The match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2025 was a hot topic, featuring a spectacle of a street fight, marked by Brock Lesnar’s return. However, fans were visibly upset with how poorly the entire match was booked, making the challenger destined to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. Worse than that, Rhodes made the Goat’s finisher look like a joke.
During the match, Cena executed a total of 8 Attitude Adjustments to Cody Rhodes, including one on the announcer’s table, on the ramp, and an Avalanche AA, but to everyone’s surprise, he kicked out. The whole match looked like a joke because this is the same move that has defeated the likes of Aj Styles, Randy Orton, Dwayne Johnson, Big Show, and many more.
What made it frustrating was that the move not only lost its essence, but also how a double Cross Rhodes was enough to put away the champ.

It’s finally here. Cena’s historic title reign has ended, and Cody Rhodes is the new undisputed WWE Champion. But no one thought that the American Nightmare would use a banned move and try to outperform Cena. However, unexpectedly, he did and delivered a pile driver to Cena during his high-stakes Street Fight at MetLife Stadium.
The move, which, although effective, is believed to be the scariest inside the ring for the kind of injuries it has left to those who were unlucky enough to face it over the years.

The American Nightmare hit Cena with a Piledriver fairly early on in the match to assert initial dominance. The move established the fact that he isn’t going to hesitate in getting what he wants- the undisputed WWE title.

The wrestling and pop culture legend died on Thursday at the age of 71.
Bigger than Stone Cold Steve Austin, bigger than The Rock, bigger than John Cena, the world of professional wrestling has arguably never created a bigger star than Hulk Hogan. With his brightly colored red and yellow ring attire, his trademark handlebar mustache, his easily ripped-off shirt, and larger-than-life personality, Hogan became the face of the WWF (now the WWE) as it rose to national prominence in the 1980s. His charisma and family-friendly image telling kids to “Say your prayers, take your vitamins, and believe in yourself” made him a pop culture phenomenon.

Bret Hart has been one of those wrestlers who received mixed reactions from the crowd during his career as a professional wrestler. However, that doesn’t detract from the fact that The Hitman has been a part of some of the most iconic memories in the WWE universe.
One such moment came at WrestleMania 13 when Bret Hart was poised against Stone Cold Steve Austin in a no-disqualification submission match. While the encounter was as intense as it gets, The Hitman had some interesting thoughts on the historic clash.

Stephanie McMahon is basically WWE royalty; she’s been around the business since she was a kid and knows it inside out. Over the years, she’s played a massive role in shaping the company, especially when it comes to pushing the women’s division forward and giving women’s wrestling the spotlight it deserves.
Lately, though, Steph’s stepped out of the limelight and taken on more of a behind-the-scenes role. But she hasn’t exactly disappeared; she launched a podcast called What’s Your Story? with Steph McMahon, where she chats with big names in the wrestling world. Guests so far include legends like Randy Orton, WWE CEO Nick Khan, and rising stars like Dominik Mysterio.
There are plenty more wrestlers we’re hoping to see on future episodes, and honestly, hearing their personal journeys straight from them? That’s the kind of insight fans live for.

In Grown Ups 2 (2013), Adam Sandler reunites with his old buddies—Kevin James, Chris Rock, and David Spade—for another chaotic summer of slapstick humor and small-town shenanigans. Directed by Dennis Dugan, this sequel picks up three years after the events of Grown Ups (2010), where Lenny Feder (Sandler) and his childhood friends reconnect during a funeral weekend and rediscover their youth. The second installment ditches the vacation-home setting and brings the gang to Lenny’s hometown of Stanton, where they navigate fatherhood, awkward confrontations, and outlandish encounters—all leading up to an over-the-top 80s-themed party.
While Grown Ups 2 was panned by critics for its lowbrow humor and thin plot, it stands as a classic example of the 2010s Adam Sandler comedy era. A time when Sandler, through his Happy Madison productions, churned out a string of goofy, feel-good ensemble comedies that didn’t always age well but continue to find life in rewatch culture.

The Marine, the 2006 WWE Studios action flick that launched John Cena’s acting career (and currently holds a less-than-stellar 17% on Rotten Tomatoes), is suddenly climbing the ranks on streaming — hitting #8 on Prime Video in the U.S. this week. Not bad for a movie Cena once admitted he was “not ready for.”
In a candid sit-down with GQ, Cena reflected on his big-screen debut, which began with a last-minute call and a very unexpected mission.
“The Marine was a wonderful experience and it’s one I’ll never forget. You can’t have a journey without the first step, and the first step is always the boldest. They say timing is everything, and I was not ready for the opportunity I was given.”

