Amazon MGM has released the first glimpse of Madden, as Academy Award winners Christian Bale and Nicolas Cage could be seen in their roles. Madden is the story of the football legend and face of the Madden NFL video game franchise, John Madden. David O. Russell directs it.

Cage, who previously starred in fellow genre films “The Old Way” and “Butcher’s Crossing,” plays Ben, an unhinged reformed outlaw who has a spiritual awakening on the road of revenge. Stephen Dorff and Heather Graham also star in “Gunslingers,” along with Scarlet Stallone, Costas Mandylor, Tzi Ma, and Randall Batinkoff.

The official synopsis reads: “Reformed gunslinger Thomas Keller (Dorff) and mad genius Ben (Cage) are guided by spiritual leader Jericho (Mandylor) as they strive for vindication. While confronting their violent history, a brutal bar fight and deadly feud reignites between Thomas, Ben, and the notorious Five Points Gang. Now baptized and reborn, Thomas grapples with fresh challenges, testing his newfound peace amidst a town steeped in secrets, violence, and a relentless quest for revenge.”

The film is set in the fictional Kentucky town of Redemption.

Nicolas Cage is preparing to make a sinister splash with his latest psychological thriller The Surfer, which is crashing into theaters on May 2, 2025. Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions released the first trailer and poster for the "sun-beaten terror" (seen below), showing that it's not just the weather bringing the heat in this sizzling new feature, as Cage plays a father who gets embroiled in a turf war on the beach. According to the movie's official synopsis, the conflict quickly reaches a boiling point.

Cage stars as an unnamed character who brings his teenage son (Finn Little) to the Australian beach where he was raised. His character is an Australian who moved to California when he himself was a teen after his father was found dead on the same beach. Now, he wants to reestablish his Aussie roots in town — the only issue is that the locals are less than thrilled to welcome him back.

Exclusive: Bill Belichick is getting out on the road ahead of the Super Bowl.

The former New England Patriots coach, who just signed up as head coach of the University of North Carolina, will travel across Louisiana in John Madden’s iconic Cruiser in The Madden Cruiser: A Bayou Adventure with Bill Belichick. Their ultimate destination: New Orleans, where next year’s Super Bowl will be held.

The special will air on Fox just ahead of the Super Bowl at 12pm Et on Sunday February 9.

Guests joining Belichick on the ride include his former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who is now an announcer on Fox.

Others include Michael Strahan and Curt Menefee, Pro Football Hall of Famers Ed Reed and Ty Law, New Orleans legends Archie Manning and Tyrann Mathieu, and Rocsi Diaz.

The special will also commemorate the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, examining how the storm and its aftermath forever transformed New Orleans.
