Clive Barker Has “Such Sights to Show You” with New Makeup Design He Co-Created for Pinhead
Recently at the annual Monsterpalooza horror convention in Pasadena, Clive Barker had such sights to show attendees with a new makeup design for Pinhead that he co-created with artists Cris Alex and Stephen Imhoff Jr., and while a time lapse video and photos have already been unveiled, Barker has now revealed an additional photo of his new take on the Cenobite leader from his Hellraiser franchise.

Shared on Clive Barker's Instagram page, the new photo (courtesy of Monster Maker by Night) can be viewed below, along with the previous photos and time lapse video. The nightmare-inducing Hell Priest makeup came to life at the Ppi Premier Products and Skin Illustrator booth, with contacts provided by Eye Ink FX.

At Stan Lee's Stan Lee’s Comicon Comikaze in Los Angeles, Seraphim announced that the world of Clive Barker's Hellraiser will be further explored in Hellraiser: Anthology, a new graphic novel coming out in 2017 from a talented team of writers and artists.

Press Release (via Clive Barker Cast): Los Angeles, CA: Today, Clive Barker’s Seraphim, Inc. proudly announced Hellraiser: Anthology, an original graphic novel based within the world of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, at a panel at Stan Lee’s La Comic-Con. Seraphim Ink, Seraphim’s publishing branch, will be producing the comic in-house and distributing it via Barker’s online store, www.realclivebarker.com, both as a hardcover print edition and as a DRM-free Pdf download.

The graphic novel, due out in Spring of 2017, will be Seraphim’s first solo foray into the world of comics, and will feature several short stories from several creative teams.

Music Video Spotlight: Alphanaut
Every now and then we here at JustPressPlay stumble across a music video that's both acoustically pleasing and aesthetically mesmerizing, and when we do we like to share it with our readers. This time around that "distinction" belongs to Alphanaut, the one-man act of songwriter Mark Alan, and his entrancing, cosmic daydream video for his single "Back to the Stars". The sweet melancholy tune affords a great background for the beautifully rendered animation of dogs in space. That's right, dogs in space. "Back to the Stars" is the kind of easy listening that makes quick fans of people who stumble across it, and it's likely to stay in your head for a few days (if not musically, then at the very least visually).

We've included the video for "Back to the Stars" below, along with the ethereal "The Innocence of Time".

Tony Plana Latest for ‘Pain and Gain’; C. Thomas Howell Enters ‘Magic Hour’; Michael Winterbottom Adds Three to Latest
Production on Pain and Gain should get underway just about any day now, so I’ll bet this casting from Variety is one of the last Michael Bay‘s movie ever gets. (Unless he decides to take a dive in that modeling pool.) With this late-in-the-game addition, we’re hearing that Tony Plana (Ugly Betty, Lone Star) is coming aboard in the role of “Capt. Al Lopez of the Miami Police Dept., who begins to look into the kidnapping of Marc Schiller (Tony Shalhoub) at the urging of his old friend, private detective Ed Du Bois (Ed Harris).” It’s safe to assume you already know this, but — for the sake of consistency — the kidnappers in question are played by Dwayne Johnson, Mark Wahlberg, and Anthony Mackie.

Also coming from Variety is the news that Soul Man himself, C. Thomas Howell, will follow The Amazing Spider-Man with an indie crime...
