Pete had decided that there are different tiers of powers based on how effective and important they are. He uses the way they can connect to the world of the living, and the way he can get off the property. However, he’s overlooking a few great elements of a couple of powers, and Pete’s ability to roam isn’t all that great when you consider other aspects of the spirits’ abilities.

CBS has given Ghosts fans some very good news. The show has received a two-season renewal from the studio through the 2026/2027 season.

Deadline reports that the Ghosts renewal comes along with a Season 2 order for the breakout Chuck Lorre comedy, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, starring Montana Jordan and Emily Osment. Other series to land renewals include Tracker, Fire Country, Elsbeth, NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney and Hollywood Squares. Ghosts is the first non-Chuck Lorre comedy on CBS to land a multi-season renewal in many years.

The series stars Rose McIver as cheerful freelance journalist Samantha and Utkarsh Ambudkar as up-and-coming chef Jay, who throw both caution and money to the wind when they decide to convert a huge run-down country estate they inherited into a bed and breakfast — only to find it’s inhabited by the many spirits of deceased residents.

CBS’s Ghosts kicks off its fourth season by picking up the story of Patience, the Puritan ghost who dragged Isaac into the dirt after he called off his wedding in the season three finale. Season four premieres on October 17, 2024, with new episodes airing on Thursdays at 8:30pm Et/Pt.

“[Patience] brings some fun energy. Memorable and underutilized supporting characters in television history. Examples include Gail the Snail in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Mona Lisa Saperstein in Parks and Recreation. Some characters had potential for further development, while others were important to main characters' storylines but disappeared.

Ive always felt some of the best sitcom characters were often the most underutilized, and there were plenty of hilarious characters Id love to have seen more of. While I agree, theres some merit to the idea that less can be more when it came to beloved sitcom characters, and by keeping their appearances brief, the excitement whenever they appeared onscreen was be maintained. However, I cannot help feeling that some characters potential has been wasted through their limited use, and these sitcoms could have benefited from giving some of these secondary characters more time in the spotlight.

Rather than focus on the Barden Bellas or any of the other a capella groups we've come to know over the course of the "Pitch Perfect" trilogy, "Bumper in Berlin" is centered around the European adventures of Adam Devine's character, Bumper Allen. The show sees Bumper trying to restart his singing career after "Pitch Perfect 2" star Pieter Krämer (Flula Borg) informs him that a TikTok mashup he's made is going viral in Germany. Hoping to capitalize on his unexpected 15 minutes of fame, Bumper moves to Berlin to try and grow his budding fanbase.

Now in a foreign land, Bumper meets our new cast of characters, like Pieter's assistant Heidi (Sarah Hyland), Pieter's DJ sister Thea Krämer (Lera Abova), and his new rival, singer Gisela (Jameela Jamil), who also happens to be Pieter's ex-girlfriend.

Bumper Allen is going overseas to hit the aca-stage once again.

In the first trailer for Peacock’s forthcoming “Pitch Perfect” spinoff series “Bumper in Berlin,” Adam Devine’s Bumper has some new challenges to conquer on his path to international superstardom –– including Jameela Jamil.

NBC will air the premiere episode of the series and a sneak peek at the season on Nov. 28 following Monday night’s episode of “The Voice,” the network announced. All episodes of “Bumper in Berlin” will be available on Peacock beginning Nov. 23.

The Brady organization against gun violence is calling on Hollywood writers, directors and producers to examine onscreen gun violence and depictions of gun safety, asking the creative community to sign a pledge that’s already garnered more than 200 signatures of such names as Judd Apatow, Shonda Rhimes, Damon Lindelof and Jimmy Kimmel and the writers of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Exclusive: Coming off a series regular role on the second season of HBO Max’s Love Life, Chris Powell, also known as Comedian Cp, is set to headline his own potential comedy series for the streamer. HBO Max landed the project, My Father’s Son, in competitive situation.

Now in development, My Father’s Son is inspired by Powell’s relationship with his dad. Powell; is co-writing with Isaiah Lester (black-ish). Richie Keen (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) is attached to direct. The trio executive produce alongside Trevor Engelson for Underground and Doug Banker for Five All in The Fifth.

Powell also served as a writer and recurring guest star on Comedy Central’s Detroiters, also wrote for and appeared on Ole Bud’s Anu Football Weekly and recurred on Empire and White Famous. He is repped by Artists First, CAA, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes.

