The Hunting Wives Soundtrack: Every Song From Netflix Drama
Image
The Hunting Wives, created by Rebecca Cutter (Hightown) and based on the bestselling novel by May Cobb, is a Southern Gothic thriller that premiered on Netflix on July 21, 2025, and quickly captivated audiences with its tense blend of Texan‑Gothic mystery, social intrigue, and morally ambiguous characters.

While the series has ample twists and turns to keep the viewers intrigued, it wasn’t just the plot that drew them in, for even the music of the Netflix series stands out. From elevating the storytelling to grounding the show’s mood and conflict with uncanny emotional precision, it was composer Jeff Danna who put together the haunting original score.

With minimalistic guitar, eerie strings, and a sound that whispers betrayal and hits scandal, The Hunting Wives soundtrack is as perfect as it can be. Each episodic mystery is further elevated by songs by Bad Flamingo, Patsy Cline, Orville Peck, Suki Waterhouse, and more.

How Cmat Invented Her Own Kind of Country Music — and a Dance Craze
Image
If you assembled a focus group of today’s country artists and asked them to list their biggest influences, a few names would probably rise to the top: Johnny Cash and Hank Williams; Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn. More contemporary icons like Shania Twain and George Strait would come up, and even underappreciated legends like Billie Joe Shaver and Tanya Tucker. But even if you sat this focus group down and locked them in a room for 24 hours, it’s likely not a single one of them would utter the...

‘Ginny & Georgia’ Season 3 Soundtrack: From Remi Wolf To Sofi Tukker
Image
Ginny & Georgia has challenged the mold between drama and comedy, tackling all sorts of themes, for two seasons, and Season 3 follows in those footsteps.

Season 3 will see Brianne Howey’s Georgia Miller go through a trial for murder, which she did, indeed commit, while her daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and son Austin (Diesel La Torraca) watch from the courtroom benches alongside her fiancé Mayor Paul Randolph (Scott Porter).

Whether it be an event at high school for sophomores like Sophomore Sleepover or Tulips & Tuxes or a Living Room Dance Party (Lrdp), there are many opportunities for a needle drop or three in the series. Alison Moses and Kayla Monetta are responsible for curating the soundtrack to the show’s third season.

Findall the songs you’ll hear in Ginny & Georgia Season 3 below:

Episode 1: “This Wouldn’t Even Be a Podcast”

The making of ‘Matlock’: ‘I wanted it to be a love letter to women in the workforce’
Image
For Kathy Bates, Matlock was the miracle she’d been waiting for.

“Even though I've had a long career and people know who I am, I was feeling a little bit invisible,” says Bates. “But more than that, I wasn't challenged by the work in the same way. I hate to say I was losing interest in what I love to do, but you really need to find something that you really love to do. And it was a miracle to find something this well-written, this exciting, this unusual, and this deep.”

That miracle came in the form of Matlock — the CBS “prestige-ural” that utterly reimagined the word remake when it debuted last September. As conceived by Jennie Snyder Urman, Matlock skillfully blended the familiar tropes of a legal procedural with a compelling contemporary twist, winning an early second season renewal, topping broadcast charts, and earning plenty of awards buzz,...

Jessica Lange & Jonathan Kent On The Turbulent Road Of Bringing ‘Long Day’s Journey Into Night’ To The Big Screen: “Sometimes The Struggle Is Helpful” — Glasgow Film Festival
Image
Of all the characters Jessica Lange has played throughout her illustrious career, it’s Mary Tyrone, the restless, morphine-addicted mother of Eugene O’Neill’s play Long Day’s Journey Into Night, that has been her favorite.

“She’s the character that has touched me more deeply than any role that I’ve ever played,” says Lange. “You never get to the bottom of Mary Tyrone and I’ve played her hundreds of times on stage in London and New York. She’s written with such beauty and love and truth and intensity that you never complete her. I could keep on playing her for the rest of my life.”

