Tim Daly never wore the cape, but for an entire generation of fans, he was Superman. Before Henry Cavill’s jawline dominated screens or David Corenswet suited up for James Gunn’s reboot, there was Superman: The Animated Series, a Saturday morning staple from 1996 to 2000. Over 54 episodes, Daly voiced Clark Kent with just the right blend of old-school charm and unwavering resolve. And now, at 69, the actor says he’s ready to step back into the recording booth. “I’m hopeful that I might get another chance at some point to voice Superman,” Tim Daly said. The revelation came during an interview with Woman’s World, and for long-time fans of the animated DC universe, this is the equivalent of someone finding Christopher Reeve’s cape in the attic and asking, “Do you think it still fits?” Image Credit: Warner Bros. Netflix’s Leanne starts out following a woman in her 50s, starting fresh after a bitter divorce, but throughout the 16 episodes of its first season, it presents something much more grounded and emotionally rewarding.
While she muddles her way through heartbreak, spinsterhood, and middle-age mayhem, the series finale takes her far from where she started: from loss and bewilderment to certainty and emotional resolution. Netflix’s new sitcom Leanne, starring comedian Leanne Morgan and co‑created with Chuck Lorre, debuted its first 16‑episode season on July 31, 2025, with the entire season dropping globally. However, for those of you wondering when a second season will be released, unfortunately, it hasn’t been renewed for Season 2 yet.
Starring Morgan as a sitcom matriarch, the series is a show full of laughter, disguised as a coping mechanism. While a second season’s yet to be announced, Morgan already knows what she’ll be doing if it is renewed: make out more with her husband, Chuck Morgan. In a recent interview with Glamour, the actress hilariously explained:
I didn’t know how to kiss Tim Daly. I kissed his bottom teeth by accident! And it was because I don’t make out enough with Chuck Morgan. We’ve been married for a hundred years. So I need to make out with Chuck Morgan more.

Offbeat yet family-centered, “Leanne” doubles down on the Southern wit and candid conversation around well-lived womanhood that has made comedian Leanne Morgan a standup sensation.
Co-created with Chuck Lorre, whose sitcom track record with “Two and a Half Men,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Mom,” and more has earned him the tag “King of Sitcoms,” the 16-episode comedy has a new beginnings twist. After 33 years of marriage, Leanne’s husband Bill (Ryan Lee Stiles) suddenly leaves her for a younger woman, forcing her to rethink her life as a now single grandmother in menopause.
With her parents Daddy John (Blake Clark) and Mama Margaret (Celia Weston) still together, divorce is a hard state for Leanne but well-worn territory for her sister Carol (Kristen Johnston) who becomes her rock. As Carol encourages her big sister to get out there, Leanne’s life takes unexpected turns. From their small community discovering the scandalous...

Netflix’s Leanne opens with a devastating loss. As the series gets underway, its eponymous heroine (played by Leanne Morgan) is just hours into processing the news that her husband, Bill (Ryan Stiles), has decided to leave her for another woman — thus upending the very foundation of the life she’s built over the past 33 years as his devoted wife, occasional business partner and doting mother of their two now-grown children.
Leanne, understandably, is furious and heartbroken. Leanne, however, feels anything but. Co-created by sitcom king Chuck Lorre with Morgan and Susan McMartin, the sitcom veers more sweet than bitter, more fizzy than heavy, more focused on the comedic possibilities of Leanne’s wide-open future than the poignant memories of her past. If it’s rarely hilarious, it’s pleasant in a sturdy, old-fashioned way, with a back-to-basics reliance on likable characters and approachable chemistry over topical jokes or formal experimentation.

My expectations for Leanne were somewhat conflicted given its status as a Chuck Lorre sitcom. On the one hand, I love sitcoms. Shows like Parks and Rec, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, or even older sitcoms like Seinfeld rank among some of my favorite television series of all time. I truly believe that the sitcom format is one of the most brilliant creations of the television medium, and I find them to be consistently reliable comfort viewing if nothing else.
On the other hand, I’m not exactly a huge fan of Chuck Lorre’s particular style. I’ve always found Two and a Half Men to be insufferable, and while I have a bit of a nostalgic soft spot for the early seasons of The Big Bang Theory, I will be the first to admit that the series has aged like milk. This series ends up somewhere in the middle of that spectrum.

