Suzette Andrea
- Make-Up Department
- Actress
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Suzette Andrea, started her
entertainment career first in acting and singing at the ripe age of
seven performing in plays and musicals. She had extensive singing
training in opera, rock, musicals, pop, and jazz for over 20 plus years
as well as acting in troupes such as The Actors Playground and Act One.
At the age of 19, and four auditions later, Suzette landed herself at
The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, where she studied
acting extensively for a semester. Later that same year, competing
against hundreds of other women, Suzette won the job as a lead singer
in a well-known Florida pop band, which toured in and around the
Eastern United States. After much singing and touring considerably,
Suzette then went back to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale,
Illinois and earned a BFA in both Acting and Singing. For three years
after college, Suzette began singing professionally with several
original rock and dance bands touring around the Midwest, and creating
her own music and lyrics for shows and recordings. In between the live
shows and radio appearances, Suzette did singing for studios, acted in
several commercials (Empire Rugs), starred in many independent films
(Morality, Destination Mars!, etc.), as well as appearing as the
leading roles in a generous amount of musicals and plays (A Chorus
Line, Anne of A Thousand Days, etc.).
In April of 1996, Suzette drove from Chicago to Los Angeles, California where she now resides, to pursue her love in acting and singing further. Her first year in Los Angeles created a whole new channel as an actress as she ventured out in other aspects of the creative entertainment profession, becoming a Makeup Designer and Theatrical Hair Designer. She decided to go to The Makeup Designory in Burbank, California to study the art of Journeyman Makeup Artistry and Theatrical Hair Styling, in which, in between her acting and singing jobs, she still executes for several commercials (Hyundai Electronics, Shiseido Cosmetics) print (Gap, Corroboree Hat company), infomercials/industrials (Gap Spring collection, Yes! Golf), fashion (E! Entertainment TV, Style.com), as well as independent feature films (Now You Know (2002)), television ("10's" USA Network, "Let's Talk Golf" Evinger Productions) and video's (Disney DVD's; Lovebug, Escape From Witch Mountain, etc.). This talent with makeup and hair enables Suzette to have an edge with her acting and modeling career because she is able to create anything, hide anything, and beautify anything for all of her characters in any of her acting and modeling projects, including her successfully selling 2003 Calendar.
