Wonder Man: It Appears The Series Has Almost Completed Post-Production (Despite Having No Premiere Date)
Image
It appears work on Wonder Man is almost finished, a strong indication it will be released on Disney+ in 2025 alongside Daredevil: Born Again and Ironheart.

While there was no mention of the series at Comic-Con or D23, showrunner Andrew Guest has shared a picture of himself and director/executive producer Destin Daniel Cretton working on "our final mix playback in person at Skywalker Ranch."

No additional details were shared but it's clear Marvel Studios is no longer going to announce or release small screen projects before they're ready. Ironheart, for example, wrapped filming all the way back in 2022.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will play Wonder Man, while Demetrius Grosse (Fear the Walking Dead) has been cast as his brother, classic Avengers villain, The Grim Reaper.

Last month, we sat down with Grosse to discuss his role in Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot...

‘Attack on Titan’ Publisher Kodansha Joins the Script2Comic Contest
Image
The Script2Comic Contest is going international. The competition that turns screenplays into comic books has a new sponsor: the Japanese publisher Kodansha, which is behind titles such as Attack on Titan, Akira and Ghost and the Shell.

It’s a noteworthy move for Script2Comic, as its winners now could have their work being turned into a Manga that Kodansha could develop into an animated series, in addition to being published as comics in the United States by boutique publisher Amp Comics.

“This partnership embodies our enduring commitment to discovering new talents in the world of manga and graphic novels. We believe that this contest offers a unique platform for storytellers to bring their visions to life and potentially reach a global audience,” said Yohei Takami, director of the rights media business division of Kodansha.

Script2Comic founder Don Handfield, known for producing the Michael Keaton feature The Founder and History’s Knightfall,...

Mexican Police Arrest Man In Deaths Of Two U.S. Tourists After ‘Tummy Tuck’ Trip To Mexico
Image
On March 3, Shaeed Woodard, Zindell Brown, Eric Williams and Latavia McGee took a road trip from North Carolina to the state of Tamaulipas in Matamoros, Mexico – an area controlled by the Gulf cartel.

Despite McGee’s mother’s warnings of the trip not being safe and Brown’s own feelings of danger, the group proceeded to cross the border in their white minivan. McGee called her mother just 15 minutes before the procedure, reassured her she would be fine, and the two never talked again.

An unverified video showed a group of four people being dragged into the bed of a pickup truck. Williams’ driver’s license was found at the scene. Authorities believe the cartel mistook the tourists for Haitian drug smugglers.

Woodard and Brown were killed during the abduction while Williams was shot in the leg. All four were being held at a stash house in a rural area of Matamoros.
