Nicolas Cage’s new movie recently began playing in theaters everywhere, but that didn’t stop the Oscar-winner from delivering a new update on one of his most intriguing upcoming projects. Cage has been tapped to reprise his role as Spider-Man Noir in the upcoming Prime Video series, Spider-Noir, which began filming late last year. Cage first made his debut as the character in animated form with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse before returning only in the post-credit scene of the sequel, Across the Spider-Verse. Information about Spider-Noir is being kept under heavy wraps — a concept any Marvel-adjacent project knows all too well — and during a recent interview with Collider's own Steve Weintraub to promote his new movie, The Surfer, Cage spoke on the dreaded Marvel vow of silence, and how he “can't say one word" about the secretive series

With Thunderbolts* just around the corner, let’s revisit one scene from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that never sat right. Bucky’s therapy moment, where he coldly tells a man he’s only making amends to feel better, felt wildly off. After everything we’ve seen him go through, this line felt like a slap in the face to his arc. It was written for drama, sure, but it undermined the depth Sebastian Stan brought to Bucky’s redemption.
With his return in Thunderbolts*, here’s hoping we get the layered, emotionally aware Bucky back.

Longlegs star Nicolas Cage voiced the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man Noir in the animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and we’re going to have the chance to watch him play the character in live-action in the upcoming MGM+ and Prime Video series that’s going by the title Spider-Noir. I’m especially excited to hear that Andrew Robinson is involved with this show, because he has been largely absent from our screens for way too long. The character actors has racked up over 100 credits over the course of a career that stretches back to 1969, with Dirty Harry, Mask, Cobra, Hellraiser, Shoot to Kill, Child’s Play 3, Trancers III, Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings, and The Puppet Masters being among the many movies you might have seen him in.

It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since Freaks and Geeks aired on NBC. The show featured a fantastic cast, touching, realistic writing, terrific music, and an almost unforgivable short run.
Many of the young cast members went on to have excellent careers despite NBC's pitiful treatment of the show. Stars like James Franco, Linda Cardellini, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, Busy Phillips, John Francis Daly, and Martin Star have all enjoyed robust careers in Hollywood. Shia Labeouf, Rashida Jones, Lizzy Caplan, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Ben Foster, Amy Aquino, Samaire Armstrong, Stephanie Erb, Leslie Mann, Kevin Corrigan, David Krumholtz, Jason Schwartzman, Matt Czuchy, and Mike White are just some of the talent that appeared in the shows all too brief run.

Academy Award winner Clint Eastwood’s legal thriller Juror #2, starring Nicholas Hoult (upcoming Superman), has been set to begin streaming exclusively on Max on Friday, December 20.
News of the premiere date follows the film’s quite limited theatrical release on November 1 to less than 50 theaters nationwide. The move saw distributor Warner Bros. Pictures draw criticism from many corners for not properly supporting perhaps one of the final films of a legendary 94-year-old director — a project that has also happened to garner positive reviews, from someone with a longstanding history with the studio.
Among the prominent voices in the filmmaking community who have advocated on Eastwood’s behalf is Guillermo del Toro, who recently took to rising social platform Blue Sky to discuss his experience with the film. Said Del Toro in part, “We saw [the film] at the Grove with a significant crowd that was vocal and responsive all the way. I...

Clint Eastwood understands America as an imperfect but noble project, its levers of power flawed but pulled toward justice and honor. If Juror #2 is indeed his last film behind the camera, its focus on truth and justice alone makes it a fitting one. So clearly influenced by Eastwood’s contrarian streak, it can feel more than a little naïve at times, sometimes even inscrutable, but the tautness with which this pulpy, tense, and undeniably curious legal drama has been crafted makes it easy to overlook its often preposterous plotting.
A recovering alcoholic and lifestyle magazine writer with an expectant wife at home, Justin Kemp (Nicholas Hoult) is selected to serve on the jury for the murder trial of a man accused of beating his girlfriend and dumping her body in a roadside gulch—a crime that he comes to believe is actually a hit and run committed by himself. Anyone who has served on a jury, or even been summoned to participate in jury selection, can recall the inevitable tension that direct participation in the justice system can provoke. Countless others might recognize the distinct hallmarks of the experience from an abundance of movies and TV episodes: the bailiff’s courtroom call to order, the jury selection process and the unpredictable uncertainties of the trial process.
But while the often-static setting of Juror #2, Clint Eastwood’s latest feature, will no doubt feel familiar, the narrative twists of Jonathan Abrams’ agile script add fresh perspective to the courtroom drama. Eastwood’s long list of awards and near-incomparable professional longevity will certainly stir interest in Warner Bros.’ Nov. 1 bow, even if the film itself remains a rather understated addition to the Oscar winner’s considerable career.

The filmmakers behind prominent documentaries on casting directors and the #MeToo movement have set their sights on another Hollywood subject: the evolution of the performers’ union SAG-AFTRA.
Director-producer Tom Donahue and producer Ilan Arboleda are working on a film about the transformation of the labor organization union between 2008, when the Writers Guild of America struck film and television studios and the Screen Actors Guild considered (but ultimately did not realize) their own work stoppage, and 2024, in the aftermath of the union’s landmark 118-day actors’ strike. The film will represent the culmination of interviews that have spanned a decade conducted by the filmmakers, whose project will additionally cover the union’s history and its longtime fight to create a middle class of actors, they shared with The Hollywood Reporter.

In the coming months, Clint Eastwood is going to premiere what could be his final movie, giving him one last chance to break an Academy Award record that has long been held by Martin Scorsese. At 94 years old, Eastwood has enjoyed a long and successful career as a Hollywood actor and director. Eastwood is best known for movies such as The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, Dirty Harry, and Gran Torino. And Eastwood is still very much in the movie business, and his latest film just received a release date.
Eastwood has earned retirement, and many are wondering whether this upcoming movie will be the director's last. Titus Welliver believes there is a weird similarity between his roles in Bosch and Watchmen: Chapter I. Welliver has played many characters over his 34-year career, from Losts Man in Black to the Silas Adams in Deadwood, but in the last few years he has become best known for perfectly embodying Michael Connellys Hieronymus Harry Bosch in both Bosch and Bosch: Legacy. Now he is playing another different role, voicing the shady private eye Rorschach in the animated two-part movie, Watchmen: Chapter I.

Quick Links What Is Bosch About? What Does Rhd in Bosch? What Does Cru Mean in Bosch? What Does Gsb Mean in Bosch?
Like any organized profession with a large clientele, police officers and law enforcers utilize abbreviated codes and easy-to-remember acronyms to communicate clearly and quickly. One of the most glaring TV examples includes the popular crime procedural Bosch and its spin-off Bosch: Legacy, the latter of which is poised to return to Freevee for a third season in late 2024. The original show follows Harry Bosch's skillful detective prowess and the latter focuses on Bosch's daughter Maddie climbing the ranks of the LAPD.
Both Bosch series incorporate specific police jargon and encoded lingo that tells them what dangers lie ahead and what crimes to look out for. In addition to the LAPD, several FBI acronyms are expressed on the show, written by crime reporter turned bestselling crime novelist Michael Connelly.
