At the very end of the “Gen V” Season 2 panel on Friday afternoon, the upcoming fifth and final season of “The Boys” showed its very first teaser to the crowd of attendees in Ballroom 20. It was a brief teaser, packed with tons of superhero violence and gore — as fans of “The Boys” have come to expect — and quick looks at the new and returning cast members.

The action unfolded quickly, but a couple of the highlights included a new supe character vomiting up what appeared to be a bloody hairball onto another character and someone having what could only be described as a violent explosion in a bathroom stall.

Seth Rogen, who’s an executive producer on “The Boys” and has appeared in a handful of cameos across the previous seasons, also made an appearance in the teaser.

Ahead of the fifth and final season, The Boys Season Four disc collection will be available on August 19.

Earning a limited theatrical release on Jun. 6 before transitioning to Apple TV+ a week later, Echo Valley stars Julianne Moore as a mother living a quiet life on a Pennsylvania farm, where she's confronted by her daughter, played by Sydney Sweeney, who comes to her in an alarming state amid an abusive relationship.

If there is one thing that The Boys knows how to get right, it is iconic characters. Across its four seasons, the show has created some of the most memorable moments in the superhero genre. While most of these situations consist of characters that have superpowers, the majority of the fight sequences gain weight because the titular team does not have superpowers.

While the lack of powers is what made the series appealing during its initial seasons, both Hughie and Butcher eventually also get powers, even if it was for a brief amount of time. Even Frenchie has his substance abuse, and Kimiko’s powers as a leg up in fights. With this, there is no denying that Mother’s Milk is the only character who knows how to beat Supes without powers.

The Boys is as flawed as it is diabolical. A series that exists more in the grey area, its characters are no different, each having their own share of wrongdoings that cannot be justified. But at the same time, there are some characters whose actions are more morally wrong in comparison to others.

While there are several such instances in the series, there is one scene that makes many question whether the real snake in Hughie Campbell’s life might actually be Marvin T. Milk, a.k.a. Mm. Given Billy Butcher’s unpredictability, Mm often appears to be the team’s moral compass, but is he really the good guy?

Despite a big-name cast, Guy Ritchie’s latest action-adventure, Fountain of Youth, is a surprisingly shallow experience. When it comes to showrunners, Eric Kripke is one of the most consistent. You know what to expect, and if you don’t, then you haven’t seen enough of his content. He’s a lover of urban myths, history, and downright absurdity, and he’s also a man who likes to create something timely and timeless all at the same time.

The majority of people will know Kripke for his CW series Supernatural, but he has worked on many other shows and movies before that. Per Screen Rant, the new image shows Krasinski and Portman in what looks to be a planning session, with both characters at a table and speaking to Domhnall Gleeson's character of Owen Carver. The film, directed by Ritchie and written by James Vanderbilt, follows a pair of estranged siblings as they go on a journey to find the fabled Fountain of Youth from mythological stories. The movie is scheduled to be released on Apple TV+ on May 23.

Krasinski, Portman and Gleeson are joined by Eiza Gonzalez, Ariyan Moayed, Laz Alonso, Carmen Ejogo and Stanley Tucci in the Apple TV+ movie. It's been described as being 'in the vein' of Indiana Jones, with Apple TV's official synopsis teasing the action that will unfold.

The Boys has never been afraid of staying in line with the times. In fact, it’s kind of the Prime Video series’ whole thing.
