Greatness Code is a multi-season sports docuseries and there is an easy way to stream the show for free. Sports documentaries may be one of the most popular genres of documentary. Thanks in part to ESPN's 30 for 30 series, sports documentaries have been an ever-present part of the cable landscape, and now they've moved onto streaming. HBO and Netflix have long been the sports doc champs with Drive to Survive, Hard Knocks, and Last Chance U, providing fascinating and sometimes moving insights into the worlds of professional and semi-professional sports.
Apple TV+ is a new streaming platform on the scene and though it's often behind its contemporaries when it comes to producing content, what it does end up producing has steadily been increasing in quality. They began dabbling in sports documentaries with Greatness Code, a short-form sports documentary series that premiered in 2020, with the second season coming in 2022. Each episode...

This was definitely a huge feat given that she faced 42 casting rejections before the British fashion designer got her on board. Soon she started walking for major designers and became one of the highest-paid models in no time.

Tamayo Perry was a prodigy in the realm of acting and surfing; he was passionately dedicated to his craft. The actor has played several roles in numerous films, such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Blue Crush. Although the actor did not play prominent roles in either film, he had established himself as an extra with significant acting prowess.

However, his love for surfing ran deeper than acting, as he was a lifeguard and a surf instructor. Perry was considered to be one of the best surf instructors, and it was his experience on the sea and his near-death experiences that made him so qualified as an instructor. However, his life was cut short after he became a victim of a shark attack in Hawaii.

Make or Break is back for another season, continuing to follow some of the world's best surfers as they compete for the World Championship title. The show offers new levels of access to the sport's top competitors including 11-time champion Kelly Slater, 8-time champ Stephanie Gilmore, and 3-time championship winner Gabriel Medina. Make or Break not only strives to raise the bar for how the physical act of surfing is filmed, but also shine a light on the physical and mental obstacles faced by the athletes themselves.

There aren’t that many key takeaways from Ryan White’s Netflix documentary Pamela, a love story, but perhaps the most important is this: Pamela Anderson knows what she’s doing.

January is ending with a pair of Anderson-centric projects — Pamela, a love story and the unrelated (but totally related) memoir Love, Pamela — released with the common narrative that pop culture in general and the media in specific treated Pamela Anderson salaciously, getting hung up on her body and her dating life and, eventually, on her stolen sex tape, in the process negating her genuine voice. Julia Roberts broke the glass ceiling for A-list female movie stars when she commanded 20 million for 2000’s “Erin Brockovich.” Until then, no woman actor had been getting as much pay as male counterparts such as Tom Cruise or Tom Hanks, who ruled the ’90s box office alongside Roberts.
At Saturday’s A+E Networks and History Channel’s History Talks in Washington D.C., moderator Gayle King asked Roberts about the negotiation tactics she employed to gain equal pay.
“I didn’t feel so boxish about it, but I felt like, ‘Come on,” Roberts said. “Which is my nature — not to be all up-in-arms about something, but to say, ‘Let’s get real. Let’s be fair.'”
Roberts acknowledged that she’d earned her paycheck, having carried such culture-defining hits as “Pretty Woman,” “Notting Hill” and “My Best Friend’s Wedding.”
“When I’m working, I work very hard,” Roberts said.

IANSScreengrab/ YouTubeThe coming-of-age comedy-drama Coda and Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi epic Dune emerged as the biggest winners at the recently-concluded 94th Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 27. The event was hosted by Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes. Indian documentary Writing With Fire was nominated for Best Documentary but did not win the award. Dune bagged six awards, all in technical categories, while Coda made Oscar history by winning the awards in all three categories it was nominated in. It also became the first film from a major streaming platform -- Apple TV -- to bag the prestigious award of Best Picture, becoming thereby the first official nod from the Academy to the tectonic shift taking place in the entertainment industry because of the rise of...

