Liz and Lucas Are Besties

Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) has not been able to catch a break when it comes to love in recent years. Franco (Roger Howarth), one of the loves of her life, was murdered. She then had a fiasco of a relationship with Finn (Michael Easton). Thankfully, he left, which worked out well because her first love, Lucky (Jonathan Jackson), returned to Port Charles.

Unfortunately, Lucky cannot fight the temptation of a life on the road, so he took off. Liz is back to being the best single mom in Port Charles, but Ric (Rick Hearst) has been following her around like a puppy. Fans do not want her to fall for him; let him stay with Ava (Maura West).

Elizabeth has been growing closer to Lucas (Van Hansis) during this time.

General Hospital fans are searching for a new couple they can root for. Many are hoping for an Elizabeth and Isaiah pairing. This could be interesting.

Two Less Lonely People In The World

Fans are not happy about where the writers have taken Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson), probably because they have taken him nowhere. He came to Port Charles with such potential, but is now nothing but a sounding board for the women at the hospital.

Then there is Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), who has not had a decent love story since they killed off Franco (Roger Howarth). Lucky’s (Jonathan Jackson) return got our hopes up, but that fell completely flat, and now he is gone.

It seemed as if we blinked and missed Jonathan Jackson’s return to General Hospital as Lucky Spencer. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) on Thursday announced the full list of nominees for “The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” which are set to take place on Friday, October 17 during a ceremony that will be streamed live from Pasadena, CA. However, a specific venue had not been disclosed at press time.

This year, the Daytime Emmy Awards will take place as a single ceremony, executive produced by Adam Sharp, President and CEO of NATAS, and Lisa Armstrong, with Rachel Schwartz serving as Head of the Daytime Emmy Awards. The firm of Lutz & Carr, Llp, provides accounting services for this year’s competition.

Among the television networks and streamers, Netflix leads with 32 nominations, followed by ABC and CBS in a tie for second place, each with 25 nominations. Peacock received 14 nominations to rank fourth, while CBS Media Ventures was honored with 12 nominations to close out the top five.

Brook Lynn and Dante finally talk, and they discuss their grown son Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).

Gio’s not been buying what either one of them have been selling about relationships with them, he’s pretty much cut everyone off. Dante tells Brook Lynn to reach Gio, he and she are going to have to work together.

That will be easier said then done, because Gio has obviously inherited Dante’s temper and both his and Brook Lynn’s stubbornness!

At least Dante has realized he has to lay aside his anger at Brook Lynn for not telling him they had a son years ago.

This week on General Hospital, Lucky proposed to Elizabeth, she said no, and Lucky admitted he didn’t really want to stay in town anyway, so he is out of there — again. Lucky has accepted that he is too much of a wanderer, and that he can never settle down, not even for the woman he’s loved for decades, or their sons. He’s just like his dad, Luke, that way. Except here’s why we’re not buying it — about either of them.

Some thirty years after marrying the love of his life, Luke (Anthony Geary) announced that he was never happy being a husband or a father, and that he resented Laura (Genie Francis) for tying him down and forcing him to be someone he’s not.

Luke can keep saying it and saying it and saying it. But we don’t believe it. Because we saw otherwise.

Could the news relate to Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) search for Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) prostitute and Portia’s (Brook Kerr) involvement? Or maybe they’ll get an update on Kai’s upcoming documentary. The biggest news they could receive would be that Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is alive and well, though Chavez’s upcoming stage gig makes us think that’s not the case.
