ABC's sci-fi adventure drama Lost is considered one of the best shows of all time, and its popularity continues even over a decade and a half after its finale in 2010. Luckily, fans have a new replacement show in MGM+'s From.
The two sci-fi shows share several similarities, whether it's because of their shared creative minds, the common themes, or supernatural creatures that are either good or evil. However, From is not just a replacement for Lost because of its similarities, but also because both brought something fresh and original to the genre. Although Lost wrapped over a decade and a half ago,From will continue with Season 4, and the show is currently making a splash in the charts, FlixPatrol reports.
From premiered in 2022, and although it features a near-perfect score from the critics, the series is still criminally underrated. The series released its most recent season on Sept. 22, 2024, and,...

Horror stories bring chills to the bones and the MGM+ horror hit From often has viewers feeling that way. It is also a never-ending maze, week after week of twists and turns that could end in a horrific death or a frankly unexpected plot twist. Season 3 of the horror series ended on a cliffhanger, but thankfully, it sets up Season 4 which was renewed in the lead-up to that finale, to start answering some of those lingering questions. As we look forward to the show's return, a new filming update has come from one of the show's stars, which should calm some of its more impatient fans.
From Season 4 is expected to arrive sometime later this year or in early 2026, and it would seem like the join towards that has begun. In a post shared on Instagram, Elizabeth Saunders, who plays Donna in the MGM horror television show, has teased fans that season 4 is currently underway.

Back in 2000, I made the eight-hour journey to Red Bank, New Jersey to attend Kevin Smith‘s Vulgarthon film festival – and one of the movies I was blown away by that day was writer/director Vincent Pereira’s thriller A Better Place, which Smith executive produced alongside his longtime producing partner Scott Mosier. I was enthralled by this movie, which a friend of mine once described as the most realistic movie he had ever seen about troubled teenagers / teen violence. So when Synapse Films released it on DVD the following the year, I immediately bought a copy so I could watch the movie again and again. And listen to the commentary over and over (and listen to the hidden Easter egg “drunken goof” commentary even more). Now, Smodcastle Cinema has brought a director’s cut of the film to Blu-ray and copies are available for purchase at This Link! If...

From star Catalina Sandino Moreno is completely in the dark about the show's mythology and story arcs. "Season 3 finished in such a way that it just opened up so many doors, and you don't know where the story is going to go," she tells Gold Derby.

In TV horror, appearances can be deceiving, where the most spine-chilling narrative hides behind a perhaps simple narrative or even an underwhelming title. Right now, one television show has a horrifying and secret weapon hidden beneath the veneer of its awkward title, a name that's an Seo nightmare but doesn't summon actual nightmares which horror fans would be interested in.
Premiering in 2020, FROMwas created by writer John Griffen, who was credited with writing an episode of Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone. It's also accompanied by a very cool theme song, a cover of "Que Sera, Sera," recorded by none other than the American alt-rockers, the Pixies. But with all this going for it, there's still no shying away from the fact that the scariest show on TV has the worst title.

Season 3 of the MGM+ horror hit Fromleft viewers with shocking reveals, twists, and a horrific death that finally introduced the series' big bad at last. With a Season 4 renewal in the lead-up to that finale, it set itself up to start answering some of those lingering questions either sometime later this year or in early 2026, depending on the start of production. Now, we have a better idea of when that cliffhanger ending will finally be addressed. An inside scoop from TV Line reportedly confirms that the series will return to Nova Scotia for filming on its fourth run this summer. Since Season 3 took a little over five months to shoot before releasing four months later, that would almost certainly mean that Harold Perrineau and the rest of the cursed town will be back sometime shortly after the new year.

One of the best exports from MGM+ is its horror series, From, which wrapped its third season run in November 2024. The most recent season of the popular horror sci-fi series ended with the death of a major character when Jim (Eion Bailey), had his throat slit. However, the season finale didn't end without hinting at the potential of that storyline being reversed. Hence, why, the prospect of an already greenlit fourth season is incredibly exciting. So when might we get back to the Town? Series executive producer, Jeff Pinkner, has offered up a cautiously optimistic update.

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."
From season 3 made a popular fan romance come true at a brutal cost. Given the many horrors that From's characters constantly have to face in the Town, romance is often not at the forefront of the series. At the same time, romance has blossomed and been rekindled in the Town. Ellis Stevens (Corteon Moore) and Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) would never have met, let alone fallen in love and gotten married, if they had not become trapped in the Town.
When the Town trapped Marielle (Kaelen Ohm), she was unexpectedly reunited with her fiancée, Kristi Miller (Chloe Van Landschoot), who had been missing for months. Meanwhile, Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey) were preparing to get divorced before they became stranded in the Town with their children but have since rebuilt some of their marriage.

The Talismans are rocks with engravings on them that can protect From's characters from the Town's nocturnal monsters, but only if the Talismans are placed inside an enclosed space. Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."
The From season 3 finale reveals that Julie Matthews (Hannah Cheramy) is a "story walker," which has major implications for season 4. Julie's story took an unexpected turn in From season 3, episode 8 when she returned to the dungeon ruins and began to time travel. She first saw herself, Randall (A.J. Simmons), and Marielle (Kaelen Ohm) being tormented by the Music Box Monster during From season 2's ending. She then traveled back to the season 2 premiere as it became clear that Julie was always the one who threw the rope to Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau).
Before Julie was pulled out of the ruins, she also traveled back to the night her mother, Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno), and Victor Kavanaugh (Scott McCord) escaped the tunnels where From's monsters reside when it is daytime. The last thing Julie heard before returning to...

