Following treatments for the malignancies, including the removal of her larynx, she died in Philadelphia on October 26, 1984 just 2 weeks after her 49th birthday. In accordance with her wishes, her body was donated for medical science to the Humanity Gifts Registry in Philadelphia.
  • Actively supported numerous charitable organizations and social welfare programs, including the Multiple Sclerosis Telethon, Reading for the Blind and Project Headstart.