Oscar co-host Wanda Sykes referred to the Oscars as an evening “where movie lovers unite and watch TV.” The joke was a sobering reminder that the Academy Awards are, above all else, a TV show. Producer Will Packer intended to create a spectacle but most of that effort was in vain. After a promising start, viewers were rewarded with one bad decision after another, resulting in a disappointing ceremony lifted only by the winners’ speeches.

Reuniting stars from classic movies has been an Oscar tradition, creating memorable moments like Bonnie and Clyde‘s Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announcing the wrong Best Picture winner at the 2017 ceremony.
This year’s producers took that to another level with four big reunions — The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, White Men Can’t Jump and Juno — among the presenters at the 2022 Academy Awards. While the first two were somewhat overshadowed by Will Smith slapping Chris Rock just moments earlier, the reunions still delivered an emotional punch and multiple standing ovations.

Fans of the Oscars knew when the evening started that the 94th Annual Academy Awards would be one of the most controversial ceremonies in many years. But needless to say, we had absolutely no idea what we were in for. This was easily the weirdest Oscars ceremony in years, and not, sadly, in a way anyone would ever want repeated.
Before the Oscars even began, longtime enthusiasts were fuming over the Academy’s awkward and unnecessary attempt to speed up the show by announcing eight winners in the hour before the official start time, while the red carpet was still being aired. Viewers could watch Jason Momoa getting interviewed on ABC about how excited he was to give out the awards while, simultaneously, watching him actually give out those exact same awards on cellphone footage on Twitter.

There are shocking moments at every Academy Awards ceremony, though no one could have predicted just how dramatic things would get this year after Will Smith took umbrage to a joke Chris Rock made about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
But in the end, there were very few surprises throughout the night, with most of the top awards going to the predicted frontrunners, particularly in the acting categories, which matched the SAG Awards wins. Apple made history by being the first streaming service to win best picture with “Coda,” which also won best adapted screenplay and best supporting actor for Troy Kotsur — who goes into the record books as the first deaf winner in the category.

To be fair, the 2022 Oscars had a very low bar to clear.
This year’s ceremony had nowhere to go but up, honestly: Last year’s Oscars were a trainwreck (one that took place at a train station, ironically) plagued by sluggish pacing and a humorless tone. Viewership cratered, too, with an all-time low of 10.4 million total viewers — less than half of the previous low mark. This year, though, with first-time producer Will Packer at the helm, the Oscars was able to return to its home turf at L.A.’s Dolby Theatre and restore some measure of its former glitz and glamour,...

The Oscars are here.
After going without a host for three consecutive years in a row, the 94th Academy Awards will be helmed by the trio of Wanda Sykes, Regina hall and Amy Schumer. History will be made since this is the first time the ceremony has ever been hosted by three women.
Several changes have been made to this year’s Oscars, including the introduction of a new award: the Fan-Favorite Award, which will be decided by a popular vote held on Twitter. This award aims to spotlight box office busing films that didn’t receive nods from the Academy like “No Time to Die” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
The presentation of the awards will also differ, as eight categories will be taped before the start of the live broadcast, and the footage will be broken up throughout the broadcast.

After a long-haul awards season, the 94th annual Academy Awards are finally upon us. Hollywood’s biggest night will see Oscar statues doled out across 24 categories — though eight of those honors will, controversially, be handed out in the hour before the ceremony officially starts at 8 p.m. Pt.
Tonight will mark a moment of redemption for many of the most dogged Oscar campaigners, who’ve been on the awards circuit since the fall of 2021. The telecast this year features three hosts: Wanda Sykes, Regina Hall, and Amy Schumer.
Plus, they’re joined by a variety of musical guests including Beyonce (“King Richard”), Billie Eilish and Finneas (“No Time to Die”), Reba McEntire (“Four Good Days”), and Sebastián Yatra (“Encanto”), among other musical guests. Plus, the Academy has assembled an “all-star band” featuring the likes of blink-182 drummer and “The Kardashians” star Travis Barker, percussionist and singer Sheila E., and genre-spanning pianist Robert Glasper.
