As Netflix ramps up promotion for season two of One Piece, it is also getting fans excited for season three, tacking on a brief plug for the now-confirmed episodes. Season two of One Piece still doesn’t have a confirmed release date, but will hit Netflix sometime in 2026. Prior to that, filming on season three will beginning in Cape Town, South Africa later this year. “One Piece” is setting sail once again, with the live-action adaptation of the beloved manga and anime series getting an early Season 3 renewal at Netflix.

The news came out of the annual One Piece Day celebration on Tokyo, where it was also revealed that Ian Stokes would be joining Joe Tracz as co-showrunner on Season 3. Stokes was previously a co-executive producer on Season 1. Production on the third season will begin later this year in Cape Town, South Africa.

“One Piece” Season 2 does not have a premiere date, but it is slated to return in 2026 on Netflix. The streamer has also released several first look images from the new season, which can be seen below.

Additionally, Netflix announced that Ian Stokes will join Joe Tracz as co-showrunner on season three, which is set to begin filming later this year. The drop features five detailed sets that recreate the show’s most iconic ships and locations, and features an impressive lineup of minifigures. One of the most eagerly anticipated seasons of a television series is the second season of Netflix's live-action adaptation of One Piece. While filming has already wrapped, audiences will have to wait until 2026 before Season 2 premieres. The coming season puts the focus back on Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his crew, as they continue to sail across the Grand Line, where new friends and foes await. The Straw Hat crew will come into conflict with the antagonist group Baroque Works, with David Dastmalchian portraying a high-ranking member named Mr. 3. In an interview with ScreenRant, Dastmalchian explained what to expect from his character in Season 3.

"So Mr. 3, even though he's Mr. 3 in the Baroque Works, he's going to be No. 1 in your hearts," Dastmalchian tells the outlet. "He shoots candle wax out of his hands. As far as I know, I think it's the only place that he shoots out of.

“Futurama” is heading back from the future. Exec producer David X. Cohen revealed that next year’s season finale will explore more of the backstory of Fry and his brother as kids. “We are going to work work that gold mine a little bit more next year, 2026,” he told the audience at the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel on Saturday.

As a young actress, Applegate was navigating her mother’s cancer battle, and the atmosphere on set wasn’t helping. “I wasn’t into like sarcasm and shit-talking and negativity,” she told Sagal. “I kind of felt like I didn’t belong, really, with everybody.”

After a year of keeping fans eagerly awaiting another entertaining chapter, Hulu has finally provided an update concerning what’s next for the long-running Futurama. The over-two-decade-old sitcom was renewed by the streamer in November 2023 for two more broadcast seasons, which will air through 2026. One of those seasons is scheduled for later this year, as recently confirmed, with Hulu announcing the premiere date for Futurama Season 13, but with a well-deserved twist.

Created by Matt Groening for Fox originally, Futurama’s previous run lasted from July 29 to September 30, 2024. The comedy will now return this fall, on September 15 at 8/7c. Christina Applegate and Katey Sagal, who played Kelly and Peggy respectively, spoke about the Married... With Children off-camera atmosphere on an episode of Sagal's podcast, Pie, via Entertainment Weekly. It wasn't always amicable. Applegate remembered feeling like she never fit in, because of all the "sarcasm and s**t-talking and negativity."

Hulu is bringing back the binge release this September. The streamer has announced that all 10 episodes of Futurama Season 13 will be released on the same day.

Per Deadline, Hulu will release the entirety of Futurama Season 13 on Sept. 15, a noticeable shift in how the streamer has previously been releasing new episodes of the animated revival. When the revival returned for its eleventh and twelfth seasons in 2023 and 2024, respectively, episodes were released weekly. New episodes of Futurama were all released weekly during the show's Fox and Cartoon Network eras. Another release change coming with Season 13 is that Futurama will also be available on Hulu on Disney+ and Fxx.

Hulu has also released the logline for Futurama Season 13, which reads as follows: "Bender is rampaging out of control! A volcano is about to explode! Fry confronts a rival for Leela’s love! And Dr. Zoidberg is rising up to heaven?! The excitement might be too much!

