Filmax ha lanzado el primer tráiler y el póster de Campamento Garra de Oso, una comedia familiar de aventuras con corazón ecológico, dirigida por Sílvia Quer y escrito por Marta Armengol y Daniel González (La mujer dormida).

La historia sigue a Maia y Jan, dos niños de nueve años –ella, intrépida e imaginativa; él, urbanita y asustadizo–, que lucharán a contrarreloj para salvar el campamento de verano amenazado por el excéntrico constructor Sebastián Sebastián. Para impedirlo, buscarán sin descanso a un oso que creen que aún vive en el valle pero que nadie ha visto. Y no estarán solos: Fritz, una mofeta parlante divertida y gruñona, se sumará a la causa.

Ha terminado el rodaje de la comedia familiar “Campamento Garra de Oso”, que se ha extendido a lo largo de las siete últimas semanas en las provincias de Soria y Bizkaia. ‘Vestidas De Azul,’ Continuing Los Javis’ ‘Veneno,’ Adds Susana Abaitua,  Elena Irureta, Further Cast

Spanish SVOD service Atresplayer Premium has announced at the Berlinale Series Market a raft of new cast members joining the continuation of its award-winning trans series “Veneno,” which played on HBO Max in the U.S. to large acclaim.

Joining the cast of the seven-episode series “Vestidas De Azul” are supporting cast members Susana Abaitua (“Crazy about Her”), Elena Irureta (“Patria”), Luis Callejo (“Jefe”), drag artist Estrella Xtravaganza, Mercedes Sampietro and Anabel Alonso (“7 Vidas”), among others.

The announcement was made at a Q&a on Monday focused on the continuation of the series. It forms part of a Next from Spain event focusing on first looks at four new series.

Currently shooting, Atresmedia,Atresolayer Premium parent, says it plans to begin streaming the new series in the fourth quarter of the year.

The original series was based on the life of Cristina Ortiz Rodríguez (La Veneno), a famous trans personality and singer from Spain.

2015 Fantasia Film Festival to Feature Tales of Halloween World Premiere
Halloween is coming to Montreal this summer, as the star-studded (both in front of and behind the camera) anthology horror film, Tales of Halloween, is scheduled to make its world premiere at the festival. JeruZalem, Turbo Kid, Deathgasm, and many more movies are also slated to screen:

Fantasia Fest 2015 opens with ‘Ant-Man’, animated ‘Miss Hokusai’
The Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, now in its 19th year, is one of our favorite festivals around and a fan favorite for Sound on Sight readers for several years now. This year’s festival runs July 14 to August 4, and the first wave of films on the lineup has just been revealed.

Marvel’s highly anticipated Ant-Man, with Paul Rudd, will be the opening night film, along with the Japanese animated film Miss Hokusai. Miss Hokusai comes from Production I.G., known for its other classics including A Letter to Momo and Giovanni’s Island.

Fantasia ’15 will also be home to several World Premieres, including Tales of Halloween, a collection of 10 short horror stories, and Jeruzalem, a horror film from Israeli directors and Tiff honorees Yoav and Doron Paz (Phobidilia).

FilmSharks touts animation Possessed
Exclusive: FilmSharks International has come on to sell worldwide rights to the stop-motion feature Possessed (Pos Eso) from former Aardman Animations animator Sam.

Guido Rud will tout the Spanish-language feature and is preparing an English-language version of the film that recently earned a jury special mention at Sitges.

Possessed centres on a celebrated flamenco dancer who seeks the help of a defrocked priest to solve her son’s demented behaviour after his father dies in a freak accident.

On the eve of the market Rud said talks were ongoing with Us distributors and cast for the English version.

The Spanish voice cast features Santiago Segura from Spain’s smash Torrente franchise, as well as Alex Angulo, Anabel Alonso and Carlos Areces.