“I’m a church-going grandmama from the south who is in menopause with a weak pelvic floor,” comedian Leanne Morgan laughingly told us in her sweet, Tennessee accent on the set of her new multi-cam sitcom premiering July 31. That kind of real talk made Morgan’s “I’m Every Woman” Netflix stand-up special a hit – so much of a hit that the streamer ordered two more of those specials, plus these 16 scripted episodes produced by the legendary Chuck Lorre. On Leanne, Morgan plays a fictionalized version of herself, a 60-something Knoxvillian restarting her life after hubs/college sweetheart, Bill (Ryan Stiles), leaves her for another woman. Younger, wilder sis Carol helps Leanne put down the lasagna, get out of bed, deal with her adult kids and aging parents, and start dating. Morgan says, “I have a love interest with Tim Daly. The weeks he’s here, I eat Altoids and lose weight.

A robustly enjoyable story involving a son seeking revenge on a sheriff who framed his father for murder, a fake priest, local thugs and a stash of stolen gold
From the moment he flashes a shit-eating grin at a man on the gallows, Samuel L Jackson makes a fine western antagonist here, if not quite rising to the heights of his blanket-blackmail sex act in The Hateful Eight. The fellow about to swing is Isaac Broadway (Tim Daly), who manages to communicate to his onlooking son Henry (Brandon Lessard) that he should seek revenge on one Sheriff Butler, who framed him for murder. But when Henry corners a different lawman, Gabriel Dove (Pierce Brosnan), in a church in the Montana town of Trinity, he learns that someone got to the previous sheriff first.

Fans loved David Corenswet as the new Superman, but the iconic suit comes with its list of rules that one has to follow. And here’s a cautionary tale he might want to hear, straight from The Sopranos actor Tim Daly. The actor voiced Superman in the beloved Superman: The Animated Series, but when the follow-up show Justice League came around, he was nowhere to be seen.
Why? Well, it was all because of a joke that sounded funny in Daly’s head but sent Warner Bros. into a major panic. While being interviewed by Al Roker on Comic Book Central, the actor explained what it’s like voicing Superman, especially all the groans and grunts in fight scenes. Then he said:
Come to think of it, it’s a little disconcerting to think the children of America have a pretty good idea what I sound like in bed.

Happy Superman Day! Today, the skies of cinema are looking bright. While the exhaustive search for the next Man of Steel concluded some time ago with the casting of David Corenswet in James Gunn’s upcoming Warner Bros. Superman, we can still celebrate the enduring legacy of the hero today. Rachel Brosnahan joins him in the role of the intrepid Lois Lane.

The new Superman movie is now playing in theaters everywhere, but a Superman star from another project just shed some light on why he thinks the character has been such a success. It’s no secret that Superman is easily one of the most recognizable comic book figures ever — the Kryptonian stands alone at the top with other titans like Spider-Man and Batman, three wildly different characters. One of the things that makes Superman — and Spider-Man, for that matter — so relatable is his humanity. Although he’s an alien from another planet who can stop a speeding bullet and lift an entire building, Superman is still a human who has experienced the same challenges the rest of us.

James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ is all set to make its big screen debut, but like every other iteration, it owes a lot to the foundation set by ‘Superman: The Animated Series’. The animated show came on the heels of ‘Batman: The Animated Series’, which defined the Caped Crusader for years to come.
Though not as popular as Batman: Tas, ‘Superman’ did some incredible things with the character, and Tim Daly’s performance has become the definitive version of Kal-El. Clancy Brown’s Lex Luthor and Dana Delany’s Lois Lane were also praised. As Gunn kickstarts his Dcu on the big screen, here are ten episodes from ‘Superman: The Animated Series’ that will give more context to who Superman and other characters are.

Leanne Morgan is trying to keep her head above water in the debut trailer for her upcoming Netflix series, Leanne. The sitcom will center around the titular character whose world is flipped upside down after her husband, Bill (Ryan Stiles), leaves her for a younger woman. The latest title to have The Big Bang Theory and Dharma & Greg co-creator Chuck Lorre’s name attached looks like it will mix all the best themes from similar titles like Reba and Roseanne, while allowing the stand-up comedian to step into the spotlight and hold up her own show alongside a stacked and familiar ensemble that includes Kristen Johnson (3rd Rock From the Sun), Celia Weston (The Talented Mr. Ripley), Blake Clark (Boy Meets World), and more.
The debut trailer for Leanne welcomes audiences to the world of its protagonist, as she sits on her bed and grieves for the ending of her marriage.

“Supported by her family, including her ride-or-die sister Carol (Kristen Johnston), Leanne learns to embrace the chaos and finds strength, laughter and hope in the most unexpected places,” Netflix’s story description reads. “This heartfelt comedy proves that it’s never too late to rewrite your story.”