“Futurama” has aired in many places, in many forms. After airing its initial run on Fox, the adult animated series eventually transitioned to Comedy Central, then to straight-to-dvd films and, most recently, weekly Hulu releases.

In the era of nonstop reboots and revivals, there have long been plans to bring back the hit comedy series Married... with Children. An animated revival series has been in the works for several years with all of the original show's lead stars on board to reprise their roles.

However, this particular revival was not meant to be, according to the latest update on the project. Per TVLine, it's been revealed that the project has officially been scrapped, no longer in active development. The good news is that the IP "remains very important to Sony Pictures Television," and classic episodes remain available for streaming on platforms like Hulu and Pluto TV. Perhaps that means the door is still open for something like a one-off revival special, if nothing else, even if that seems unlikely at this point.

If the animated show went forward, it would have brought Christina Applegate back to acting.

Two years ago, the animated revival of the beloved sitcom, Married… With Children, was said to be in development with the original cast attached to return, including Katey Sagal,Ed O’Neill, Christina Applegate, and David Faustino. Later in 2023, Applegate confirmed that the group remained attached to the project, but since then, nothing further has been shared until now. One of the most iconic sitcoms of the late 80s and 90s, Married… with Children, is seeing a bit of an influx in popularity on streaming. Having made its debut on April 5th, 1987, the increase in interest in the show comes 38 years after its initial release.

There was also an issue with the film's SFX, as the studio couldn't afford to hire Industrial Light & Magic, forcing them to hire a cheaper replacement at the last minute. It also suffered from a bad script conceived of by Shatner himself. One of the stipulations of his contract dictated that he would take a lower salary on "Star Trek IV" if he got to direct and write a treatment for "Star Trek V." What he came up with, though, wasn't terribly polished.

Netflix's live-action One Piece adaptation is returning for a highly anticipated Season 2 next year, but fans of the hit pirate series can set sail with their favorite crew sooner rather than later. Lego is finally bringing the Straw Hat Pirate crew to the toyline, and iconic sets have been recreated in blocky form.

Lego unveiled a handful of new sets for One Piece, which feature Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of his crew on the Going Merry, as well as other instantly recognizable locations and beloved characters. In addition to the main pirate ship, fans can purchase sets for Arlong Park, Windmill Village, Buggy the Clown's Circus Tent, and the Baratie. Season two of One Piece live action has been in the making for quite some time now. With updates trickling in slowly since production began in July last year, Netflix has been keeping its highly anticipated show quite under wraps. However, the Ott platform answered a few questions during its Tudum event on June 1, 2025.

One Piece season 2 will be released on Netflix sometime in 2026. At the event, Netflix also announced a new character this season – Tony Tony Chopper. Voiced by Mikaela Hoover, this tiny character was introduced via a short teaser video. Hoover also took the facial capture of Chopper.

Netflix Introduces Chopper From The Live-Action One Piece Season 2

In the 88-second-long teaser video, Chopper hides behind a pole in an indoor room. Chopper is shy, nervous, and slips down the steps before revealing the release timeline for the next season.

Sophie Turner is starring in a new thriller and the trailer is going to have your heart racing!

The 29-year-old actress is leading the cast of the upcoming movie Trust, directed by Scream TV series actress Carlson Young.

Netflix may have thrown a bucket of water on One Piece fans by revealing that the highly anticipated Season 2 of the live-action series is only debuting in 2026, but the streamer decided to fast-track the merch that comes associated with the new character that was unveiled at Tudum last weekend.

One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda has shared his reaction to the long-awaited reveal of Tony Tony Chopper in the upcoming second installment of Netflix's popular live-action series. In December 2024, Oda visited the show's set in South Africa, where the cast and crew were filming Season 2.

Oda expressed his excitement about Chopper’s live-action debut in a post shared by the Netflix Anime X account. The beloved mangaka also praised the creative team who are responsible for bringing the fan-favorite character to life. "The key to Season 2 is, of course, our weird talking animal," he wrote. "After extensive trial and refinement by the entire team, the day has come to finally unveil him!! Two months after wrapping production, Netflix has finally revealed who is starring as the character of Tony Tony Chopper in the live-action version of One Piece.

Mikaela Hoover, who has featured in Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad, will voice the character and will do the facial capture.