WWE’s Mount Rushmore: The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Many Legends Missing From Idris Elba’s List
The recent interaction Idris Elba had with John Cena has dropped a bombshell in the professional wrestling community. The Suicide Squad fame has announced a Mount Rushmore list of WWE legends of his own, and it’s baffling, not only because it’s far from what the popular opinion is, but also because the list lacks seriousness.
The list became a major talking point because of those legends and veteran performers he did not take into account, more than those he included in the list. Amongst others, he did not even consider, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels stood out as the most astonishing ones.

John Cena didn't base his Heads of State character on any specific presidents. The 48-year-old WWE legend stars as fictional action movie star turned US President Will Derringer in Ilya Naishuller's new blockbuster, and he insisted a lot of the characterisation came from a simple place. He told Extra: "When you attach a name like the President of the United States, just when I say those words, everyone has a vision of what that means to them."And then you read the script and you take terms like aloof, super positive, really stubborn, overly aggressive, like, I can take those personality traits and put together an idea what I think we should look like, and then the last secret sauce is be coachable."When the director comes up and is like, ‘Hey, all those ideas, throw them out. Let's try one like this.’ As long as you're coachable, we'll...

Ksi is not amongst those who turn the other way at the face of a contest. Be it the time when he fought other influencers inside the boxing ring, or when he tried his hand at exploring business opportunities. So, when WWE decided to turn down his request to use Christian’s theme song at Fanatics Fest, he attempted to revive it himself by doing something unthinkable these days.
The co-owner of Prime Hydration was one of the key figures at the Fanatics Fest. His love and admiration for WWE superstars became evident even before he arrived on the centre stage, because WWE entrance music was all that was in his mind while he was gearing up for the appearance. The best part? When he revived the largely forgotten, remarkable music designed for Christian’s arrival inside the squared circle.

Kurt Angle might be one of the most gifted wrestlers to ever step foot in a WWE ring. Over the years, his skills and charisma have inspired generations of fans and performers alike. But interestingly, Angle once admitted there was one area where he fell short, something guys like The Rock and John Cena totally nailed: the business side of things, especially selling merch.
He talked about how his character just wasn’t built in a way that made merchandise fly off the shelves. He played the ultra-serious “wrestler’s wrestler,” which didn’t exactly scream t-shirts and foam fingers. Because of that, he struggled to move merchandise the way other stars did.

One big reason WWE became a global sensation is the sheer intensity and hard-hitting action. Since ancient times, we’ve seen that nothing grabs attention quite like a bit of raw competition, and that might explain why contact sports are among the most popular worldwide. WWE has had its share of brutal moments over the years, with plenty of injuries along the way.
Even though matches are carefully planned and safety measures are in place, accidents still happen. Some injuries have been so severe that they’ve ended the careers of incredibly talented wrestlers.

WWE has evolved a lot over the years, shifting its focus from all-out brutal matches to ones that highlight athleticism and in-ring skills. While this change has annoyed some old-school fans, it has actually helped protect wrestlers and reduce injuries.

The Last WWE Star From Attitude Era: Why John Cena and Randy Orton Do Not Belong to the Best WWE Era
WWE has gone through various time periods in its illustrious four-decade-long history. The true image of a global juggernaut began to form in the golden age of wrestling that started in the late 1980s and lasted until the mid-1990s. Following that, WWE entered the most important period that ensured their survival and changed the face of sports entertainment forever.
The glorious age of wrestling came to be known as ‘The Attitude Era’, which saw the rise of megastars like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Triple H, and countless others. However, from the important timeline, only one superstar is a part of the active roster, and to the surprise of many, it is not either John Cena or Randy Orton.

The world of entertainment wrestling is full of talent, and in recent years, WWE has been signing more and more names to add depth to its roster. However, having talent is easy, but finding an attraction is rare. One can argue that the current locker room has the best attractions in Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, LA Knight, and many more.
However, they will all turn into dust when they come face to face with the evergreen charm of Rikishi. Hardcore fans of the show know how the wrestler can be quite an entertaining figure and was perhaps the most adaptable figure on the roster.

