Cheryl Tiegs and Paulina Porizkova come clean for 'About Face: Supermodels Then and Now'
One of the year's most attractive documentaries is at hand.

"About Face: Supermodels Then and Now" makes its HBO debut Monday, July 30, after showings at this year's Sundance and L.A. Film Festivals. Christie Brinkley, Cheryl Tiegs, Paulina Porizkova, Carol Alt, Beverly Johnson, Isabella Rossellini, Kim Alexis, Christy Turlington Burns, Lisa Taylor, Marisa Berenson and Jerry Hall are among the models who give filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders ("The Black List") their thoughts on their industry past, present and future.

"I don't dwell on my career a lot," Tiegs tells Zap2it about re-examining her past for the project. "I am usually thinking forward, and certainly thinking of today. The nicest thing about doing the documentary was to catch up and see some old friends I hadn't seen for a long time.

"When I was modeling," Tiegs says, "I reached the point -- and most girls who rise to the top...

Dancing with the Stars season 7 winner Brooke Burke had been tapped to take on hosting duties from Kim Alexis on the upcoming third season of TV Land's She's Got the Look. Burke, 38, who won Dancing with the Stars with Derek Hough, will replace the supermodel when the show begins production for its third season next week in Los Angeles. Its second season last summer was filmed in New York City.

In fact more changes are afoot on the 35-and-over modeling reality show, as reporter Roshumba Williams is replacing supermodel Beverly Johnson for a place on the show's judging panel. Celebrity stylist Robert Verdi and Wilhelmina president Sean Patterson will still be there.

'She's Got the Look' Laurie explains her meltdown Videos
TV Land's hit series, She's Got the Look," veered into the twilight zone last week when Laurie, a 42 year old contestant who was competing, went bonkers in front of the judges. It was the June 18 episode of the show which saw Laurie begging to be one of the two contestants eliminated that night. Laurie immediately faced off with show host Kim Alexis, who she later describes in the video "explanation" of her behavior, as "65 pounds off her ideal weight" and "a hypocrite" as she peeled off her top trying to be eliminated. Laurie said in the video blog that she prayed to God who then told her to be "transparent," hence the lack of artifice and makeup...

Laurie Explains 'She's Got the Look' Strip Off Scene
The model contestant participating in the second season of "She's Got the Look", Laurie, has revealed her reason for stripping off in front of the judging panel and national television. The 42-year-old model said in the video blog that she prayed to God who then told her to be "transparent".

On June 18 episode of the show, Laurie begged to be one of the two contestants eliminated that night. To reach her goal, she showed the judges how vulnerable she can be and then took off her top. Guest judge Rachel Hunter said it was the most bizarre thing that she had ever experienced.

Apparently it was planned by Laurie since the morning of the elimination day. "I woke up that morning and I told the girls, 'I'm going out in my work out gear, no make up, this is who I am, this is what I do everyday and I'm...

Video: Laurie Took Off Her Top on 'She's Got the Look'
Judges of modeling competition show "She's Got the Look" got an early surprise from one of its contestants on the second episode of season 2. The TV Land series had its first elimination round on June 18 but one model voluntarily walked out of the competition before first stripping naked and begging to be let go.

Laurie is a 42-year-old from Dallas who has been constantly showing over-the-top personality. She describes herself as "renaissance, maverick, iconoclast, catalyst and revolutionary" and her belief is to redefine beauty as "a holistic approach to healthy living."

Throughout the competition, apparently she had a meltdown that she wanted to quit. Before the judges announced two people who were not going to make it to the next round, Laurie told them to make it simple by choosing her. And when the judges tried to talk to her, she took her top off, much to the other contestants and judges' shock.

"She's Got the Look" Makes Lesbians Look Good
This Thursday night, cable channel TV Land (one of the many channels owned by Viacom, which also owns this website) premieres the second season of She's Got the Look — a modeling competition for women over 35 — with a lesbian among the contestants.

Hosted by Kim Alexis, the competition is judged by Beverly Johnson, Robert Verdi, and Sean Patterson, and follows a familiar format: each episode contains photo and runway challenges, one contestant is eliminated at the end of the episode, and the final model left standing receives a contract with Wilhelmina Models, a photo spread in Self Magazine, and $100,000.

The primary difference between this show, The CW's America's Next Top Model and Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel is the average age of the contestants, which is about 20 years older than the contestants on other modeling shows.

This translates to more grammatically correct sentences, a little less gushing, and slightly better behavior.
