Beginning Aug. 1, American Pie and American Pie 2 will be available to stream on Netflix. The coming-of-age sex comedy follows a group of teenagers — Jim Levenstein (Jason Biggs), Chris "Oz" Ostreicher (Chris Klein), Kevin Myers (Thomas Ian Nicholas), and Paul Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) — who make a pact to lose their virginity before they graduate high school. Good news for American Pie fans. Two sequels from the theatrically released entries will be getting new physical media releases. The bad news is that these particular releases are from a British distributor, and the normal Blu-rays are Region B. However, American Pie 2 will get an Ultra-hd 4K remastering on a region-free Blu-ray so North American consumers can enjoy it as well. According to Blu-ray.com, 88 Films is releasing the first sequel and the last sequel to the 1999 teen virginity comedy. Both Blu-rays are due to hit retailers in June.

Per Variety, Scott is set to join Tim Allen and Kat Dennings in ABC's upcoming sitcom, Shifting Gears. According to the official logline for the series, the sitcom centers around Matt (Allen), "the stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matts estranged daughter (Dennings) and her teenage kids move into his house, the real restoration begins." Scott will play Gabriel in the series, who is described as a "family friend of Matt & Riley who works in the shop with Matt." After 25 years, Jason Biggs took advantage of one of his most memorable roles for some tongue-in-cheek marketing.

The American Pie star, who hosts Netflix‘s Blue Ribbon Baking Championship, joked “there were no pies harmed” while filming the backing competition series, which is “safe for family viewing” and now available on the streamer.

In this new era of actors’ financial transparency, actor Seann William Scott has revealed the paltry amount he was paid to appear in 1999 hit comedy American Pie.

Scott told TV chat show host Rick Elsen that he earned $8,000 for his work on the movie, which went on to make $235million at the box office.

Cory Hardrict has joined Orange Is The New Black alum Taryn Manning in Karen, the indie suspense thriller from writer and director Coke Daniels. Manning, who is producing the indie, will play Karen White, who believes that races should stick to their “own kind” and carries this belief into her neighborhood. Hardrict will star as Malik, a community activist in Atlanta dedicated to his wife and fighting social injustices. When Malik and his wife, Assata, become Karen’s new neighbor, she makes it her personal mission to remove them from the neighborhood, by any means necessary. However, Assata and Malik don’t have time for this and aren’t going down without a fight.
