A Complete Cast and Character Guide for Sailor Moon
Image
Sailor Moon is the quintessential magical girl anime created by Naoko Takeuchi and published in Kodansha's shojo manga magazine. The series was immediately popular upon its 1992 release, and it still attracts new fans today who enjoy the original anime and manga alongside the current reboot Sailor Moon Crystal. Sailor Moon Crystal is a manga-loyal adaptation that has fewer filler episodes and more streamlined character arcs but the same central characters and plots.

The story of Sailor Moon follows the sweet and precocious protagonist Usagi Tsukino, who transforms into the intergalactic superhero Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon battles cosmic villains and eldritch horrors with the help of her fellow Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Mask. With a sprawling cast of characters spread out across the franchise, it can get hard to keep track of everyone who is introduced. From the first season to Sailor Stars, here is every important character from the original Sailor Moon anime.

Pixels Pacman Creator Twist Is Even Funnier With One Cameo Reveal
Image
Pac-Man's creator is one of the characters in 2015's video game comedy Pixels, and the twist regarding this character is even funnier due to the reveal of one other cameo. While Pixels is obviously a fictional movie, the film is full of all kinds of Easter eggs and references to real-life video game franchises and figures. The film's addition of Tru Iwatani is one of the biggest, although Pixels has another Pac-Man Easter egg that makes this cameo even better.

2015's Pixels is an Adam Sandler video game comedy, but rather than it centering on a specific video game, it is actually about an invasion from aliens that take the form of video game icons. Iconography from Tetris, Donkey Kong, and Pac-Man can be seen throughout the film, with a team of highly-skilled gamers getting pulled together by the President to defend Earth. However, one video game creator appears in the film,...

Official Trailer for James Mark's Sci-Fi Martial Arts Movie 'Kill Order'
He has no name. Only purpose. Rlj Entertainment has debuted an official trailer for a sci-fi action movie from Canada titled Kill Order, which is actually about a student who has latent special powers. From the description, this sounds like some martial arts film from Hong Kong but it's actually made by a Canadian stuntman named James Mark, making his feature directorial debut. His stunt group, Team 2X, has started making films and this is one of their latest offerings. Chris Mark (James' brother) stars as a troubled high school student who gains superpowers when a group of armed men break into his classroom. The full cast includes Daniel Park, Denis Akiyama, Melee Hutton, Jessica Clement, Jason Gosbee, and Alain Moussi. This film is pretty much just a fun way to show off cool martial arts stunt skills, and not much else. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for James Mark's Kill Order,...

Film Review: Instead of Geeky Greatness, Adam Sandler Sucks the Soul Out of a Badly Miscast ‘Pixels’
Chicago – The epitome of an idea that far outweighs its execution, “Pixels” is a bittersweet blunder that had all of the elements to be geeky great but ends up being cheesy mediocre. I could literally feel its potential for 105 minutes, but the $88 million film ultimately fails to realize it.

Rating: 2.0/5.0

At the heart of the issue is miscasting and specifically Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions. Even though he and his production company let me down in the critically panned “The Hot Chick,” “50 First Dates,” “The Longest Yard,” “The Benchwarmers,” “Click,” “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” and on and on, I honestly always give Sandler a chance even though his humor almost never works for me.

Despite my love for Pac-man, I was disappointed going into “Pixels” to see Sandler in such a lead role with his production company attached and his pals making bank with him. Still, I...

This Behind-The-Scenes Pixels Clip Came From Outer Space
Putting the mobility and practicality of a GoPro camera to good effect, Sony Pictures has today released a new behind-the-scenes clip for Chris Columbus’ upcoming actioner Pixels, which showcases some of the stuntwork and action scenes as earth is besieged by invading alien lifeforms.

What makes the Adam Sandler-led film so intriguing, though, is that these oncoming extra-terrestrials will take the form of beloved 80s video game characters. From Pac-Man to Donkey Kong, Galaga to Space Invaders, each and every trailer coming out of Sony Pictures’ budding blockbuster has been a blast of nostalgia for those who grew up controlling and/or fighting the pixelated creations.

Mind you, invading aliens isn’t the most preposterous plot point within Pixels, as it stars Paul Blart: Mall Cop‘s Kevin James as the Potus who will likely go down as one of the more bizzare picks for the Oval Office in quite some time.

Pac-Man’s A Bad Guy In First Pixels Clip
I’m more divided on Pixels than on any other blockbuster hitting screens this summer. On one hand, it boasts Chris Columbus at the helm, and initial trailers have made the alien-invasion action-comedy seem like quite a lot of fun. But on the other hand, it has both Adam Sandler and Kevin James, two of the most detestable comedians working in Hollywood today. Here’s hoping that their distinctively lazy brand of comedy doesn’t derail the movie.

In honor of the 35th anniversary of Pac-Man, Sony has unveiled a new clip from the flick, which isn’t really anything more than an extension of a scene we already saw in one of the film’s earlier trailers, involving Denis Akiyama as Pac-Man creator Tōru Iwatani. Still, it’s the only moment from the preview that really warranted any laughs, so there’s no harm in the studio sending it our way once more.

Grab a hamburger with Pac-Man in this clip from Adam Sandler's Pixels
We're coming up on the 35th anniversary of Pac-Man and Sony has released the first clip from Pixels in honour of the big fella. It's nothing entirely new, merely an extension of a scene from the trailers involving Denis Akiyama as Pac-Man creator Tōru Iwatani; but seeing as how it was the only gag that prompted the slightest bit of laughter from me originally...I'll take it. I'd like to feel a bit more optimistic that Pixels will actually turn...

First Pixels Clip: Professor Iwatani Has a Heart-to-Heart with Pac-Man
There's definitely something fun about the idea of aliens attacking Earth using gigantic, evil versions of the classic arcade game characters we know and love, but Sony just unveiled the very first Pixels clip in honor of Pac-Man's 35th anniversary and, well, it's just not very funny. There's definitely something clever about the whole Mini Cooper/ghost idea, but the father-son relationship between Pac-Man and his creator, Tōru Iwatani (Denis Akiyama), is a little too bizarre and isn't particularly funny either. Check out the first Pixels clip for yourself below. The film stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Monaghan and Brian Cox, and is due in theaters on July 24th. Here's the official synopsis for Pixels: As kids in the 1980s, Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), Will Cooper (Kevin James), Ludlow Lamonsoff (Josh Gad), and Eddie “The Fire Blaster” Plant (Peter Dinklage) saved the world thousands...