“You can fall in love with a character, you can get really emotionally invested,” declares “From” star Harold Perrineau, “but they’re just like, ‘yeah, we don’t care, sorry, bye!” For our recent webchat he adds with a laugh, “We are trying to hurt your feelings!” referring to the series’ growing list of casualties as evidence that no character is safe on the horror drama. “Lately it’s been a steady stream of people who are like ‘I love ‘From,’ but if they kill Boyd, I’m gonna be mad!’ Like, I can’t control that!” he laughs. “It’s been really exciting to see that it’s really getting into people’s homes and they’re really digging it.” Watch our video interview above.

Warning: Major Spoilers ahead for the From season 3 finale! From star David Alpay, who portrays Jade, has reacted to the show's massive season 3 finale twist, explaining his thoughts on a major question that's finally been answered. During the end of From season 3, Jade, Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Jim (Eion Bailey) discover the numbers in the Bottle Tree are actually musical notes. The former software developer plays them on Victor's (Scott McCord) violin, causing the children who say "Anghkooey" to appear. Jade realizes the word means "remember," and that he and Tabitha are Christopher (Thom Payne) and Miranda (Sarah Booth) reincarnated.
Speaking with Fangirlish, Alpay explained he had no idea From season 3 would feature the twist that Jade is Christopher reincarnated. Boasting his ability to see where most TV show stories are going, he praised creator Jeff Griffin and showrunner Josh Pinker for crafting an unpredictable storyline. He also breaks...

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."
The From season 3 finale resurrects a major villain killed from a previous season. Since the first episode, which begins with one of From's monsters killing Megan Pratt (Bella Martin) and her mother, Lauren (Ann Doyle), the series has been unafraid to kill characters. Father Khatri (Shaun Majumder), Tian-Chen Liu (Elizabeth Moy), Tillie (Deborah Grover), and now Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey) are among the many character deaths that have occurred since the first episode.
While many of the Township's residents have died, From's characters have not managed to kill most of the villains that terrorize them. One of the few exceptions is Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) killing the monster known as Smiley (Jame McGuire) in season 2, episode 6. Warning! This article contains major Spoilers for From season 3, episode 10!MGM+s From season 3 finale concludes with the shocking death of Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey), which marks the biggest death yet among the main characters. While Boyd Stevens can arguably be considered the main character of From, the story has largely been centered around the Matthews family, as their unfortunate arrival in town kicked off the series events. With Jim, Tabitha, Julie, and Ethan Matthews being so crucial to the story, it seemed unlikely that any of them would be killed off that soon, especially considering most previous From deaths had been supporting characters.
Jims death thus came as a major surprise in Froms season 3 finale. He wasnt the first significant character killed this season, with Tian-Chen, Tillie, and Dales deaths preceding him during season 3, but his will have the greatest story impact. Jim leaves behind his wife and their two children,...

Well, FROMily, your wishes have come true!
MGM+ has officially renewed From for a 10-episode fourth season, and we couldn’t be more thrilled—or terrified.
With the Season 3 finale just around the corner, fans are drowning in more questions than answers. But at least now, we know the journey isn’t over.

The only question is: Is that a good thing or a bad thing? You tell us.
Creator John Griffin hinted at what’s to come, saying, “With the culmination of Season Three, we have, in many ways, reached the end of the beginning. In Season Four, a new journey begins.”
The question is whether it will lead our characters home or deeper into this unrelenting nightmare,” he added.

“From has been a sensation for MGM+, capturing the attention of millions of viewers and helping us to shine a bright light on our MGM+ brand,” said Michael Wright, head of MGM+. “Our talented show creators and cast have brilliantly and carefully crafted this wonderful show, and we look forward to providing the answers the From audience so enthusiastically craves in season 4!”
From has been a hit out of the gate for MGM+. The sci-fi drama is the most viewed series in the history of the premium network, and has a 96 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.
“We are thrilled by the support of our fans and our partners at MGM+ and are so excited to share the next chapter of our story with our FROMily. By the end of season 3, our characters will begin to understand why they are trapped in From Town… but will understanding help them to escape? And if so, how?” said Pinkner.
Perrineau plays Boyd Stevens, the sheriff whose Draconian rules have held the fragile town together, even as he searches for a way to escape this seemingly inescapable nightmare.
“With the culmination of Season Three we have, in many ways, reached the end of the beginning. In Season Four, a new journey begins. The question is whether it will lead our characters home, or deeper into this unrelenting nightmare,” said Griffin. “We are so grateful to our partners at MGM+ to be able to continue this tale and beyond excited to share the news with our amazing FROMily.”
Added Bender: “Congratulations and gratitude to Michael Wright and MGM+ for the incredible support. And to our brilliant family of actors and our gifted team in Nova Scotia. We’re looking forward to telling more of the tale.”
From is an Amazon MGM Studios production. Jeff Pinkner, John Griffin and Jack Bender serve as executive producers alongside Perrineau, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec and Scott Rosenberg from Midnight Radio, Anthony and Joe Russo and Mike Larocca from Agbo, and Lindsay Dunn. Midnight Radio’s Adrienne Erickson serves as co-executive producer. The series is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

From season 3, episode 9, "Revelations: Chapter One" sees "Thomas" continuing to call Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey). Thomas was Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Jim's third child, who tragically died when he rolled off the changing table while his parents were briefly distracted. Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for From Season 3.Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey) had his issues and problems during Season 2 of From. Unfortunately, it appears they are growing worse in the show's current season. The patriarch of the Matthews family has gradually become the worst, most frustrating character among the survivors of the Town. Earlier, Randall Kirkland (A.J. Simmons) held the crown, but more recently, Randall is undergoing a redemptive arc in Season 3. Meanwhile, Jim has generally showcased mainly negative qualities for almost the entirety of the third season. Jims presence merely serves as a constant detractor from everyone else, and he fails to support and help his own family. It's time to discuss how Jim Matthews is reaching a tipping point in From Season 3.
