All of the Main 8 ghosts have now had their powers revealed in Ghosts season 4. Pete has ranked them all, but he’s off when it comes to how great some powers are.
Pete had decided that there are different tiers of powers based on how effective and important they are. He uses the way they can connect to the world of the living, and the way he can get off the property. However, he’s overlooking a few great elements of a couple of powers, and Pete’s ability to roam isn’t all that great when you consider other aspects of the spirits’ abilities.
I have my ranking of how great the abilities are. Do you agree with mine? These are in order from best to worst.

It turned out that the number belonged to a woman named Lori Goldstein, whom Trevor briefly dated before his death. CBS has given Ghosts fans some very good news. The show has received a two-season renewal from the studio through the 2026/2027 season.
Deadline reports that the Ghosts renewal comes along with a Season 2 order for the breakout Chuck Lorre comedy, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, starring Montana Jordan and Emily Osment. Other series to land renewals include Tracker, Fire Country, Elsbeth, NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney and Hollywood Squares. Ghosts is the first non-Chuck Lorre comedy on CBS to land a multi-season renewal in many years.

There are plenty of movie and TV moments that fans have quoted so many times that even people who haven't seen them know the reference. However, few have been iconic enough in popular culture to transcend their original context and reach internet immortalization as a meme.
While FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has created countless opportunities for such fame with its absurd episode premises and comically degenerate characters, one stands out above the rest in terms of digital celebrity. Charlie's (Charlie Day) Pepe Silvia conspiracy meme has been shared by millions of users across social media platforms, making it one of the most recognizable moments from the series as well as establishing it as an ever-evolving expression of humor beyond the small-screen.
As altered images and GIFs of a crazed Charlie smoking in front of a nonsensical evidence board have flooded the internet, they have since taken a life of their own.

Sitcoms are a staple of American culture and television. So many incredible stories have been told through the comedic weekly lens of life all over the world. Fans have grown accustomed to falling in love with their favorite characters and hoping for their success.
On top of those iconic characters, there are also iconic characters that have only needed one episode to stand out. Although it's rare to have guest appearances on great sitcoms that only run for a single episode, some of them have withstood the test of time.

An episode of television that takes place almost entirely in one location is referred to as a 'bottle episode.' This trope originated as a way for shows to save money on sets, but it has become a beloved tradition. The limitation creates a unique set of challenges for writers, often resulting in innovative and memorable episodes of TV.
While bottle episodes can be found across all genres of television, they're particularly effective when it comes to sitcoms, which often find outlandish ways to confine their entire cast in one room. The format creates the perfect formula for savvy sitcoms to plant jokes they can call back to throughout the episode, while providing the opportunity to lean into atypical character pairings. Clever comedies also introduce a mounting sense of pressure that pushes their characters to the most heightened version of themselves.

There’s a moment in Thursday night’s Christmas-themed “Ghosts” two-parter where the body of Rose McIver’s character, Sam, is suddenly inhabited by sassy downstairs cholera spirit Nancy (Betsy Sodaro). “Ghosts” requires its stars to participate in all sorts of hijinks on a weekly basis — and in this case, McIver was tasked with imitating Sodaro as Nancy.
“I adore Betsy so much,” McIver tells Variety. “I adore her as a person, as a performer. I’m a huge fan. So I felt very honored that I got to channel a little Nancy, and she was predictably so generous to work with.”
McIver says Sodaro helped her prepare by sharing videos to teach how to play Nancy as a loud-mouthed, inappropriate, over-the-top ghost. “She put these videos down of her saying her dialog and showing me how she would behave,” McIver says. “She was like, ‘I feel like I’m auditioning to play myself.

