Crypto Bros Celebrate Themselves at Bitcoin’s Most Maga Convention Yet
Image
In another time, the Bitcoin 2025 convention at Las Vegas’ Venetian hotel casino last week might have been most memorable for its cringeworthy moments. There was a group that wore shirts with the slogan “Jesus Loves Bitcoin” on the back. David Bailey, CEO of the parent company of conference host Bitcoin Magazine, tried to buy bitcoin in an on-stage transaction — and it didn’t work. Interludes featured music by a string quartet; they covered the techno instrumental “Sandstorm” by Darude. The company Realbotix demoed Aria, an uncanny humanoid robot, who stood...

Passions Alum Bruce French Died At 79
Image
Soap opera veteran Bruce French has died. The actor who portrayed Father Lonigan on Passions was 79 years old. French was the husband of Days of Our Lives alum Eileen Barnett.

Rest In Peace

The Hollywood Reporter reported that French passed away on Friday in Los Angeles due to complications from Alzheimer’s. He was diagnosed with the disease four years ago. French was born on July 4, 1945, in Reinbeck, Iowa. He earned a degree from the University of Iowa, and he served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Finally, French studied acting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

On Passions, French portrayed the blind Father Lonigan for the show’s entire nine seasons from 1999 to 2008. On the soap, baddie Alistair Crane (David Bailey; John Reilly) caused the Father to lose his sight.

He began his acting career in 1972 in the off-Broadway play, The Shadow of a Gunman.

Bruce French, ‘Passions’ Actor and a Veteran of the Stage, Dies at 79
Image
Bruce French, the dependable character actor who did lots of work for the theater and portrayed Father Lonigan, the blind priest on the soap opera Passions who somehow could sense that evil was imminent, has died. He was 79.

French died Friday in Los Angeles of complications from Alzheimer’s, his wife of 34 years, longtime Days of Our Lives actress Eileen Barnett, told The Hollywood Reporter.

The Iowa native, who has more than 150 acting credits on IMDb, guest-starred for David E. Kelley on such shows as L.A. Law, Picket Fences, Ally McBeal, The Practice, Boston Public and Boston Legal, and he appeared on three Star Trek series — The Next Generation, Voyager and Enterprise — and in the 1998 film Star Trek: Insurrection.

Plus, he played the wealthy neighbor of Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver’s shifty characters on both seasons of the 2007-08 FX drama The Riches.

King Charles snubs iconic candy brand: ‘Seal of Approval’ revoked
Royal (2025)
King Charles is officially parting ways with an iconic candy brand that has some disappointed with the move.

Prince William has been taking charge of some public duties for King Charles while the King works behind the scenes on different projects, including issuing and nonrenewing official royal warrants.

Companies that provide goods and services to the royal household are issued royal warrants, and the royal warrants website confirms that over 800 warrant holders exist.

These warrants are officially called the Royal Warrant of Appointment, and companies holding them can display them at their places of business as a sign of recognition that they also sell to the monarchy.

The reigning monarch can renew or not renew these warrants; in this case, King Charles has the final say.

King Charles has formally removed the candy manufacturer Cadbury from the list of royal warrants, which they had been on for 170 years.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster: All Survivors Locations and How to Save Them
Image
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, the latest released Dead Rising version, has loads to handle once players jump into the gameplay. While the game has numerous zombies to fight, it has uncountable content to explore. Along with these, players must complete quests, including finding certain people called Survivors or fighting Psychopaths. Sometimes, both activities can be included in one mission.

These activities are thrilling, for sure. However, there’s a catch that players must keep in mind. These rescue missions must be done in the three in-game days and within the specific time frame. That’s tough and requires some help. So, below we have listed all the rescue processes of the Survivors.

How To Rescue All Survivors In Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
Image
Quick Links How To Save All September 19 Survivors How To Save All September 20 Survivors How To Save All September 21 Survivors

There are 49 survivors that can be rescued in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. You are given a strict time limit as you explore the Willamette Parkview Mall over three days. Frank will be given Scoops, which are radio calls from the janitor Otis. These are essentially quests to go find people, defeat dangerous psychopaths, or both in one objective. If you find a survivor, you must escort them to the Security Room without dying.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is, for the most part, the same classic game with a new coat of paint. Capcom themselves even pointed out that the title was already remastered in 2016. This means there arent many quality-of-life features, and gameplay is still brutal overall. It would be best if you waited until your second or third playthrough...

