The match begins with Kushida and Laredo Kid engaging in fast-paced action. Before the match could gain momentum, Josh Alexander storms the ring and lays out Laredo Kid with a C4 Spike. Kushida tries to intervene, but Josh locks him in a vicious Ankle Lock until security intervenes. A furious Kushida grabs the mic, calls out Alexander, and chases him down, dropkicking Josh on the ramp. The two brawl into the commercial break!

The Nxt Women’s Championship remains with Lyra Valkyria as the Irish Superstar outlasted 2023 Iron Survivor Blair Davenport to retain her title. Davenport was in prime position to win the championship after an Avalanche Falcon Arrow, but the champion wisely rolled out of the ring and managed to slam the challenger’s knee into the announce table. With Davenport’s knee compromised, Valkyria capitalized and hit a twisting slam to walk out of New Year’s Evil still Nxt Women’s Champion.
