Jackée Joins Man on the Inside

Deadline was the first to report that Harry will guest star in the second season of Netflix’s A Man on the Inside. The comedy stars Ted Danson, who plays “a retired man who gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a Pi and becomes a mole in a secret investigation.”

The details of Harry’s character are being kept under wraps. However, Deadline states that the actress could potentially return should the show get renewed for a third season.

“Days of our Lives” star Jackée Harry (Paulina Price-Carver) will appear as a guest star on the Netflix comedy “A Man on the Inside,” starring Ted Danson (“Cheers”), when it returns for Season 2 later this year on the streaming service.

While details on the character she’ll be playing are being kept under wraps, Deadline, which first reported the news, says that Harry could return for more episodes should the show be renewed for a third season.

Based on the documentary “The Mole Agent,” which received an Oscar nomination in 2021 for Best Documentary Feature, the series follows retiree Charles (Danson), who gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a Pi and becomes a mole in a secret investigation.

The eight-episode drama “charts the rise and fall of Felix Carmichael (Laurie), the elusive and powerful head of notorious British crime syndicate ‘The Capital,'” reads the official synopsis.

Netflix has added a slew of new cast members (and potential suspects) to the star-studded line-up of A Man on the InsideSeason 2, which is set to premiere on the streaming service sometime in 2025. The comedy ensemble has grown substantially, with nearly a dozen actors joining Ted Danson, who reprises his role as retiree-turned-private-investigator Charles Nieuwendyk. Now there are a lot more men and women on the inside, likely to play a role in the character's sleuthing shenanigans during the sophomore outing of the series.

Charles Nieuwendyk's case in A Man on the Inside season 2 just a got a little more interesting with the reveal of the critically acclaimed mystery comedy's new cast members. Of course, Ted Danson will return as the titular man on the inside, a retired widow who gets back out into society as a spy for hire working with private investigator Julie (Lilah Richcreek Estrada).

Richcreek Estrada will also be back in her role, as Variety confirms, but season 2 has also gained a fully rounded out cast after adding Danson's real-life wife Mary Steenburgen in a major role. Ted Danson and season two newbie (and Danson’s spouse) Mary Steenbergen will have plenty of company on the upcoming season of Netflix’s A Man on the Inside. The streamer just announced the final key players are in place and provided teasing tidbits on who they’ll be playing.

Season one was set in a retirement home, and season two will take the action to a college campus where Charles will be hanging out undercover. Steenbergen is on board as Mona Margadoff, “a former musician who factors heavily in the case Charles is trying to solve.”

Netflix'sA Man On the Inside was one of its biggest hits of 2024. It told the story of Charles (Ted Danson), a widower at a loose end in life when he answers a Pi ad looking for someone to go uncover in a retirement home. His adventures in the retirement home, tracking down a thief, lead him to new revelations about his life and relationships.

Now, a Season 2 is on the way. It was previously announced that Mary Steenburgen, Danson's real-life wife, would star in the season alongside him. She's playing Mona Margadoff, a musician who has something to do with the new case Charles is investigating. But there are other people involved in the case too - and now all those people have been cast.

Deadline has all the details. A whopping 11 people were announced as having joined the cast today, and the outlet has character details for all of them.

Netflix has rounded out the cast of A Man on the Inside’s second season, adding 11 actors to the comedy’s ensemble.

Constance Marie, David Strathairn, Gary Cole, Jason Mantzoukas, Jill Talley, Linda Park, Lisa Gilroy, Madison Hu, Max Greenfield, Michaela Conlin and Sam Huntington have joined the series from creator Mike Schur (Parks and Recreation, The Good Place) and Universal Television. At Warner Bros. in Los Angeles, more than 2,000 actors, writers and supporters hit the sidewalks as temperatures hit the high-80s. On day 67 of The Writers Guild of America strike, the cast and creatives behind three popular shows joined the picket lines across Los Angeles.

Bright and early at 9:30 a.m. over at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, there was an Ugly Betty reunion with stars Ana Ortiz and Chris Gorham joining writers Brian Tannen, Gabrielle Stanton, Sheila Lawrence, Chris Black, Henry Myers, Cameron Litvack and Tracy Poust on the special picket.

Ugly Betty, based on the hit Spanish-language novela Betty La Fea, aired for four seasons from 2006 to 2010. America Ferrera portrayed the titular Betty Suarez, an unconventional beauty whose unique sense of style doesn’t preclude her from landing a gig at a top fashion magazine. The project was developed by Silvio Horta for ABC and also starred Mark Indelicato, Eric Mabius, Tony Plana, Becki Newton and Michael Urie.

Six new episodes of With Love will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video beginning June 2. While season 1 saw Lily's parents, Jorge Sr. (Benito Martinez) and Beatriz (Constance Marie), struggling to keep their marriage afloat, season 2 is already looking more optimistic for the couple. A near-death experience in the finale caused both characters to recognize the love they have for one another, inspiring them to do whatever it takes to keep the family together.

Marie has over fifty acting credits, with her longest-running roles being Santa Barbara, George Lopez, and Switched at Birth. Meanwhile, Martinez is known for his work on The Shield and can currently be seen playing Gabriel Reyes in 9-1-1: Lone Star. However, with Lily and Santiago and Sol and Miles also leaving off on a high note, fans will have to wait for season 2 to see which of the characters is planning to propose.

Mayan Lopez, star of “Lopez vs. Lopez” and daughter to comedian George Lopez, has opened up about following in her father’s showbiz footsteps. Speaking at NBC’s virtual summer press tour panel at the Television Critics Association, she said that growing up behind the scenes of “The George Lopez Show” is where she first “fell in love” with acting and creating – but she’s still had to pay her dues and put in the work.

“People always think that I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, like no….