For a while now, Goldberg’s farewell has been a boiling point in WWE. Time and time again, The Myth has teased his return to WWE for one final time before hanging up his boots once and for all. However, it is yet to be seen when he finally returns. The man who revolutionised WCW with a streak that needed an electric shock to be eventually broken by Diesel, ran riot in his heyday at WCW and then took it up a notch in WWE as well.
His iconic match-up with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 20, with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the referee was quite the talk of the town. However, he took a long hiatus from the company and eventually returned to WWE in 2016, winning the WWE Universal Championship first in 2017 and then in 2020. It was in 2018 that he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for his endless contributions to the company.

In the world of pro-wrestling, multiple components come together to hit the chord of perfection. One of the key ones out of the many is definitely optics. How one looks, what are the impacts of a phenomenal optic, it determines how good a match is going to be. Pro-wrestlers with good optics have always been the topic of hot discussions, whether it is The Rock, John Cena, Triple H or The Undertaker.
Ever since the world started spinning around style, if there is one element that has been key in shaping up the optics of the entire planet, it is one’s hair. Whether it is Thor of the Marvel Universe flaunting his golden blonde hair or the Joker of the Dark Knight, good hair has always been something to brag about.

Making it in WWE is no easy feat; hundreds of wrestlers try their luck every year, but only a handful truly succeed in the long run. It takes talent, relentless perseverance, in-ring skills, and a personality that hooks the audience, and of course, having a memorable name.
Many wrestlers have switched up their names in hopes of turning their careers around. For some, like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin, the change was a game-changer. While some wrestlers saw a decline in their careers after a change in name.

WWE has been seeing some of the most compelling rivalries for decades. Whether it was Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan, The Rock vs Steve Austin, or John Cena and Randy Orton squaring off, these top-tier feuds have captivated the audience like no other. However, back in the day, kayfabe was heavily maintained both on and off-screen by these superstars.
The formula adopted by former WWE Chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon, made professional wrestling sensational among the fanbase. However, in the modern era, Triple H’s regime has completely ruined that concept, and a prime example has been how the on-screen rivalry between the women’s division stars, Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, completely flipped off-screen.

He has reintroduced moves that were previously banned for years, such as the infamous piledriver, and allowed wrestlers the freedom to wrestle and be themselves. Let’s take a closer look at Triple H’s first more positive change in WWE and what it could mean for the wrestling fans.

The Undertaker is widely regarded as one of the most professional wrestlers in WWE history. Throughout his career, he remained committed to his dark, grumpy, and mysterious persona, rarely breaking character. However, there were moments when even he nearly slipped due to the antics of other WWE superstars, especially Kurt Angle and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
One of the most famous instances occurred during the iconic Alliance vs. WWE storyline, where The Undertaker almost laughed because of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s antics.

Stone Cold Steve Austin is undeniably one of WWE’s biggest superstars; he is one of he main reasons behind transforming the company into a household name. For years, he was the face of the promotion, embodying the fearless, hard-hitting attitude that defined an era. Unlike many modern superstars, Austin was never afraid to push his limits for the company, a dedication that today’s wrestlers rarely match.
This was proved by Seth Rollins’ comments in the Biography: WWE Legends episode covering Austin’s final match. Rollins admitted in the documentary that he would never dare to do what Austin did at WrestleMania 38, coming out of retirement after 19 years to face Kevin Owens.

Triple H and The Rock are among the very few wrestlers who made the most out of their careers and went beyond just being wrestling stars. Triple H, or Paul Levesque, became the chief content officer of the WWE, managing all the creatives, whereas The Rock became a board member with the Tko, the parent company that owns WWE.
Both of them had experienced immense success, but everyone has certain pitfalls in their careers. Triple H recently appeared on a podcast with Logan Paul and told him about one of his biggest regrets. ‘The Game’ wanted to face ‘The People’s Champion’ at the biggest event of the WWE in the whole year, WrestleMania.

Vince McMahon has long been a consequential figure in WWE. While he gets the credit for transforming WWE from humble beginnings to the most successful professional wrestling company in history, he also gets criticized for his abrasive demeanor and several controversial decisions made during his tenure as the company’s chairman.
His in-ring performances, in addition to his executive role, have also drawn significant attention. Fans witnessed a display of his physical prowess when he faced his son, Shane McMahon, in a high-stakes clash at WrestleMania X-Seven.

