shows like Svu and Chicago Pd team up to solve especially tricky cases, and both franchises share a production studio, Wolf Entertainment. We did not expect, however, to get a covert team up between Ice-t of Svu fame and Taylor Kinney of Chicago Fire fame on Monday, April 21.

The two actors posed for photos together during an event for a New Jersey business called the Medicine Woman. Parade claims that Ice-t and Taylor Kinney are partners in the business, which is why both actors were in attendance. The latter confirmed this when he posted about his time with Kinney on Instagram.
