She had been discovered by Danny Thomas, who saw her on This Is Your Life (1955) while in Europe and then cast her in three episodes of The Danny Thomas Show (1953) that were filmed in Italy. Although Baldwin was needed, Pupa was nearly fluent in English by 1965 but by the end of the decade, she had returned to her home of Genoa, left show business, and married.
