Supernatural Quietly Hid a Genius Dexter Detail That Took Me 19 Years to Catch

Eric Kripke’s Supernatural stands tall as one of the most beloved fantasy shows, consistently infectiously popular among viewers and loved through and through. Despite the show ending 5 years ago, the 327-episode dark fantasy show would feel fresh like a daisy, taking its viewers back to 2005.

Throughout the 15 seasons of the show, numerous guest stars have left their mark on the series and its fans. One such name is Julie Benz, who appeared in the very first season and became one of the favorite actors who appeared as a guest. However, this was not the only iconic guest role of her career.

The Jawbreaker actress has also been a part of Michael C. Hall’s Dexter. However, her time in the crime thriller was not the best, recalling how she was taken off the show.

Growing up in a small suburban town, the horror fan base was enormous but the festivities geared toward such a crowd were few and far between. The first ever horror film festival in my hometown launched when I was eighteen years old and, although I’ve attended many larger-scale festivals since, this one remains unforgettable. Not only did I get to meet a couple horror icons (there were only two in attendance) and view the works of young horror filmmakers, this festival was history in the making and I was there.

Unfortunately for the townspeople in Midnight Matinee (1989), their first horror film festival also made history… and they only wish that they could forget. But as far as the film itself, it won’t take me long to forget.

Episode Recap: Supernatural - 1.12: "Faith"
Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) are on a hunt. Dean uses a stun gun on the Rawhead, who preys on bad children and electrocutes himself when he crawls into some water. Sam uses a fake credit card to pay for the hospital bill. Dean under the alias of Joe, found some children in the basement. The doctor tells them electrocution triggered a heart attack and his heart is damaged. The most he has is a few weeks or months. They can only keep him comfortable, they can't work miracles. Which is what this episode is mostly about. So already they were playing havoc with our guys and putting their lives at risk and the death that stalks them with hunting is made even more real for Dean now.
