Hyderabad, March 1 (Ians) A middle-aged woman from Zambia, who was suffering from a very rare type of tumour called Paraganglioma, has been successfully operated upon at Kims Hospital in Hyderabad.
Dr. Ramya Valiveru, an endocrine surgeon from Kims Kondapur, successfully treated the patient by performing a complex surgery.
According to her, the occurrence rate of that Paraganglioma tumour is only two in one million population.
The doctor said, the patient was referred with primary complaints of severe fluctuating hypertension and uncontrolled giddiness. The government of Zambia referred her to the Endocrine Surgery department of Kims Hospital Kondapur.
The patient had been suffering from severe recurrent headaches, episodes of anxiety, palpitations, and increased sweating for more than five years. She was evaluated in Zambia and was found to have a large 8.5×7.5 cm tumour in her abdomen.
“The tumour is a very rare type that was found to produce very high amounts of a hormone called noradrenaline.

Amaravati, Nov 26 (Ians) At least 25 children studying in a government school in Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Sathya Sai district were taken ill after having food supplied by school authorities under the Mid-Day Meal scheme.
The incident occurred in the municipal primary school in Kadiri town of the district.
Of the 148 children, 121 had attended classes on Friday. The students complained that food served to them became stale. School principal Lavanya then asked the catering agency to supply fresh food to students.
However, before cooking fresh food, the agency provided meals to some students. At least 25 of them took ill.
The affected students complained of vomiting and stomach upset. Initially eight students were shifted to government hospital Kadiri. Later, 17 more students were taken to hospital.

Chennai, Jan 15: Director S.V. Krishna Reddy, who has been away from filmdom since his last release - 2009 Telugu comedy "Masth" - is back to make a sequel to the 1994 Telugu blockbuster "Yamaleela".
"I have been thinking about it for some time now. I intend to start working on it soon, but before that I need to get my casting right," Krishna Reddy told Ians.
