‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Release Schedule: Are More Episodes on the Way?
Image
“Sullivan’s Crossing” Season 3 just wrapped up its run, bringing us back to the Crossing with 10 new episodes. The CW romance returned in May after a slight release date delay — and a few weeks after the season debuted in Canada, where it airs on CTV.

The finale, “Head to the Heart,” aired on July 17, bringing Season 3 to a close. The good news? “Sullivan’s Crossing” is already renewed for Season 4, meaning the wait for new episodes has begun again, and with the first two seasons climbing up the streaming charts after their Netflix debut, there’s an even bigger audience waiting for more.

Based on the book series by “Virgin River” author Robyn Carr, “Sullivan’s Crossing” follows neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) back to her small hometown after her dream life in Boston gets turned upside down. Back home, she tries to rebuild a relationship with her estranged father, Sully (Scott Patterson...

Ryan Kiera Armstrong Joins Buffy Revival as Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Toxic On-Set Past Resurfaces
Image
Ryan Kiera Armstrong is reportedly all ready to take up the mantle from Sarah Michelle Gellar in the upcoming Buffy reboot. Gellar portrayed the titular character in the 1997 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her performance not only charmed the audience but also went on to make a lasting impression on popular culture.

As such, news of the iconic show’s revival had millions of fans on edge. This new announcement about Ryan Kiera Armstrong joining Gellar as a castmate has only brought more joy to the fans. There is, however, one concern that has been hounding people who have been following Gellar and her show for years.

That is, the inherently toxic environment she spoke of pervaded the set of the 1997 series. Hence, many people are wondering if, much like the show, the toxicity, too, would make a comeback in the future.

Sarah Michelle Gellar claimed that the Buffy the Vampire Slayer...

'Buffy' Reboot Finds Its New Vampire Slayer in a Star Wars Alum
Image
In every generation, there is a chosen one...and in this generation, that chosen one is Ryan Kiera Armstrong. The Star Wars: Skeleton Crew star will lead the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. Variety reports that the actor will star alongside original slayer Sarah Michelle Gellar in the upcoming horror series.

Says Gellar, who will executive produce the series and recur as Buffy Summers, "From the moment I saw Ryan’s audition, I knew there was only one girl that I wanted by my side. To have that kind of emotional intelligence, and talent, at such a young age is truly a gift. The bonus is that her smile lights up even the darkest room." The series, which was announced earlier this year, will feature Buffy as a mentor to Armstrong's new slayer; any other plot details, or returning characters from the original series, are being kept under wraps.

So far, there are few details about the untitled Buffy the Vampire Slayer sequel series. Armstrong is set to play the lead, although details of her character are still under wraps, except that she's described...

‘The Old Way’ (2023): A Movie with Nicolas Cage to Start 2023 Well
Image
The Old Way is a Western directed by Brett Donowho, written by Carl W. Lucas starring Nicolas Cage.

Yes, Nicolas Cage will (probably) work with no breaks this year and already has premieres ahead such as Renfield (in which he will be Dracula with his usual mayhem). Meanwhile, we can see him here in a Western which although it might not go down in the History of Film, is decent enough as far as production and ambience.

And, also has an incomparable philosophical subject: Nicolas Cage wears a Stetson!

About the Movie The Old Way

A story about vengeance, shooting and… Nicolas Cage, who is still the absolute star of the B Series with the personality that he has after that Oscar (for Leaving Las Vegas), which more than one academic must regret having given to him. Laughing at his own stardom, he can enjoy making relatively good, bad and…...

Event Report: Dread Central hits Run For Your Lives
This past Saturday (10/20) this writer, along with actresses Natalie Victoria (DeadHeads) and Carlee Baker (The Woman)' made the drive from Hollywood to Temecula, CA, to participate in Run For Your Lives, a zombie-infested 5K obstacle course race and lived to tell about it.

So how does Run For Your Lives work? It’s pretty straightforward.

Stay at home with Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings, out on Blu-ray and DVD October 25th 2011. This brutal sequel is the latest in a plethora of horrors which have given us all a healthy fear of hillbillies. Here, we go deep into the backwoods to explore some of the best in redneck horror films...

