Image
The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On season 3 is right around the corner, with Nick and Vanessa Lachey hosting the show, and here is the schedule. Six couples will enter the experiment ready to explore connections with other contestants through trial marriages. If they've formed a strong bond, the pairs will leave the same way they entered the dating experiment, while others might choose to separate. Nick and Vanessa will guide the couple throughout the journey. Every season of The Ultimatum, including The Ultimatum: Queer Love and The Ultimatum: South Africa, has been so dramatic.

However, season 3 looks like it will be one of the messiest installments ever. The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On season 2 has showcased what happens when people are not on the same pages about their futures. While some have separated in the previous franchises, including Queer Love and the South African edition, others have grown close and gotten married.

What’s Up Doc?: Pennebaker/Hegedus & Malick Voyage to the Top in November
It’s been a couple months since the last edition of What’s Up Doc? placed Michael Moore’s surprise world premiere of Where To Invade Next at the top of this list and in the meantime much shuffling has taken place and much time has been spent on various new endeavors (namely my Buffalo-based film series, Cultivate Cinema Circle). Finally taking its rightful place at the top, D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hagedus’ Unlocking the Cage is in the midst of being scored by composer James Lavino, according to Lavino’s own personal site. Though the project has been taking shape at its own leisurely pace, I’d expect to see the film making its festival debut in early 2016.

Right behind, the American direct cinema masters is a Texan soon to make his non-fiction debut with Voyage of Time. Just two weeks ago indieWIRE reported that Ennio Morricone, who scored...

Mitch McConnell
McConnell Mired In Tough Fight
Mitch McConnell
Frankfort, Ky. — U.S. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell is gearing up for a tough re-election fight next year in Kentucky.

He wants to prevent one, too.

McConnell is trying to head off a Gop primary challenge by cozying up to the tea party. He's also trying to scare off potential Democratic contenders – actress Ashley Judd is one – by providing a glimpse of his no-holds-barred political tactics.

The strategy seems to be working, so far. No serious Republican opponent has emerged. Democrats haven't fielded a candidate yet, though Judd, a Kentucky native who lives in Tennessee, is considering a run. She would have to re-establish a residence in Kentucky before she could challenge McConnell.

The lack of an opponent hasn't kept McConnell from sounding an alarm over his potential vulnerability. It's a tactic rooted in reality and intended to help raise money.

"We know that President Obama's allies in...

Rise From Your Grave: Crytek USA Opens New Studio With Ex-Vigil Devs
By Joseph Leray

“Crysis” developer Crytek’s shopping spree in the wake of Thq’s bankruptcy is still in full force: the company announced yesterday that they’re opening a new studio in Austin and staffing it with ex-Vigil employees. It’s their ninth (ninth!) studio worldwide, and their first in the Us of A.

Former Vigil general manager David Adams will head up the new studio, and IGN is reporting that all 35 employees are former Vigil staffers. Vigil was scuttled last week, part of the collateral damage of Thq’s on-going bankruptcy.

While Crytek USA is being managed and run by ex-Vigil team-members, Crytek didn’t just buy the company -- they hired a bunch of recently unemployed game developers. “It’s more like a new start [for the team],” a Crytek rep told Gamasutra.

For his part, former Thq CEO congratulated everyone involved, thanking Crytek “for saving as much as they could of a fantastic team.

Vigil Games Get Lifeline From Crytek USA Corp
Crytek has announced its plans to open a new studio which will include staff from recently shut down Vigil Games.

Crytek's newest outfit will be situated in Austin, Texas and will be championed by Vigil co-founder David Adams. Over 30 ex-Vigil employees will operate out of Crytek USA Corp.

As reported by McV, Mr Adams expressed his excitement stating: "I'm thrilled to be a part of the newest Crytek studio, which will boast some of the brightest development talent in the industry.

"The studio's launch represents Crytek's commitment to delivering diverse and high quality content to players everywhere."

Great news for Vigil, however bad news still for fans of the Darksiders franchise; Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli stating his company will not be bidding on this IP.

Crytek did however purchase Homefront for $500,000 at the Thq auction last week.
