Netflix’s latest crime thriller, The Gardener, is already stirring up the internet, pulling in seven million viewers within days of its premiere and leaving jaws on the floor. Spain might just be snatching the crime drama crown from the cold grip of Scandi-noir, if the frenzy around this dark gem is anything to go by.

In this six-part rollercoaster, Álvaro Rico brings Elmer to life, a man who masquerades as a humble horticulturist in his mother’s garden center. But if you dig a little deeper, you’ll find he’s more comfortable with bloodshed than begonias. His mother, chillingly portrayed by Cecilia Suárez, doesn’t simply turn a blind eye to her son’s double life, she cultivates it and waters his darker instincts like prized roses.

SAG Awards: ‘Black Panther’ Wins Best Ensemble; ‘Mrs. Maisel’ Sweeps And ‘This Is Us’ Repeats On TV Side – Complete List Of Winners
Disney/Marvel’s Black Panther won the marquee film ensemble prize Sunday at the 25th annual SAG Awards, topping a loaded field of fellow Oscar nominees and making it a serious contender for next month’s Academy Awards.

“It’s a pleasure to be celebrated by you, to be loved by you,” star Chadwick Boseman said to conclude a rousing speech onstage at the Shrine Auditorium. “And you know you can’t have a Black Panther now without a ‘two’ on it,” — a reference to a pending sequel to the pic, which grossed $1.35 billion this year.

Sunday’s kudos were the first chance since last week’s Oscar nominations for those in the race to establish frontrunner status. Black Panther certainly helped itself tonight against fellow Oscar noms BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star Is Born who were nommed tonight along with Crazy Rich Asians.

Stunt teams from Black Panther and Glow walked away with this year’s SAG Awards for outstanding action performances by film and television stunt ensembles.

The winners were announced Sunday on the red carpet during the live pre-show for the 25th Annual SAG Awards, with awards ambassador Harry Shum Jr. (Motion Picture Cast nominee for Crazy Rich Asians) and Sydney Sweeney (Drama Ensemble nominee for The Handmaid’s Tale) revealing the results.

The Screen Actors Guild has announced election results for positions on several of its regional boards, as well as for several regional representatives to serve on the union's national board of directors.In the Seattle branch elections, Abby Dylan was elected to a three-year term as a national board member. Alex Terzieff, Gary Schwartz, Rik Deskin, and Lashon Watson won two-year terms as council members at large.The Portland, Ore., branch elected Doug Baldwin, Helena De Crespo, George Fosgate, and Michelle Mariana to three-year terms as council members at large.In the Florida branch elections, Nancy Duerr was elected to a three-year term as a national board member.