After Lange completed her run on the 2016 Broadway revival of the play with prolific British theatre director Jonathan Kent, which won her a Tony Award, the pair were keen to immortalize the epic story as a feature film.

“It happened very organically,...

How the Members of Amor Elefante Found Each Other Again on Comeback Album ‘Amigas’
Image
A few years ago, Amor Elefante seemed ready to cross over into the mainstream. After releasing the album Oriente in 2017 — a sumptuous collage of dream pop melodies and art-rock moods — the Buenos Aires quartet played SXSW in 2019, recorded a 2021 live session for Kexp, and even placed a song in an Oreo commercial. Seeped in longing and lush keyboard lines, Amor Elefante’s music was simply too beautiful to ignore.

But the band formed in 2009 by vocalist/guitarist Rocío Bernardiner, keyboardist Inés Copertino, and drummer Rocío Fernández, went quiet around 2022. There...

Currently in development, the stage musical adaptation will be directed by Sam Gold, with music production by Jeanine Tesori. The two last worked together on the Tony-winning hit 2015 musical Fun Home.

Patsy Lynn, Loretta Lynn’s manager, producer, and daughter, will serve as a consulting producer on the project, along with Loretta’s longtime adviser Nancy Russell.

According to Lynn’s family, Loretta Lynn had given her stamp of approval to both the project and Sutton’s casting prior to her death at 90 in 2022.

Sweet and Sour (1984)
Love It or Hate It: Our Favorite Valentine’s Day and Anti-Valentine’s Day Indies
Sweet and Sour (1984)
To put it bluntly, Valentine’s Day is perhaps the most awkward national holiday. On the one hand you have lovely and joyful romantic partners eager to get their plans started, and on the other hand you have lovely but dissatisfied singles preparing to witness all the plans in action, right? No! There are also people who get together with their palentines and do something quiet or have an absolute rager, people who go to bars or clubs or parties for the sake of a good time, people who visit loved ones—who may have lost loved ones—to offer comfort and company, etc. Then, there are those of us die-hard cinephiles who don’t have a fulfilling holiday without popping in a film or two. Whether you have a valentine, palentine, or you’re a singleton, there’s something for everyone to enjoy under the “Sweet and Sour” sublist,...

When Henry Cavill Was Barred From A Mission: Impossible Halo Jump By Tom Cruise For This Jaw-Dropping Reason
Image
Henry Cavill Barred From Halo Jump ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Plot twist: Tom Cruise grounded Henry Cavill during a Mission: Impossible – Fallout stunt. It wasn’t because Cavill couldn’t fly—it was a Halo jump, and that’s way crazier than skydiving.

All geared up and ready to go, Cavill thought his wind tunnel training and parachute skills were enough to join Cruise in this dangerous stunt. He was so convinced that, on the day of the jump, he begged Cruise, saying, “I’m wearing a parachute, I’ve got some wind tunnel [training], surely I can just jump?”

But Cruise wasn’t having it. He straight-up told Cavill, “I get it; you’ve done every single stunt in the movie so far, but I can’t let you do this one. It needs specific training.” Ouch.

Stanley Kubrick Played Mind Games With Nicole Kidman & Tom Cruise In Eyes Wide Shut: “He was still into it, but not as energetic”
Image
Stanley Kubrick’s Mind Games On Set ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

“Stanley Kubrick Played Mind Games with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise in Eyes Wide Shut.” That’s not just a juicy headline—it’s the reality behind the grueling 46-week shoot of Kubrick’s final film. The director wasn’t just making a movie but pushing his actors to extremes. Cruise and Kidman, both seasoned pros, found themselves in a strange mix of artistry and discomfort, all thanks to Kubrick’s infamous obsession with perfection.

Filming Eyes Wide Shut was no walk in the park. It was the most extended consistent film shoot in cinema history, from November 1996 to June 1998. The notoriously demanding Kubrick wasn’t exactly known for his light touch, and this time, his mind games would leave their mark on his stars. According to Vinessa Shaw, who played a sex worker in the film, even Tom Cruise started to feel the toll.