Chuck Lorre’s latest multi-cam is bypassing broadcast television and going straight to streaming: Netflix’s Leanne will premiere Thursday, July 31 — and all 16 (!) episodes will drop at once.
The half-hour comedy, which Lorre co-created with Susan McMartin (Mom, Two and a Half Men) and stand-up comedian Leanne Morgan, casts Morgan as… well, Leanne! In the show, “Leanne’s life takes an unexpected turn when Bill, her husband of 33 years (played by Two and a Half Men’s Ryan Stiles) leaves her for another woman,” according to the official logline. “Starting over when you’re a grandmother and in menopause isn...

One of the worst feelings is getting invested in a television show only for it to get canceled well before its prime, leaving piles and piles of loose ends, countless cliffhangers, and unresolved plots. There are several variables for why television shows or series are canceled, from low viewership numbers to high filming costs.
While we do not know for certain if the following Netflix shows will be canceled this year, the chances, in our opinion, seem rather high. Some on our list may surprise you, but if there's one thing we know for certain about television show endings, they are often unexpected.
The Watcher
Believe it or not, but The Watcher is based on a true story, or a true nightmare if you will, about the Broaddus family moving into a new home only to be plagued by letters from an unknown stalker, The Watcher. The show ends without...

Samuel L. Jackson is the most successful actor of all time measured purely in terms of the amount of money his movies have brought in at the box office. From his continued work as Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to cinematic classics like "Pulp Fiction," audiences have turned up to see him do his thing on the big screen for decades. Unfortunately, his latest cinematic foray didn't arrive with the level of fanfare he's accustomed to.
Directed by Richard Gray, Roadside Attractions' "The Unholy Trinity" opened this past weekend at the box office, though one would be forgiven for not noticing. It grossed just $559,610 on 771 screens, making for a downright terrible $725 per-screen average. For context, "How to Train Your Dragon" brought in $83.7 million on 4,356 screens for a $19,214 per-screen average. While nobody was expecting this Western to do DreamWorks business, the end result leaves much to be desired for all involved.

The new action western starring Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson hit theaters this week, promising a return-to-form for a genre that has churned out Yellowstone-lite projects over the past few years. However, it appears that critics have not been impressed with the gun-toting effort. Brosnan and Jackson combine for a formidable on-screen duo in the revenge tale, but it is their endless charm and charisma could not keep the new western outside of critics' line of sight.
Now playing in select theaters, The Unholy Trinity is an old-fashioned western film about a young man seeking revenge for the wrongful execution of his father. However, despite leaning on the period elements of the genre, it appears it did not wow critics. The film currently has a 21% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 14 reviews. Most critics felt underwhelmed by the film's "uninspired action," while others still found some positives about the...

By sheer coincidence, I watched “The Unholy Trinity” in the midst of binging on the 1950s and ’60s B-Westerns starring Audie Murphy, while preparing an article keyed to the centennial of the late actor and World War II hero. And I must say I was pleasantly surprised, and frequently delighted, to see how much filmmaker Richard Gray has captured the spirit and excitement of those unpretentious productions in his own sagebrush saga.
Indeed, devoted fans of the Murphy movies — especially the more, ahem, mature viewers — likely will be willing to overlook some of the messy violence and salty language to relish this trip in the wayback machine. The Unholy Trinity is yet another example of the growing market for low-budget Westerns in recent years. Whether it’s the result of streaming platforms hungry for content or aging stars chasing one last lead role before riding off into the sunset, the demand clearly exists.
We’ve seen the good, the bad (The Old Way), and the ugly (Rust), and The Unholy Trinity lands somewhere in between. It’s a mixed bag of engaging and flat performances, plot points that swing from profound to downright bizarre, and violence that’s more gratuitous than gripping.
Ultimately, The Unholy Trinity feels like blasphemy against a once-great Hollywood genre.

If you're still reeling from the explosive finale of MobLand Season 1, you're not alone — Pierce Brosnan is right there with you. The actor, who plays the razor-sharp but increasingly cornered, angry Irish crime boss Conrad Harrigan, says he hasn’t been told what comes next. And that’s exactly how he likes it. Speaking with Collider's Taylor Gates alongside Samuel L. Jackson— his co-star in the upcoming Western The Unholy Trinity — Brosnan was asked what he hopes to see if MobLand is renewed for a second season. He noted that he had no idea where the story would be going, only stating that he had his own ideas which he had yet to share with the show's creative minds:
“I honestly don't know what's going to happen. I have some ideas in my head, but I have not expressed those to Guy Ritchie or to Jez Butterworth or Ronan Bennett,...

