Isla Fisher and Michelle Buteau are spending another day on set.

The two actress went for a walk after grabbing some coffees as they took a quick break from filming their upcoming comedy Spa Weekend on Thursday morning (February 27) in Gold Coast, Australia.

For their time on set, Isla, 49, wore a blue striped top with a denim skirt and slippers while Michelle, 47, wore a green maxi-dress.

Spa Weekend was first announced in August 2024. It follows “three best friends, Jane, Coco and Sophie, as they embark on some much-needed pampering during a luxury spa break in Palm Springs. But when their trainwreck friend, Mel, turns up, the relaxation quickly descends into chaos with hilarious consequences,” according to Deadline.

The movie also stars Anna Faris and Leslie Mann.

Black Bear and Suzanne Todd Productions are producing the film, with Australian production outfit Brouhaha Entertainment handling local services. The project marks Brouhaha’s third Queensland venture following “Boy Swallows Universe” and upcoming thriller “Dangerous Animals.”

The Wicked audition sketch featured actors and other celebrities trying out for the upcoming movie starring Ariana Grande as Gilda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.

Yang, who actually stars in Wicked as Pfannee of Phan Hall, played Charli Xcx and Charli Xcx portrayed her tour co-headliner Troye Sivan as the two auditioned together for the roles of Glinda and Elphaba.

Exclusive: Maisy Stella, the breakout star of the Sundance hit film, My Old Ass, has joined the cast of Maude Apatow’s feature directorial debut, Poetic License. The film also stars Andrew Barth Feldman, Cooper Hoffman and Leslie Mann. Maude will direct. Raffi Donatich penned the script.

Marking the first produced project for Jewelbox Pictures, Apatow’s recently launched production company with longtime collaborator and friend Olivia Rosenbloom, on which we were first to report, Poetic License follows Liz, a former therapist and soon-to-be empty nester, as she becomes the unexpected point of tension between two inseparable best friends and college seniors, Sam and Ari. Liz is forced to reexamine her life as the boys’ friendship unravels in a fierce competition for her affection.

New Hollywood couple Iris Apatow and Sam Nivola got all dressed up to attend the Museum Of Modern Art’s 16th Annual Film Benefit on Wednesday night (October 23) in New York City.

After debuting their relationship at the reopening of Burberry‘s East 57th Street flagship earlier this month, they returned to the red carpet alongside Sam‘s famous parents Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola.

For the occasion, the 22-year-old actress wore a tan dress and carried a small white purse, and the 21-year-old The White Lotus actor paired a classic dress shirt with dark pants and a red belt.

The 21-year-old The Perfect Couple actor and the 22-year-old Unstable actress debuted their relationship while holding hands at the reopening of Burberry‘s East 57th Street flagship store in New York City on Wednesday night (October 16).

Both of the young actors have famous parents!

Sam is the son of actor Alessandro Nivola and Emily Mortimer while Iris is the daughter of filmmaker Judd Apatow and actress Leslie Mann.

It’s unclear when Iris and Sam started dating, but she did visit him on the set of The White Lotus season three in Thailand earlier this year. He shared photos of Iris hanging out with him and the cast during breaks from filming!

The latest quarterly report released Wednesday from FilmLA, Los Angeles’ film permitting office, confirmed the pain production crews have been in this year and signaled that it’s only gotten worse.

Shooting days slipped 5 percent over a three-month period from July to September to 5,048, marking the weakest quarter of 2024, and every category of scripted production lags behind five-year averages on both a per-quarter and year-to-date basis. A bright spot came in the feature film production column, which rose by more than 25 percent last quarter to 476 shooting days. FilmLA stressed that an expansion to California’s film and TV tax credit program is needed to curb the downward trajectory and keep productions in the state. It has been both a rallying cry and source of confusion in the industry for years.

Olivia Wilde and Beanie Feldstein had a mini “Booksmart” reunion Tuesday at Chanel and Tribeca Film Festival’s Through Her Lens luncheon in New York City.

Wilde and Feldstein are jurors for this year’s Tribeca Chanel women’s filmmaker program, which provides industry support and artistic development to 10 self-identifying women and non-binary filmmakers. The jury will decide which of these emerging filmmakers will receive full funding and support from Tribeca Studios to create a short film.

“I’m thrilled that I get to be on this jury with Beanie and to deliberate together because her taste is unmatched,” Wilde told Variety on the carpet for the Through Her Lens luncheon at Locanda Verde, the Italian restaurant in Tribeca. “She is so empathetic in the way she consumes materials with such thoughtful, emotional intelligence. So I feel very lucky.”