When Paul Rudd & Jack Black Passed On Playing This Role In Todd Phillips’ The Hangover
Image
Which Hangover Role Did Paul Rudd & Jack Black Turn Down? ( Photo Credit – Wikimedia )

Picture this: Paul Rudd as Phil in The Hangover. Wild, right? But nope, it almost happened, and then… it didn’t. Director Todd Phillips, the man behind The Hangover madness, initially wanted Rudd for the role that eventually went to Bradley Cooper. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Rudd and Jack Black passed on the chance to join the chaos of The Hangover crew. Why? Well, reasons. Scheduling conflicts, creative choices, whatever it was, didn’t click.

Todd Phillips had a challenging casting journey. While Ed Helms snagged the perfect role as the relatable, everyman Stu, Phillips struggled to find the other characters. He first envisioned a brother-in-law character played by someone like Jonah Hill. As per The Things, Todd eventually looked at Jake Gyllenhaal and Thomas Haden Church before landing on Zach Galifianakis. The result? Alan became the standout character,...

When Meryl Streep Revealed She Wished To Play Patsy Cline In Sweet Dreams: “A Singer I Adored”
Image
Did Meryl Streep Want To Play Patsy Cline in Sweet Dreams? ( Photo Credit – Wikimedia )

Imagine this: Meryl Streep as Patsy Cline. A country queen twist on Meryl the Goat—sounds like a perfect fit, right? But nope. Even Meryl Streep, with her 21 Oscar nominations and legendary status, didn’t land this one. She once told Vanity Fair, “Karel was a friend of mine who I adored, and he was making a film about Patsy Cline, who is a singer I adored.” Two legends, one film, and yet… no Meryl.

Instead, the role went to Jessica Lange, the blonde powerhouse who made Patsy Cline her own in Sweet Dreams. Karel Reisz, the director, decided Jessica would look better in the role. Sure, casting decisions happen. But Meryl wasn’t bitter. She made peace with the loss, swapping potential fame for a cozy stay at Reisz’s house while filming Plenty in England.

Kim Deal Waited Decades to Release a Solo Album. ‘Nobody Loves You More’ Is Worth It

Nobody Loves You More, Kim Deal’s first-ever solo album, has been a lifetime in the making. The trailblazing singer-songwriter, whose recordings with the Pixies and the Breeders drafted blueprints for the Nineties alt-rock explosion, has always released albums at unusual intervals, La Jetée-like snapshots of her state of mind. She’s been the Buzz Bin sexpot (Pixies’ “Gigantic” for sure, and isn’t “Divine Hammer” simply Gen X’s “Tush”?), she’s been the bong in the reggae song (“Cannonball”), and the ever-moving island (Title Tk’s “Off You”). ‘The Last Showgirl’ Songwriters Andrew Wyatt, Lykke Li Found The Connection For Pamela Anderson And Miley Cyrus – Sound & Screen Film

For the closing song of The Last Showgirl, Andrew Wyatt and Lykke Li wrote “Beautiful This Way” with Miley Cyrus. In the Roadside Attractions film, Pamela Anderson plays a veteran showgirl confronted with her future when her show closes.

Though Cyrus is more than 25 years younger than Anderson, Wyatt felt her journey from child star to adult recording artist gave her a relevant perspective.

“It felt very much something that she could speak to because even though she’s so young, she still has all this experience and these layers to her voice,” Wyatt said during a conversation at Deadline’s Sound & Screen Film music showcase. “This is about people who’ve been through quite a lot of phases in their life.”

Given that the movie is about a female dancer and he was enlisting another female singer, Wyatt knew he could not reflect on their perspectives. But Wyatt had...

