    • George Balzer was born on September 1, 1915 in Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. He was a writer and actor, known for The Jack Benny Program (1950), Shower of Stars (1954) and O.K. Crackerby! (1965). He was married to Ada Marie Anderson. He died on September 28, 2006 in Van Nuys, California, USA.

Trivia

  • Part of a team of comedy writers who won the Emmy for The Jack Benny Program (1950), which premiered on television in 1950 and became The Jack Benny Hour (1965) in the mid-1960s. He started writing for Benny in 1943, when the show was on radio and moved to television with Benny during the 25 years he spent under contract with the famous comedian.
