Every August, the New York International Fringe Festival takes over theaters in the Big Apple. and this year along with it comes dancing, singing zombies. The musical Graveyard Shift (no relation to the Stephen King story) will premiere at the Minetta Lane Theatre as part of the 13th annual event.
In Graveyard Shift, the President of the United States has just informed the nation that a horribly contagious virus is spreading, turning citizens into bloodthirsty zombies. While the entire country is in panic mode, the story follows an ensemble of employees at the ValueVille Superstore working the titular late night schedule as they lock themselves in and cope with the rampaging ghouls threatening to get inside.