30 music legends tragic deaths; remembering Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Selena and more
Image
Music is a powerful force that connects members of a generation, and when an icon of that generation passes away, the loss is felt among the masses; it is especially shocking when that larger-than-life celebrity dies suddenly and at a young age. Sadly, we have lost several musical artists much too soon, often due to the pressure, exposure or commitments that come with fame. Tour our photo gallery remembering 30 music legends and the details around their tragic deaths.

I was only nine years old when John Lennon died, and over 40 years later, I remember sitting at the kitchen table hearing the report on the radio that crazed fan Mark David Chapman had shot the legendary singer to death. This was one of the most shocking events in rock and roll history; fans were devastated, with a least three committing suicide. Chapman pleaded guilty and remains incarcerated. Just 15 years later, promising...

Randal Malone, Performer on the MTV Game Show ‘Singled Out,’ Dies at 66
Image
Randal Malone, who showed up in dozens of low-budget movies and played a “film star” on the 1990s MTV dating game show Singled Out, has died. He was 66.

Malone died Sunday at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys after a long battle with kidney disease, his family announced.

Since 2004, Malone served as president of the Southern California Motion Picture Council, a charitable organization that was founded in 1936 and remains one of the longest-running groups of its kind.

While signing autographs to promote Sunset After Dark (1996), in which he appeared alongside former child star Margaret O’Brien and onetime silent-film star Anita Page, Malone was spotted by producer Keven Undergaro.

He was then hired for Singled Out, which counted among its hosts Chris Hardwick, Jenny McCarthy and Carmen Electra. He portrayed various characters during the show’s three seasons, including “Film Star Randal Malone”; he wore gloves and used a cigarette holder...

Deadpool & Wolverine Almost Had A Musical Number Set To A Classic Elton John Song

Spoilers for "Deadpool & Wolverine" follow.

The soundtrack to Shawn Levy's new superhero flick "Deadpool & Wolverine," the 158th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is chock-full of sarcastic needle drops and overblown musical cues, wielded specifically to amp up the movie's irony. "Deadpool & Wolverine" opens with a violent fight scene wherein Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) murders dozens of people using the adamantium bones of the deceased Logan as weapons. On the soundtrack, *Nsync's "Bye Bye Bye" plays, adding a silly, upbeat quality to the violence.

Later in the film, Deadpool and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) will get into a knock-down, stab-happy fight in a Honda minivan, spraying their own blood all over the car's interior. As they fight, one of them smacks the radio, and "You're the One That I Want" from "Grease" plays on the soundtrack. It's a jaunty, happy tune that serves as a comedic tonal juxtaposition to the slicing and dicing.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)
Here Are All the Songs in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)
“Deadpool & Wolverine” appears to be playing with time a little bit, with the appearance of the Time Variance Authority, so perhaps it makes sense that the soundtrack for the film is filled with throwbacks.

In theaters now, the film officially brings Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) into the MCU, as the two pair up — begrudgingly, in the case of Wolverine — to save Wade’s world.

Surprisingly, there’s no Wham! on this soundtrack, but it does get pretty meta, bringing in a song from one of Hugh Jackman’s musicals. And, before you get excited, no, that’s not Taylor Swift on the soundtrack confirming any rumors she might be in the film.

Her song is called “You Belong With Me,” not “You Belong to Me.” This one is a classic though.

Here are all the songs in “Deadpool & Wolverine.”

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Soundtrack: All the Songs You’ll Hear
Image
Like its predecessors, Deadpool & Wolverine recruited some heavy-hitting songs for its soundtrack, which is fitting for the reunion of Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, who was born James Howlett.

While the trailer teased Madonna’s Like a Prayer, other anthems by groups like *Nsync and AC/DC or even the Goo Goo Dolls back action-packed and heartfelt moments in the film. Avril Lavigne has a banger in there as well, and of course, some of Hugh Jackman’s past projects creep in.

