“Ginny & Georgia” returned for Season 3 on Netflix with more chaos for the mother-daughter duo, as Georgia faces a murder trial and a lifetime prison sentence.

As such, a moody mash-up of songs accompanies this thrilling batch of episodes. Ginny is navigating her own challenges at school as her peers learn of her mother’s criminal record, while jumping through hoops to connect with her mother.

“Opry 100: A Live Celebration,” which premiered Wednesday, March 19, scored 5.3 million viewers across NBC and Peacock, according to Nielsen live-plus-same-day figures and internal viewing data from NBCUniversal. The event ranked as Wednesday night’s most-watched program among all the broadcast networks, which largely aired original programming.

Additionally, the three-hour event saw viewership growth across through its second hour, with viewership for its final half-hour outpacing the first.

Coal Miner’s Daughter, Loretta Lynn’s bestselling autobiography-turned-smash-hit movie, is heading to Broadway, with two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster to play the role of the late, legendary country music icon.

Currently in development, the stage musical adaptation will be directed by Sam Gold, with music production by Jeanine Tesori. The two last worked together on the Tony-winning hit 2015 musical Fun Home.

The stage adaptation will include songs from Lynn’s career and stories from her life, some beyond the 1980 film’s ending.

Randal Malone, who showed up in dozens of low-budget movies and played a “film star” on the 1990s MTV dating game show Singled Out, has died. He was 66.

Malone died Sunday at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys after a long battle with kidney disease, his family announced.

Since 2004, Malone served as president of the Southern California Motion Picture Council, a charitable organization that was founded in 1936 and remains one of the longest-running groups of its kind.

While signing autographs to promote Sunset After Dark (1996), in which he appeared alongside former child star Margaret O’Brien and onetime silent-film star Anita Page, Malone was spotted by producer Keven Undergaro.

The soundtrack to Shawn Levy's new superhero flick "Deadpool & Wolverine," the 158th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is chock-full of sarcastic needle drops and overblown musical cues, wielded specifically to amp up the movie's irony. "Deadpool & Wolverine" opens with a violent fight scene wherein Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) murders dozens of people using the adamantium bones of the deceased Logan as weapons. On the soundtrack, *Nsync's "Bye Bye Bye" plays, adding a silly, upbeat quality to the violence. 

Later in the film, Deadpool and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) will get into a knock-down, stab-happy fight in a Honda minivan, spraying their own blood all over the car's interior. As they fight, one of them smacks the radio, and "You're the One That I Want" from "Grease" plays on the soundtrack. It's a jaunty, happy tune that serves as a comedic tonal juxtaposition to the slicing and dicing.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” appears to be playing with time a little bit, with the appearance of the Time Variance Authority, so perhaps it makes sense that the soundtrack for the film is filled with throwbacks.

In theaters now, the film officially brings Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) into the MCU, as the two pair up — begrudgingly, in the case of Wolverine — to save Wade’s world.

Surprisingly, there’s no Wham! on this soundtrack, but it does get pretty meta, bringing in a song from one of Hugh Jackman’s musicals. And, before you get excited, no, that’s not Taylor Swift on the soundtrack confirming any rumors she might be in the film.

Her song is called “You Belong With Me,” not “You Belong to Me.” This one is a classic though.

The film, which also stars Hugh Jackman, is the third entry in the Deadpool film series, which prides itself in featuring odd musical choices for its films. The soundtrack, which releases on July 24, has revealed its tracklist of songs, including a tune swiped from another Jackman film, the 2017 musical The Greatest Showman.

This author is old enough to remember the 1990s heyday of movie soundtracks, when film producers would regularly license charting pop hits, obscure deep cuts, upcoming rappers, and underappreciated indie bands to construct carefully curated and meticulously produced albums that lived happily in your friends' cars all summer. The former American Idol contestant took the stage for the first time in over a year on April 22. Kellie Pickler was part of an event held to honor the late Patsy Cline.

“I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was incredibly nervous right now,” she admitted to the audience. “It’s the first time I’ve been up on stage in a while.

The 37-year-old singer, and American Idol alum, performed at the Walkin’ After Midnight: The Music of Patsy Cline tribute event on Monday night (April 22) held at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.

The performance marked Kellie‘s return to the stage one year after her husband Kyle Jacobs‘ death.