CBS’s Ghosts kicks off its fourth season by picking up the story of Patience, the Puritan ghost who dragged Isaac into the dirt after he called off his wedding in the season three finale. Season four premieres on October 17, 2024, with new episodes airing on Thursdays at 8:30pm Et/Pt.
“[Patience] brings some fun energy. We kind of lean into a little bit sort of, like, a horror trope,” said co-showrunner Joe Wiseman in an interview with TVLine. “She’s meant to be funny but also a little scary. She’s someone who’s sort of out for revenge and has taken one of our characters. So she brings a nice flavor that we haven’t seen a whole lot of at Woodstone.”
Mary Holland will be guest starring in season four as the Puritan ghost who Isaac unintentionally left to wander in the dirt a long time ago.

CBS Studios today revealed at the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel that Mary Holland (Big Door Prize) and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) will guest star in the upcoming fourth season of the hit CBS series Ghosts. Holland has joined for the recurring role of Patience and Norris will play Frank, Samantha’s (Rose McIver) father.
Patience is the ghost of a Puritan woman who died in the late 1600s. While alive, she was exceedingly severe and judgmental, even by Puritan standards. As such, she was expelled from her village for “being a bit too much.”
After being dead for a couple of hundred years, Patience was inadvertently abandoned (by our Revolutionary War ghost Isaac) underground near the mansion and has become a feral creature “roaming the dirt” since 1895.

In the season three finale, Patience reemerged from the dirt to kidnap Isaac and dragged him back to her lair.

Memorable and underutilized supporting characters in television history. Examples include Gail the Snail in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Mona Lisa Saperstein in Parks and Recreation. Some characters had potential for further development, while others were important to main characters' storylines but disappeared.
Ive always felt some of the best sitcom characters were often the most underutilized, and there were plenty of hilarious characters Id love to have seen more of. While I agree, theres some merit to the idea that less can be more when it came to beloved sitcom characters, and by keeping their appearances brief, the excitement whenever they appeared onscreen was be maintained. However, I cannot help feeling that some characters potential has been wasted through their limited use, and these sitcoms could have benefited from giving some of these secondary characters more time in the spotlight.

“Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin” has been canceled at Peacock despite the fact the show was previously renewed for a second season.
The spinoff of the “Pitch Perfect” film franchise originally debuted on Peacock in November 2022 and was renewed in January 2023. According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, the decision was made to cancel the series as the ongoing strikes in Hollywood meant that production was not able to begin as originally scheduled.
The series saw Adam Devine return as Bumper Allen as he moves to Germany to revive his music career when one of his songs becomes big in Berlin. Along with Devine, the cast of Season 1 included Flula Borg, Sarah Hyland, Lera Abova and Jameela Jamil. Per NBCU, the series scored the biggest comedy premiere in Peacock history, as it was watched by more accounts in its launch weekend than any other Peacock Original comedy to date.

The Brady organization against gun violence is calling on Hollywood writers, directors and producers to examine onscreen gun violence and depictions of gun safety, asking the creative community to sign a pledge that’s already garnered more than 200 signatures of such names as Judd Apatow, Shonda Rhimes, Damon Lindelof and Jimmy Kimmel and the writers of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The pledge, while noting that the “responsibility lies with lax gun laws supported by those politicians more afraid of losing power than saving lives,” acknowledges that “America’s storytellers” have the power to “effect change.”
“Cultural attitudes toward smoking, drunk driving, seatbelts and marriage equality have all evolved due in large part to movies’ and TV’s influence. It’s time to take on gun safety,” the Brady pledge states, and goes on to ask writers, directors and producers to, whenever possible, to:

The Robinson comedy, which received a script to series commitment last summer, is a comedy about class, capitalism and one man’s quest to achieve the American dream. And also about hunting really big snakes.
It reunited The Office star Robinson, who has appeared on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Jake’s friend and nemesis, Doug Judy, aka the Pontiac Bandit, with the NBC comedy’s co-creator Goor and exec producer Del Tredici.
It has been given a ten-episode order with Goor and Del Tredici writing and exec producing and Robinson and Mark Schulman also exec producers.