Samuel L. Jackson has a proposal for a saloon full of owlhoots in a new Collider-exclusive sneak peek from The Unholy Trinity. However, they may not be too interested in listening. The Western thriller also stars Pierce Brosnan and will be released by Roadside Attractions on June 13. In our sneak peek, Jackson plays the mysterious man known only as St. Christopher; as only Jackson can, he strolls into a dusty saloon and orders a whiskey. There, he notes that one of his fellow customers is looking considerably worse for wear...and when her brother calls him out on it, St. Christopher wonders why the man isn't busy cutting the throat of the man who roughed up his sister.
After theatrically downing his drink, he addresses the rest of the bar's patrons. The bar doesn't seem particularly friendly to outsiders, and especially not to those of St. Christopher's race, and...

Netflix just made a big decision on the release of Chuck Lorre’s new sitcom, that’s much needed for the series!
In the world of TV sitcoms, Chuck Lorre is one of the biggest names around. His record speaks for itself: Roseanne, Cybil, Dharma & Greg, Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, Mike & Molly, Mom, Young Sheldon, and more. The man is a master of crafting fun comedies for viewers to watch, most of them on CBS.
Lorre has moved a bit toward Netflix in the last few years, creating the acclaimed The Kominsky Method and the underrated Disjointed. So, the word he was crafting a new comedy for the streamer got attention.
What was notable about Leanne was that Netflix gave the series a whopping 16-episode first season order. That’s a rare move for the streamer to show how confident they were in Lorre’s work.

Netflix has shared a first look at Leanne, a new comedy series starring Leanne Morgan and co-created by Susan McMartin, Chuck Lorre, and Morgan. All 16 episodes of the series will premiere globally on Netflix on July 31.
In the series, Leanne’s life takes an unexpected turn when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. Starting over when you’re a grandmother and in menopause isn’t exactly what she had in mind, but with the help of her family, she will navigate this new chapter with grace, dignity, and jello salad.
For Morgan, the series is a childhood dream realized. “I can’t believe it has come true!” the comedian said. “When I started comedy 25 years ago, my goal was to be a part of a sitcom. It just goes to show you it’s never too late, and dreams do come true. I’m a grandmama from Tennessee,...

Netflix is coming in hot with its latest original sitcom, as the streamer has unveiled the first batch of images for its upcoming series, Leanne. With a logline that will remind audiences of iconic shows of yesteryear such as Reba and Roseanne, the project follows its titular character, (played by comedian Leanne Morgan), after she’s forced to start life over again thanks to her husband of 33 years leaving her for another woman. The fresh start is certainly a rude awakening for the grandmother who’s well into menopause, but after she shakes off the blues and grabs life by the horns, she finds that she’s going to be more than okay — especially with the safety net of loved ones helping her out along the way.

Netflix Is Removing A Fan-Favorite Political Series (Photo Credit – Netflix)
Netflix is saying goodbye to one of its most gripping political dramas, Madam Secretary, with all six seasons set to vanish from the platform on May 15 (per Mirror). It’s a tough pill for fans to swallow, especially considering this show has quietly built a legacy as one of television’s most tightly written and powerfully acted series.

Trailer: Samuel L. Jackson and Pierce Brosnan head to Montana for revenge western The Unholy Trinity
If there’s one guy I want to see in more westerns, it’s Samuel L. Jackson. Fortunately, he’s got a pretty solid-looking one lined up; even better, we have the first trailer for Unholy Trinity.
In the trailer, we’re immediately introduced to Jackson’s St. Christopher, who sits with Brandon Lessard’s Henry Broadway, who tells him he’s is headed to the town of Trinity to get revenge on those responsible for his father’s death. Once Broadway enters town limits, he meets Pierce Brosnan’s Sheriff Dove, who immediately recognizes the name and warns the boy to not tell anyone else about his ancestry. As it turns out, St. Christopher also knew Mr. Broadway quite well, having had a history of stealing gold with him.

Samuel L. Jackson and Pierce Brosnan lead The Unholy Trinity, a Western set in 1870s Montana, scheduled for theatrical release on June 13. The film, directed by Richard Gray, follows a high-stakes conflict involving revenge, deception, and missing gold.
Jackson plays St. Christopher, a guarded figure tied to the central mystery, while Brosnan takes on the role of Gabriel Dove, a newly appointed sheriff whose past complicates his position in the remote town of Trinity. Brandon Lessard plays Henry Broadway, a young man sent by his father, Isaac (Tim Daly), to carry out a final request before execution: track down and kill the man who framed him for a crime he did not commit.
Henry’s arrival in Trinity puts him between two opposing forces. Dove offers stern counsel: “Keep your ancestry between us. Not every man who is known is loved.” Meanwhile, St. Christopher reveals a deeper connection to Henry’s late father.