The 70s were a time when television would seem to try anything at least once. Science Fiction was one of the main genres where this was very true. Thanks to the success of series like Star Trek, and Lost in Space there was a deluge of, off beat and actually good genre TV (as we explored on last week’s Land of the Lost episode). Typically it was with some sort of toy tie-in or angle to get children to watch and/or buy something. And just wait until Star Wars happened.
But, the early 70s would find a new kind of hero to grab the hearts and minds of kids across the country and he’d bring with him some of the coolest toys around. Because, he was literally made up of metal and plastic himself.

Triple H is the Chief Content Officer of the WWE and has one of the highest-ranking positions in the organization. He is only superseded by CEO Nick Khan and Tko Chairman Ari Emmanuel. Hhh is also a Hall of Famer and a multi-time world champion. Many say these reigns and positions were handed to him but nobody remembers the work he put in to get to that position in life.
The 1996 Msg Curtain Call almost put a full stop to Triple H’s career. He was the one who faced the consequences for that event. Making a name for yourself in WWE isn’t easy. Many wrestlers start strong but later struggle to stay relevant and fade from the spotlight. Some take advantage of their opportunities, building successful careers and becoming superstars. In contrast, others can’t keep up the momentum and end up being remembered for just one big match.
Over the years, numerous highly talented WWE stars have struggled to leave a lasting impact, despite their generational skills. In many cases, devastating injuries have played a major role in their downfall. Another significant factor that has derailed the careers of countless wrestlers in the promotion is the use of steroids, which has led to irreparable consequences for many.

During a recently aired episode of The Ariel Helwani Show, WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin mentioned a certain regret from 2001 while also mentioning that he should never have turned heel to begin with. Austin mentioned that if we are going to remember anything from John Cena’s own heel run in 2025 while on his retirement tour, it would be simply the fact that he loves the business, which will mean he has no regrets.
This led to further discussion and analysis of the reasons for his heel turn not working, and also whether Cena’s somewhat controversial heel tactics, cheating to win at WrestleMania 41 and Backlash 2025, would ultimately overshadow his career or brand his heel turn and possibly turn me off even more down the line.

Kurt Angle has been one of the most iconic legends in the WWE. Angle became a phenomenon in the late 1990s after winning a gold medal in 1996 in freestyle wrestling. At this time, he had to decide on his upcoming journey, and there were two options available to him: the WWF and Ecw.
Back in the old days, both of these franchises were competing and investing in superstars for a bright future. Ecw almost got its hands on Kurt Angle. However, one segment was so horrific for Angle that it drove him away from the franchise. This was not anything extraordinary; it was just wrestling, and it happened again in the WWF after Kurt Angle joined it.

John Cena announced his retirement on July 6, 2024, and has been on his retirement tour since then. Things got spicy when he emerged victorious at the night of the Elimination Chamber 2025 and turned heel on Cody Rhodes and the whole WWE fan base.
He escalated this further and eventually became a 17-time world champion on the night of SmackDown, defeating Cody Rhodes with the help of Travis Scott. It was meant to be celebrated, and John Cena came out to raise his belt at Raw after the match; however, his celebrations were short-lived as Randy Orton attacked him with a vicious Rko.

Vince McMahon laid the strong foundation of the WWE. Though he is out of the business and dealing with legal issues, when he was at the center of the business, he was a master at it. Vince McMahon has curated several iconic storylines in the WWE that are still remembered to this day.
To build such a huge empire, one has to work days and nights, and that’s exactly what McMahon did to make WWE great. There were many turbulent times in the WWE, including the competition from the rival wrestling franchise. However, McMahon made sure that his work ethic always surpassed that of his competitors.
Surprisingly, the boss did all that with hardly any sleep, and maybe that was the reason he went to the top. Kurt Angle was featured in the Joe Rogan podcast, where he discussed the busy schedule of the former head of the WWE.

At Elimination Chambers 2025, The Rock, continuing his final boss persona, triggered a brutal betrayal. John Cena sold out to him and brutally attacked Cody Rhodes. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the hottest WWE star during the Attitude Era. He was the badass baby face the crowd wanted and got. From 1997 to 2000, he was one of the company’s faces (alongside The Rock). WWE and Stone Cold were inseparable. Yet, something went wrong in 2002. After a botched heel turn a year earlier, it looked like Stone Cold was missing something.
He had done everything, and now, it looked like there was nothing left to do. In June 2002, Stone Cold walked out of the company controversially. He did it just before an episode of Raw, too. Why did he do it? What did WWE do that made Stone Cold angry enough to walk out of the company?
Stone Cold was already frustrated with his booking for a few months
In 2002, Austin was still as big as ever, but his popularity and success had started to reach their summit.
