Production on Reacher Season 4 is back in action — and back in Philly. Fans of the hit Prime Video series were recently treated to a promising development after a few weeks of uncertainty surrounding the show’s future. Following creator Lee Child’s comments about the difficulties of adapting Gone Tomorrow, production crews have returned to Philadelphia, which is a sign of good forward momentum for Jack Reacher’s next violent adventure.

New street signs posted July 30 notified residents of film crews from “Turkey Meatloaf Productions” — the working title for Reacher, which hopefully — occupying several key blocks between 17th and 19th Streets. According to the notice, Amazon Prime crews were slated to shoot scenes between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, locking down portions of Walnut, Locust, and 18th Street.

News of the show’s cancellation arrived Friday night after its streaming ratings notably declined between season premieres. After debuting on Netflix at No.1 on Nielsen’s streaming charts during its premiere week two years ago in May 22-28 with 1.53 billion minutes of viewing, season two accumulated 412 million viewing minutes this year during the week of June 9-15.

In total, Fubar’s minutes of viewing declined by 73 percent from season one to two. During its premiere week, the series landed at No. 8 among Netflix’s original shows for its second season.

The show managed to make Nielsen’s streaming originals top 10 for the week of June 16, after its premiere, but then fell off the chart the following week.

According to Deadline, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, who starred in Freddy vs. Jason and Race to Witch Mountain, joined the cast in a recasting. The opportunity arose after actor Jay Baruchel had to exit the series for personal reasons.

Deadline reported that the replacement comes after it was revealed that Baruchel joined the cast a few weeks ago. Rodriguez-Marquette will now play Jacob Merrick, a small-town policeman. The role is no small part; it is supposedly meaty, which means the actor's character should have a lot of camera time.

The 43-year-old actor was announced to be joining the cast of Reacher as small-town police officer Jacob Merrick earlier this month. On Friday (June 27), Entertainment Weekly reported that Jay was forced to drop out of the series.

According to EW, Jay had to drop out of the series so suddenly “to a personal matter.” Following his departure, the role has already been recast.

Barry actor Chris Marquette will be taking over the role of Jacob Merrick following Jay‘s departure.

The character is one that was created by Lee Child for his Jack Reacher book series. The new season of Reacher will be based on the 13th book in the series which is the same book that debuts the character Jacob Merrick, a police officer who teams up with Jack Reacher in order to stop a dangerous conspiracy.

Reacher is returning to the screens with its fourth season, bringing back Alan Ritchson along with the rest of the star-studded cast. Besides the actors who were already there, the incredible cast has also been met with additions as some new stars have been cast in the show as well – a list that formerly included actor Jay Baruchel, too.

However, as the release date of the same draws near, the Prime Video series has some rather disappointing news to share with the fans: the fan-favorite Baruchel can no longer make its way to the screens alongside Ritchson’s titular hero. Instead, the role has been recast with another stunning actor: Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette.

Ian McKellen, Jessica Gunning, Michaela Coel and James Corden star in Soderbergh’s movie about the estranged children of a famous artist who hire a forger to finish their father’s unfinished paintings so they can be sold after his death.

Soderbergh directed The Christophers based on a script by Now You See Me scribe Ed Solomon. The creative duo collaborated on earlier projects like No Sudden Move, Full Circle and Mosaic.

Also getting a first look in Toronto is DaCosta’s Hedda, a reimagining of the Henrik Ibsen stage play Hedda Gabler that stars Tessa Thompson, Nina Hoss and Imogen Poots. Thompson will play Hedda Gabler, considered one of the greatest dramatic roles in theater history.

Reacher season 4 is heading to New York City, and it looks like the Prime Video show is adapting Gone Tomorrow. Alan Ritchson recently posted a selfie on Instagram of him holding a copy of Lee Child’s Gone Tomorrow.

The TV show hasn’t followed Lee Child’s books chronologically. It started with the Reacher novel Killing Floor, then leapt ahead to the 11th book in the series, Bad Luck and Trouble. Season 3 then jumped back to book 7, Persuader. The team seem to be picking the more action-packed books rather than following the strict timeline.

