Wallace And Gromit | BBC confirms Christmas special, Vengeance Most Fowl
Wallace And Gromit return in feature length special Vengeance Most Fowl, a new 70 minute film coming this Christmas.

It’s a commonly held view among both animation aficionados and film fans in general that The Wrong Trousers is one of the best animated films ever made. Thirty perfect minutes crammed with character, jokes and the most well directed train chase sequence every committed to film, it won a BAFTA and an Academy Award.

It’s perhaps no surprise that for their big return to the small screen, Wallace and Gromit will face off against their iconic foe, Feathers McGraw, once more in Vengeance Most Fowl. The BBC has confirmed that the new film will be bigger in scope than its previous four short films – A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave and A Matter of Loaf and Death – and will in fact be a feature film closer...

Why The Thirteenth Doctor's K9 Reunion Never Happened
Image
K9 is one of Doctor Who’s most famous characters, but K9 rarely appears and there’s a reason k9 was never reunited with the Thirteenth Doctor. K9 is the product of the original Doctor Who, with writers Bob Baker and Dave Martin famously creating K9 for the 1977 story “The Invisible Enemy.” K9 was only meant to be a one-off character but Doctor Who producer at the time, Graham Williams, decided to make K9 a permanent character especially because of the appeal to children. K9 was a part of the Doctor Who team until 1981 and has had multiple spin-offs since, including in The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Despite K9’s popularity, the tin dog has not been seen in Doctor Who since its brief appearance during David Tennant’s reign as the Tenth Doctor. The 2006 season saw Doctor Who starting to link to the original series more, showing audiences that the...

The 15 Best Films Of The 1920s
Image
A few decades after the first experiments with the new technology of film, cinema in the 1920s was beginning to come of age. Filmmakers mastered the essentials and embarked on ambitious storytelling projects with increased flair and sophistication, turning movies from novelty to art in just a few short years. The film industry began operating at full capacity in the 1920s, churning out feature-length productions on a scale and frequency that would have been unthinkable a decade earlier.

Filmmakers of the 1920s start to diversify, some becoming experts in the large-scale epics that were the earliest versions of blockbusters, while others honed a unique style as auteurs that would define the period as part of a larger artistic movement. Our first movie stars come from this era, both silent comedians whose death-defying pratfalls rival any stunts performed today as well as romantic matinee idols who had audiences eating out of the palm of their hands.

Sing Us a Song: Butch Walker Is a Piano Man Named ‘Glenn’ on New Concept Album
Image
Butch Walker does nothing halfway: On his last album, a concept record about a politically divided America, he sang from the Pov of both earnest lefties and far-right loons. For the follow-up, Butch Walker As…Glenn, the guitar shredder, songwriter, and Green Day producer transforms into a Seventies barroom piano player whose name gives the record its title.

Ahead of its Aug. 26 release date, Walker announced the project with “Holy Water Hangover,” a piano ballad about losing sight of one’s identity. “Ain’t it funny when the mirror looks...

100 Great Kung Fu Movies – Part 5 (20-1)
When it comes to making features like this one, i love the idea of coming up with my own personal “100 Great Kung Fu Movies” of all time. It is tough choosing just 100 because you know there are many more great Kung Fu movies that are not on the list.

I understand everyone will have their own personal favorites and some may not agree with my list and that’s fine because it’s nice to have different opinions on this genre which keeps it fresh and alive when having good debates.

Anyway, thank you for taking time to have a look at my 100 Great Kung Fu movie list and feel free to add any movies in the comment box if they don’t make my list (I have probably forgotten many movies).

Number 1 is based on the choreography and overall movie which to me is a prime example of of...
