'18 to Life' Season 1 On DVD On Jan. 18
CBC announced that the first season of the sitcom 18 to Life will come out on DVD on January 18, 2011. The show will also return for a second season this winter.

Tom Bellow (Michael Seater) and Jessie Hill (Stacey Farber) are two neighbours who've been living side by side since their childhood. They're both 18 years old. In the pilot, they decide to marry each other. However, their parents have reservations about this marriage and believe that it won't last.

The show also stars Erin Agostino, Alain Goulem, Angela Asher, Jesse Rath, Kaniehtiio Horn, Arielle Shiri, Peter Keleghan, Ellen David and Carl Alacchi.

18 to Life: CW TV Show Planned to Return in December
Last week, The CW pulled 18 to Life after just three weeks on the air. The series was confirmed as cancelled but one of the TV show's producers says that the network hasn't given up on the series yet.

18 to Life tells the tale of two best friends who end up getting married at an early age and, to the dismay of their families. The show's cast includes Michael Seater, Stacey Farber, Alain Goulem, Angela Asher, Jesse Rath, Kaniehtiio Horn, Arielle Shiri, Peter Keleghan, Ellen David, Erin Agostino, Carl Alacchi, Samantha Moore, and Raphael Cohen-Demers.

Tom and Jessie have their share of challenges as 18-year-old newlyweds. Unfortunately, their 18 to Life TV show has bigger problems. It's been cancelled.

18 to Life revolves around a pair of best friends who end up getting married at an early age, much to the dismay of the very different parents. The series features Michael Seater, Stacey Farber, Alain Goulem, Angela Asher, Jesse Rath, Kaniehtiio Horn, Arielle Shiri, Peter Keleghan, Ellen David, Erin Agostino, Carl Alacchi, Samantha Moore, and Raphael Cohen-Demers.

An import from Canada, 18 to Life debuted on August 3rd to just a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and only 988,000 viewers. The second episode dropped to a 0.3 rating and 846,000 total viewers. That put the pair of episodes in last place in both categories. Later episodes attracted even fewer viewers.

The CW debuted a new comedy this week called 18 to Life. Like The Bridge, The Listener, and Flashpoint, this series was originally produced for Canadian television. Canadian shows have had mixed success in the Us so, how did this one fare?

The 18 to Life series revolves around Tom (Michael Seater) and Jessie (Stacey Farber), a pair of 18-year-old best friends who have grown up next door to each other. After a game of truth-or-dare gets out of hand, they run away, get married, and eventually move into Tom's family's attic. As a result, the couple's two very different families -- one free-spirited, one uptight --must finally learn how to get along with each other. After a run this winter on CBC, a Canadian public TV network, the Canadian comedy series 18 to Life will be aired in the USA on CW, a TV network. This means that this show created by Derek Schreyer and Karen Troubetzkoy will premiere on CW on August 3 with back-to-back episodes airing from 9:00-9:30 Pm and 9:30-10:00 Pm.

CW to premiere new Canadian comedy series ‘18 to Life’ this summer
HollywoodNews.com: CW is going to be premiere a new Canadian comedy series about a modern-day Romeo and Juliet, entitled “18 to Life.”

In the premiere episode of “18 To Life,” when Tom and Jessie – 18-year-old next-door neighbors who have grown up together – run off and get married, their warring families are forced to become one in this hilarious multi-generational half-hour about relationships, true love, and who takes out the garbage. The series explores intimate relationships in combustible combinations as husband-wife, mom-dad, and in-laws all struggle to influence the newlyweds and control the extended family’s destiny.