Here are all the songs in Deadpool & Wolverine:

“Only You (And You Alone) (Re-Recorded)” by The Platters “Bye Bye Bye” by *Nsync “This Is How We Do It” by Montell Jordan “What’re We Doing Here” by Alexsucks “Like Fresh” by Kid Fresh “The Kid” by Misfit “I Know” by Janine The Machine “Money Life” by B. Stew “Angel of the Morning...

Every Song In The Deadpool & Wolverine Soundtrack
Image
Constructing a soundtrack album is a gentle -- and perhaps lost -- art. This author is old enough to remember the 1990s heyday of movie soundtracks, when film producers would regularly license charting pop hits, obscure deep cuts, upcoming rappers, and underappreciated indie bands to construct carefully curated and meticulously produced albums that lived happily in your friends' cars all summer. There was a time when an unsuccessful film could recoup a lot of its theatrical losses with overwhelming soundtrack record sales. See: "Dead Man on Campus."

As the music industry collapsed in the early 2000s, however, soundtrack records fell out of favor. Movie songs became mere playlists, neither arranged on a CD in any cogent order nor lending themselves toward a general thematic thrust. We '90s teens can now whine (as is our wont) that soundtrack albums are, in the '20s, rarely more than "pile of neat songs.

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 is taking over Bravo.

Shannon Beador had a tough Season 17, especially the reunion, where she was quizzed about her alcohol usage.

John Janssen broke up with Shannon following Season 17’s wrapping, which was also discussed during the reunion.

And just days later, Shannon was arrested for DUI after leaving John’s home. Initially, he was there for her, and then things changed.

They both claimed they were only friends, but Shannon has seemingly changed her tune.

Here’s what Shannon had to say about her relationship with John and how it all went down.

Shannon Beador reveals she was dating John at the time of DUI

Despite the couple splitting after Season 17 wrapped, Shannon Beador says the two were dating after reconciling months later.

The Rhoc star spoke exclusively to People, revealing that she and John saw each other privately but hadn’t made things public.

Although Season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County has only aired one episode, the drama is already top-tier.

Alexis Bellino is happy to share everything about her love life with John Janssen—Shannon Beador’s ex-boyfriend, who has appeared on several episodes of Rhoc with her.

The season premiere featured the two women talking at Heather Dubrow’s party, and it was very clear Alexis was standing her ground about her “Johnny J” and didn’t care what Shannon thought.

However, Shannon has seemingly moved on with her life, even indicating she wasn’t interested in anything related to her ex.

When a news article revealed that Shannon had been dating John before her DUI in September 2023, Alexis decided she was calling out her Rhoc castmate.

And she did it to the tune of Crazy by Patsy Cline.

Why Are Timothy Mellon’s Maga Millions Also Supporting Rfk Jr.?

What kind of man spends $100 million on the 2024 presidential race — only to become the top donor to two candidates, men who are supposed to be rivals?

Timothy Mellon is a scion of one of America’s great family fortunes. He’s uber-rich, infamously reclusive, and stubbornly litigious. He’s fascinated by Amelia Earhart and Patsy Cline, both of whom perished in air crashes. He’s a crusader against illegal immigration, has written that Black Americans are “belligerent,” and likens the social safety net to a modern form of “slavery” that Republicans must smash.

Josh Homme Put On an Epic Benefit Concert with Dave Grohl, Chad Smith, Beck, and St. Vincent

Josh Homme hosted an all-star benefit concert in support of his Sweet Stuff Foundation at the Belasco in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Over the course of the evening, he welcomed friends and collaborators to the stage, including Dave Grohl, Beck, St. Vincent, The Kills, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys, Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal, Bill Burr, and more.

Not surprisingly, Grohl provided several highlights. He went head to head against Smith in a drum off, and briefly attempted to sing a duet of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Sound of Silence” with Homme. Later, after joking that he attempted to learn how to play Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Read” to no avail, he instead debuted an entirely new song he wrote about Homme.

Other notable moments included tennis legend John McEnroe briefly trying his hand at covering Beck’s “Fume,” before...