The Peacock TV series “Pitch Perfect” has added to its growing cast. Joining Adam Devine, whose character, Bumper, the show is centered around, are “Modern Family” alum Sarah Hyland, “The Good Place” star Jameela Jamil and Lera Abova from the 2019 film “Anna,” all in series regular roles.

It was previously announced that Flula Borg, from the popular film franchise, is returning alongside Devine, reprising the role of Piëter Krämer. All three newcomers to the series have connections to both characters.

Hyland will play Heidi, described by Peacock as “Piëter and Bumper’s cheery and slightly odd American assistant. While working on Bumper’s team by day, she secretly harbors dreams of being a singer-songwriter herself and moonlights by performing original songs in a Berlin cabaret.”

Jamil is playing Gisela, “a bombastic and flashy up-and-coming German pop star.” She is “Piëter’s ex-girlfriend and Bumper’s main rival [at] the German Unity Day concert.

Exclusive: Todd Strauss-Schulson and Adam Devine are reuniting for a third time as the former has signed on to direct and exec produce the pilot episode of Peacock’s Pitch Perfect (w/t) spinoff series

Strauss-Schulson has previously worked with the actor on 2015 comedy slasher film The Final Girls and 2019 rom-com Isn’t Is Romantic.

He will direct the first two episodes of the series and exec produce the pilot episode.

ABC has announced the midseason premiere dates for the return of original drama series “A Million Little Things” and “Big Sky.”

“A Million Little Things” is back with new episodes of its fourth season starting Feb. 23 at 10 p.m. Et on ABC. The series, which premiered in 2018, focuses on a circle of friends as they struggle to move on when a member of their circle dies by suicide. The Directors Guild of America (DGA) announced the television nominations for the 2020 DGA Awards on Monday, honoring “Ted Lasso,” “WandaVision,” and “The Queen’s Gambit” as examples of some of the finest directorial work that the medium has to offer.

Both Comedy and Drama categories saw complete turnover in nominees from 2019, with none of the series honored last year airing episodes during the window of eligibility in 2020. Therefore the celebration is guaranteed to get an injection of fresh blood, a welcome development with any awards body.

A Craig Robinson comedy from Brooklyn Nine-Nine pair Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici and a casino comedy starring Chris Redd and Sam Jay from Lorne Michaels have been picked up to series at Peacock.

The streamer has handed series orders to the Untitled Craig Robinson Project, which was formerly known as Killing It, and Bust Down.

The Robinson comedy, which received a script to series commitment last summer, is a comedy about class, capitalism and one man’s quest to achieve the American dream. And also about hunting really big snakes.

It reunited The Office star Robinson, who has appeared on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Jake’s friend and nemesis, Doug Judy, aka the Pontiac Bandit, with the NBC comedy’s co-creator Goor and exec producer Del Tredici.

It has been given a ten-episode order with Goor and Del Tredici writing and exec producing and Robinson and Mark Schulman also exec producers.

Peacock has ordered a pair of comedies, one led by Craig Robinson and the other with “SNL” cast member Chris Redd.

The NBCUniversal streaming service picked up 10 episodes of the Untitled Craig Robinson Project that is from “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” co-creator Dan Goor and executive producer Luke Del Tredici, who will both write and executive produce. Robinson has recurred on the NBC cop comedy throughout its run (including in its Fox days) as Doug Judy, aka the Pontiac Bandit.

A “Real Housewives of Miami” revival was among the programming announcements Peacock made on Wednesday as part of its Television Critics Association presentation.

The original “Rhom” aired on Bravo from 2011-2013 for four seasons. The move to develop the show at Peacock is significant, as it would be the first show in the “Real Housewives” franchise to air outside of Bravo, further emphasizing the importance streaming will play in the years to come.

Netflix has ordered eight episodes of The Healing Powers of Dude, a family live action single camera comedy series from Erica Spates and Sam Littenberg-Weisberg. Richie Keen directs four episodes and executive produces.

Co-created by Spates and Littenberg-Weisberg based on personal experience with social anxiety disorder, The Healing Powers of Dude centers on Noah, an 11-year-old boy with social anxiety disorder. When Noah has to start middle school, he turns to a mutt named Dude, a sarcastic emotional support dog who might need Noah as much as Noah needs him.