The author admits that the books are written in a way that means you don’t need to read in order. "I want them to be able to read that as equal to any other book in the series," he told Men's Journal earlier this year. So, it doesn’t matter than the fourth season is the 13th book.

The title Fubar might catch you off guard at first—it sounds strange, almost like a joke. But it’s actually military slang for “Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition,” which, in hindsight, fits the show like a glove. Everything about Fubar screams chaos—characters constantly caught in messy situations, missions spiraling out of control, and secrets exploding at the worst possible moments.

At the heart of the story are Luke Brunner and his daughter Emma—both living double lives as CIA agents without knowing the other is doing the same. Their entire dynamic is built on lies until a shared assignment blows the lid off everything. What follows is part spy-thriller, part messy family drama, as Luke and Emma stumble their way through rebuilding trust, learning to see each other not just as father and daughter, but as flawed, layered individuals trying to make sense of the wreckage together.

Let’s do the math for release date, season 3 began filming in late 2023 and is set for a February 2025 drop. That’s a 15-month window from start to finish. Season 4 production kicked off mid-June 2025. Add the same timeline? You’re looking at September 2026. That means fans should brace for a longer-than-usual wait of about 19 months between seasons.

A studio that originally positioned itself as the antithesis to Disney is taking a very Disney-esque approach with its live-action rendition of one of its most revered IPs, arguably one of the most non-Disney Disney movies of the 2010s. The live-action How to Train Your Dragon has officially taken flight at the global box office, pulling in a soaring $197.8 million in its opening weekend. That includes a solid $83.7 million domestically and an impressive $114.1 million from international markets.

With a reported production budget of $150 million and an estimated $100 million in marketing costs, Universal will need the film to approach the $500 million mark globally just to break even after accounting for theater revenue splits.

As more reviews came in, that has changed slightly, but Fubar Season 2 has the critics and the audience divided with very different scores on Rotten Tomatoes.

Per FlixPatrol,Reacher is making its way back to the top of the Prime Video TV streaming charts. As of June 14, the Alan Ritchson-led series is in the No. 4 spot in the Top 10.

Reacher has gained one spot in the Top 10 recently. Another day brings us yet another live-action remake of a beloved animated film and, this time, the DreamWorks feature "How To Train Your Dragon" finds itself squarely in the crosshairs. By all accounts, the new reimagining does precisely what it set out to do: follow the structure of the original practically beat for beat and scene for scene, but now with a shiny, live-action patina. Although newcomer Mason Thames steps in for Jay Baruchel as our new Hiccup, much of everything else remains more or less the same. Gerard Butler reprises his role as Hiccup's stubborn Viking father Stoick. Everybody's favorite giant cat-masquerading-as-a-dragon Toothless looks exactly like he did 15 years ago. And, of course, writer-director Dean DeBlois was brought back to do almost everything he already did with the 2010 animated film.

Fubar star Travis Van Winkle is setting the record straight on claims made by artificial intelligence (AI). While some AI-generated "facts" about the actor are true, others are not, demonstrating how the accuracy of the technology still has a lot of room for improvement.

Van Winkle spent more than 12 minutes fielding one claim after another in a new video shared by Screen Rant. Kicking off the video, he confirms that he played the same character in both the Friday the 13th and Transformers franchises, though he debunked that he has a role in The Last Sharknado: It's About Time. He gets into many other claims made about him by AI, and the full video can be watched below.

Review: There’s always plenty of debate whenever one of these live-action adaptations of a cartoon releases. No matter what filmmakers do, there’s always going to be a sect of people who disapprove. As proven by Lilo & Stitch, I am not one of those people, and simply want the cartoon translated to real life. That means there are going to be some changes because, let’s face it, cartoons don’t have to deal with logic in the same way. Which means I’m accepting of those kinds of changes. Just don’t completely replace a banger song with something drab and uninspired and not expect to get backlash.
