Kandra is the second oldest of four daughters born to Joyce Harrison (Bismark, North Dakota) and Mel Baker (Colorado Springs, Colorado).

In addition to sports, her other recreational activity all through childhood was acting. She starting winning Best Actress Awards in junior high school and began doing Community Theater at age nine. Kandra landed in Thousand Oaks, California to attend California Lutheran University. She was determined to become an Olympic Gymnast and an Attorney. "What, like it's hard?"

She graduated from California Lutheran University Cum Laude with a BS degree in Pre-Law. After her first year of law school, Kandra realized that rather than becoming a lawyer, she'd much rather play one on T.V. and embarked on an acting career. She was thrilled to work with such notables as Patrick Dempsey & Timothy Bottoms in Ava's Magical Adventure, Academy Award winner Jon Voight and Armand Assante in Eternity, John-Ryes Davies and Cory Haim in Double-O-Kid, Duane Clark & Stephen Baldwin in Bitter Harvest and Paul Rodriguez and Edward James Olmos in A Million To Juan.

Kandra decided to diversify and see what creative chord she could strike as a singer/songwriter. She wrote Children's Songs (available on Rugged Records) as well as pop, and country tunes produced by Grammy & Dove award winning producer, Dino Maddalone. Simultaneously, her enthusiasm for sports drew her to a new journey. She began to train hard as a dancer in all arenas, and was thrilled to perform Musical Theatre throughout Los Angeles. She managed to squeeze in a few television appearances and fell in love with comedy! Her notable theater performances include playing Betsy is Sweet Charity directed by Jon Engstrom who took home the Robby Award for his work on that show. She also got a "kick" out of performing in several musicals including the Award-Winning Anything Goes directed by Lewis Wilkenfeld and Award-Winning Camelot directed by Gary Romm at 2200 seat Thousand Oaks Civic Light Opera. When tragedy struck in 2000, she left the industry to sustain her family. However, the entertainment business had an irresistible pull on Kandra's heart strings and she re-entered the field in 2007, this time behind the scenes as a writer, director and producer. Her first endeavor was Little Steps...Walk with Jesus.

Kandra's love for children inspired her to get involved in several charity organizations. She is the Vice President and Founding Board Member for CARRY (Coalition for At-Risk Restoring Youth). The foundation is dedicated to transforming the lives of At-Risk and Foster youth in Los Angeles. She is also involved in Project Angel Tree which focuses on children whose parents are in prison and Samaritan's purse, which brings joy and hope to kids around the world. She loves God and is very active in her church and her community.

Kandra is working as an Actress, Executive Producer and TV Host. She appreciates all those that support her both professionally and personally.

Kandra is a sports enthusiast. She is an active golfer (16 handicap) a dancer in all areas of the art and a certified scuba diver. She received her blue belt in Tae Kwon Do. She is the number one Chargers football fan. Kandra is happily married to her hero & best friend: Jack King