Crypto Giants Want to Buy Washington. They’re Bankrolling Trump to Make It Happen

Just before the three-day Bitcoin 2024 conference got underway in Nashville this week, Tyler Winklevoss, the bitcoin billionaire who founded the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini with his twin brother Cameron, had harsh words for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris. He was incensed that after years of tension between the Biden administration and the crypto industry — many in the space have complained of a regulatory crackdown — the vice president had declined an invitation to the annual bitcoin extravaganza.

John Lennon’s Psychedelic Eye Mosaic From His Swimming Pool At Kenwood To Be Offered At Bonhams
John Lennon and The Beatles in A Hard Day's Night (1964)
London – A psychedelic eye mosaic commissioned by John Lennon for the swimming pool at his Kenwood home in Surrey in 1965 leads Bonhams’ Rock, Pop & Film sale on Wednesday 29 November at Knightsbridge, London.

Claire Tole-Moir, Bonhams Head of Popular Culture in London, commented: “This monumental mosaic, commissioned by John Lennon is a striking example of the Beatle’s artistic vision and influences. Lennon’s Kenwood home in the English countryside was a place of respite from all the public attention he experienced during the height of The Beatles’ popularity. It’s said Lennon would spend idle hours near the swimming pool and that the mosaic could even be seen from his favoured ‘sunroom’ at the top of the house. With Kenwood still under private ownership, it is very rare to see anything from when John Lennon lived there, making the ‘Psychedelic Eye’ mosaic an incredibly important artefact of Beatles history.”

Toyota claims battery breakthrough that could boost electric cars
Image
London, July 4 (Ians) Toyota says it has made a technological breakthrough that will allow it to halve the weight, size and cost of batteries, in what could herald a major advance for electric vehicles, a media report said.

The world’s second largest carmaker was already pursuing a plan to roll out cars with advanced solid-state batteries, which offer benefits compared with liquid-based batteries, by 2025, The Guardian reported.

On Tuesday, the Japanese company said it had simplified production of the material used to make them, hailing the discovery as a significant leap forward that could dramatically cut charging times and increase driving range, the report said.

“For both our liquid and our solid-state batteries, we are aiming to drastically change the situation where current batteries are too big, heavy and expensive,” said Keiji Kaita, President of the Japanese auto firm’s research and development centre for carbon neutrality.

“In terms of potential,...

My Generation review – Michael Caine on what the 1960s were all about
Twiggy, Joan Collins and Paul McCartney reminisce with the Alfie actor about a decade of smiley hippies and grumpy people in bowler hats

The enduring mystery of what Michael Caine is thinking and feeling remains intact during his watchable, if somewhat exasperating docu-reminiscence of 1960s swinging London. It certainly doesn’t say anything revealing or new about the man itself. With many images of smiley hippies and apoplectic people in bowler hats, the film is narrated by Caine in his inimitably measured and inscrutably deadpan style: the script is evidently the work of Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais whose 60s TV classic The Likely Lads sadly goes unmentioned.

David Bailey, Joan Collins, Sandie Shaw, Twiggy and Paul McCartney are interviewed here by Caine, though oddly and disappointingly off camera, their voices the accompaniment to old footage. Caine has said that he didn’t want the audience distracted by these faces all looking shockingly older.

My Generation Review
Michael Caine’s career spans across a staggering 65 years. He along with a handful of others, during the sixties, broke down the barriers of the working-class stigma to take the swinging sixties by storm. Caine’s My Generation takes us on a revolutionary journey with poignancy and nostalgia, with the aid of a few friends; audiences join him on a trip down memory lane which transformed the world forever.

With Caine sat in a modern-day studio, firmly placed as narrator, the documentary is sectioned off into three pivotal parts, Something in the Air, I Feel Free and All Was Not as It Seemed. The first focusing on the class divides amongst the medium of entertainment. The introduction and rise of working-class talents that involve just a few iconic faces such as Twiggy, Keith Richards, Marianne Faithfull, Paul McCartney, Vidal Sassoon and David Bailey pop up at every given chance. The...
