Lowe books trip to CBS' 'Vegas'
Rob Lowe has been tapped to topline CBS' drama pilot Dr. Vegas. In other pilot casting news, Alex Desert has joined the cast of ABC's drama Harry Green and Eugene; John Cho has been tapped as a lead in NBC's comedy pilot The Men's Room; the WB Network has found its Prodigy in Cody Arens, with Stacy Edwards attached to play his mom; John Patrick Stewart and Josie Davis have joined the cast of ABC's untitled Jennifer Love Hewitt comedy pilot; and Cameron Richardson and Brent Weber have been cast in Fox's drama pilot Point Pleasant. Dr. Vegas, from Warner Bros. TV, CBS Prods. and Bender Brown Prods., centers on a Las Vegas casino in-house physician (Lowe). The recruitment of Lowe firms up the order for the pilot, originally picked up as cast-contingent. This season, Lowe toplined NBC's short-lived drama The Lyon's Den.