Wrong Turn

Something which, in this case, turns out to be something of a dead-end for the majority of the group. After stumbling upon an old gas station, medical student Chris (unwisely) takes an old trunk road where he encounters a barbed wire trap and another gang of unfortunate travelers. As with so many outback horrors the premise of the film rests on this titular 'wrong turn', with the majority of the original group meeting a grisly end at the hands of a gang of cannibals in a cabin in the woods. Wrong Turn 4 (2011) Red Band Movie Trailer: Declan O’Brien
Wrong Turn 4 Red Band Trailer. Declan O’Brien‘s Wrong Turn 4 (2011) red band movie trailer stars Dean Armstrong, Blane Cypurda, Tenika Davis, Kristen Harris, and Scott Johnson. Wrong Turn 4‘s plot synopsis: “Follows a group of friends that decide to go snowmobiling during their winter break. They make a “wrong turn”, getting lost in a storm, and seek shelter in an abandoned sanatorium. They are completely isolated by the storm and are thankful they can get out of the elements. But the sanatorium has a troubled past, and some of its former patients still reside there and are not happy about the intrusion. In a deadly game of cat and mouse, the college kids must fight to survive the night.”

This looks like a dumb horror sequel with nothing going for it but copious nudity and gore…not that there is anything wrong with that.

Wrong Turn 4 and Not Having an Extra Liver to Spare: A Movie Review
Director/writer: Declan O'Brien.

Cast: Dean Armstrong, Sean Skene, Jennifer Pudavick, Tenika Davis, and Blane Cypurda.

Director Declan O'Brien (Wrong Turn 3) again sets out to direct a Wrong Turn film. This time the title is Wrong Turn 4 or Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings. This third sequel is really a prequel as events take place before the first film in 1973. The disfigured cannibals One Eye (Dan Skene), Three Fingers and Saw-tooth (Scott Johnson) escape from a a sanitarium. Then their path of destruction is set, with some cozy campers coming by for a visit in 2003. They will not stay long, however. Before you know it Wrong Turn 4 has turned into an enjoyable horror feature that is unfortunately hampered with elements of predictability.

These three killers, mentioned above, appear in Wrong Turn 3; so, you know that they will be surviving this film. Only one question remains: how steep will the body count be?...

Being from Minnesota, I am no stranger to snow and cold weather. However, after living in Los Angeles for almost four years, the only time I usually experience a frigid locale is when I go home for Christmas. It seems this year is the exception, though, because back in March, I was invited up to the Brandon, Manitoba, Canada set of Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings, which will be released on Blu-ray and DVD October 25. Aside from giving me a unique chance to dust off my winter gear, I was in for a bloody good time on the set. No, I didn't just slip into a British accent there for no good reason, I meant the set was really, really bloody.

After two flights and a two and a half hour car ride, we arrived at the Brandon Mental Health Care Centre in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, and I could see...

Exclusive: Declan O’Brien Talks Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings from the Set
“We’ve got five more days, and we’ve switched to days and interiors so I can see the light,” Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings director Declan O’Brien told us of the production while on the set this past March 7, 2011, in the below-zero clime of then wintry Brandon, Canada. “We completed all of the exteriors already so it’s going to be a pleasure.”

Serving as a prequel to the 2003 Rob Schmidt-directed killer hillbilly flick that launched the franchise and written and directed by O’Brien (who returns to the franchise following his helming of Wrong Turn 3: Left For Dead), this fourth entry not only serves to document the events that created the series’ rural cannibals but also presents the modern story of a group of wayward skiers who find themselves seeking refuge in an abandoned insane asylum during a blizzard.

With the shuttered and decidedly creepy...

Wrong Turn Poster Teases Bloody Beginnings
The Wrong Turn franchise (this will be the fourth in the series) is set to return with sort-of-prequel Bloody Beginnings.

The official synopsis goes like this:

At an isolated hospital deep in the West Virginia wilderness, three hideously deformed mutants go on a merciless killing spree. Now, decades later, this family of blood-thirsty cannibals is stalking new prey: a group of young skiers trapped by a blizzard.

The abandoned medical wards soon become killing fields as the panicked victims come face to face with a chilling choice: fight back or die. With bonus footage too graphic for theaters, Wrong Turn 4 takes you to the most terrifying place of all…the beginning.

Oooh! Ahead of the film’s release on DVD and Blu-Ray, a new poster has landed which you can check out below (via filmofilla).

Distributed by Fox Home Entertainment and due for release on October 18th, Declan O...
