One Life to Live (1968)
To commemorate One Life to Live‘s 43-year-run, which comes to an end on Friday, Jan. 13, SOAPnet will spend New Year’s Day running a 14-hour marathon of episodes including some real oldies-but-goodies (meaning yes to Tina plunging over the Iguazu Falls but no Eterna jumpsuits).

The cabler’s playlist is as follows; give it a read, then tell us which episodes you’re most excited to revisit and/or single out any memorable-yet-mia hour you feel should have made the cut.

Thursday's One Life To Live: Pure Entertainment
One Life To Live has been on fire in recent months. The show has finished in the spot of our "Daytime Soap of the Week" poll for 15 straight weeks so fans seem to agree. Thursday's episode, the red carpet  and premiere for "Vicker Man: The David Vickers Buchanan Story," was a joy to watch. This is what daytime television has the ability to do - help us escape for an hour, make us anticipate what's going to happen next, and get us to care about the characters we are watching.

And the cast was perfect conveying the right emotions from both the comedic and dramatic angles of every situation. Robin Strasser played Dorian for all she was worth when Ionia showed up wearing the same dress (Dorian wore it best by the way!). As Ionia was being tossed out she threatened to call SAG and AFTRA. Strasser ad-libbed, "Call 'em.

Modern Family's Baby Lily Recast: 8 Big Ideas
Sofía Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sarah Hyland, Ed O'Neill, Eric Stonestreet, Beatrice the Dog, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez, Reid Ewing, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, and Jeremy Maguire in Modern Family (2009)
That which TVLine first told you about way back in February has come to fruition: Modern Family is pulling the trigger on a Lily recast, as Cam and Mitch’s bambino gets aged up a bit for Season 3. The casting call (cited by E! Online) seeks tykes to play “Asian, 3- to 4-year-old” Lily, but if you ask us, when dealing with a hit like Modern Family, there’s a primo opportunity here to widen the net and go big. For example….

News: ABC Says Watch To Keep Show On The Air, Kassie DePaiva
One Life To Live star from Union County, Ky., excited for career's 'next chapter'

"When I did get the part [of Blair] I was thrilled, but also a little bit shocked because I didn't think that I looked the part," said Kassie DePaiva, a native of Union County, Ky. The woman who held the role before her, Mia Korf, is Asian-American.

DePaiva is allowing herself "to go through the process of grieving the loss of the show," but is "also excited about the next chapter," she said.

"This has been an unbelievable experience for me, but it won't be the last thing on my resume, that's for sure," DePaiva said. "I'll continue to audition and then we'll just see where I land; I don't know."
